This is 詳細（に述べる）d guide to setting up a FarWatch webserver. If you have come here without an overview of FarWatch, you should probably read this first.

- You must 始める，決める up an externally accessible web server on your PC. This isn't as bad as it sounds. An excellent 一括 for Windows, Linux (and others?) is 利用できる 解放する／自由な. The downside of setting up a web server on your PC is that you need to do it 井戸／弁護士席, or your PC is accessible to bad people out there on the internet who may do things to your PC that you don't want. Just, perhaps, don't do it on the PC you have 始める，決める up to 接近 your bank account without the "nuisance" of typing in your password each time.
If you don't have a static IP 演説（する）／住所, you DON'T need a domain 指名する (e.g. MyPlace.com). If you don't have a static IP 演説（する）／住所, you are going to acquire a domain 指名する along with the service that tells everyone where to find the Good Stuff that comes from that URL. (If you DO have a static IP 演説（する）／住所, getting your own domain 指名する is trivial... so simple that I 港／避難所't said anything about it here. 接触する me if you have the static IP 演説（する）／住所 and need help with the domain 指名する thing.)

If you want to do the whole thing really, really 簡単に (crudely!), you only "need" a jpg that changes from time to time. When everything else has been 始める，決める up, as explained below, you can 接近 the jpg 直接／まっすぐに, at least with Firefox.
Assuming that "the とじ込み／提出する that changes" is a jpeg, or other graphic that html 供給するs for, once you have it, a more elegant way to look at it across the web is as follows: Create a simple text とじ込み／提出する 持つ／拘留するing the に引き続いて little bit of html. One of the nice things about this approach is that you "divide and 征服する／打ち勝つ". Get the html working in one step. Get whatever changes the jpg working in a separate step. I don't know enough about this important topic. The に引き続いて is my best guess. Understand that no 事柄 how much you know, 追加するing a way into your system from the internet entails 危険. Simple 安全, step A: Avail yourself of OS (Windows, etc) updates. It is a two 辛勝する／優位d sword, and you can argue the "do" and the "don't" 代案／選択肢s. Me? I think it is better to do it than not.
Simple 安全, step B:Put good anti-malware ソフトウェア on your PC. I like the one from eSet.
My gateway 申し込む／申し出s DHCP... it will 割り当てる IP 演説（する）／住所s to any computers trying to connect to it.. if you want it to. It also 申し込む／申し出s 非武装地帯. I'm going to put the PC for this 事業／計画（する） on a static IP 演説（する）／住所 (within the LAN... the "outside world" of the internet won't know of it), and I was going to put that 演説（する）／住所 in the 非武装地帯... but as I struggled with things, I （機の）カム to the 結論 that this was a Bad Idea... it made the 非武装地帯'd PC more 攻撃を受けやすい that it needed to be. It seems port 今後ing gives the outside world enough 接近, without 開始 the door さらに先に than is necessary. (I tried the 非武装地帯 approach because I thought port 今後ing wasn't working 権利. When, using one of the PCs on the LAN the FarWatch server was on, I tried to 接近 the FarWatch page I didn't get it... I got the スピードを出す／記録につける in page for the router's configuration instead. There's more on this in the page I wrote about it. That （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） may also help you if you 港／避難所't done much with servers, etc, before. If you are having the "get スピードを出す／記録につける in page instead" problem, the work-around is to connect to the web 経由で a dial-up 関係, and 接近 your FarWatch service that way, for 実験（する）ing 目的s. As long as you are not using a computer on the same LAN as the FarWatch server, you should get what you want, not the スピードを出す／記録につける in page.
To put a PC into the 非武装地帯 or 始める，決める up port 今後ing, a 範囲 of 地元の IP 演説（する）／住所s will need to be reserved, i.e. taken out of the DHCP pool-of-利用できる-for 配分-演説（する）／住所s, if your gateway hasn't already done this, in 予期 of the approach I am using.
On the DHCP 前線, don't be 混乱させるd: There are probably two DHCP's in you life. Your gateway will need to 明示する it's IP 演説（する）／住所 FOR CONNECTION TO YOUR ISP, or use the DHCP PROVIDED BY THE ISP. Here your gateway is a （弁護士の）依頼人 of another DHCP service. A DIFFERENT DHCP SERVICE will probably be built into your gateway, this time as the server, serving the computers on your LAN, serving the computers your gateway connects to one another and to the internet.

When you think that's done, you should 実験（する） that the PC connects to the internet, and to any appropriate computers on the LAN. If you are new to all of this, you should know that re-booting Windows and/ or 力／強力にする cycling your gateway will often （疑いを）晴らす mysterious problems. (You should not have to do either routinely... but they いつかs help, even when they "shouldn't" be needed, after settings changes.)
I spent several hours getting everything on these 前線s the way I 手配中の，お尋ね者 it. If you do not have a static IP 演説（する）／住所, and most home 使用者s won't, you need to avail yourself of one of the clever work-arounds that the geeks come up with for us.
What follows is an earlier 試みる／企てる to discuss some 事柄s that are 核心 to several of the 事業／計画（する）s I discuss in さまざまな pages. Under it's 肌, the internet 作品 on numbers, not nice human-friendly URLs like SheepdogSoftware.co.uk. When you type that into your browser, the browser sends it out to a Domain 指名する Server (DNS), where it is translated into something like 212.134.32.120. The DNS computers are out there on the internet, like the email "地位，任命する offices" that most of us use. You don't often have to think about them. Things "just work", under the 肌 of the system.
The web server you are going to 始める，決める up will have a nice friendly URL... let's say it will be FredsPC.dyndns.org
Because your server is 接近d over the internet 関係 供給するd to you by your ISP, the DNS computers need to know the number ("IP 演説（する）／住所", like the 212... above). Then when people ask for FredsPC.dyndns.org, they (the DNS computers) can "tell" the calling program, "Oh, you'll find that at....".
Now... here's were it gets clever. Your computer will need to check from time to time to see if your ISP has changed the IP 演説（する）／住所 you were using. If it sees that this has happened, it "calls up" the people helping you, tells them, and then they take care of making the 関連した changes in the DNS servers. 位置／汚点／見つけ出す the drawback? When your IP 演説（する）／住所 is changed, there will be a short period during which people won't find you. If you thoughtlessly or selfishly 始める，決める the "check my IP 演説（する）／住所" 率 too high, your ISP and others will not be pleased, and you may find you have problems. Hey! If you want a "perfect" system, 支払う／賃金 for a static IP 演説（する）／住所! If you are lucky, your router will have built in features to do the checking and updating. The 残り／休憩（する） of us can use a 解放する／自由な program called DynDnsUpdater.
Anyway... for the "check IP 演説（する）／住所" ソフトウェア, and the service that keeps the DNS computers up to date, you have 選択s. The one I use is at....

Go to the DNS Services page, and thence to the "Dynamic DNS" page (Look for the について言及する of the fact that the service is 解放する／自由な.)
As I 令状 this, I am going through everything for the second time, so I am 単に logging into my account and 追加するing a second dynamic DNS. I don't remember any 重要な 問題／発行するs for the first time 使用者 of the service. The first time I tried to 調印する up, I was just ignored if I put in a yahoo email 演説（する）／住所... there wasn't even an error message. You choose the first part, e.g. the FredsPC part, almost without 制限.

During the 過程 of choosing the hostname, the nice people at DynDns check your 現在の IP 演説（する）／住所, and use that for a starting point.
I didn't "enable wildcard" or enter anything for "mail exchanger".

It may be a little while before entering FredsPC.dyndns.org into your browser 産する／生じるs anything even half sensible. (It takes time(?) for "the word" to get out to everyone that needs to know). However, my very quick 試みる／企てる to 接近 the URL I'd 始める，決める up （機の）カム 支援する after about 30 seconds with a "関係 has timed out... server at FredsPC.dyndns.org is taking too long to 答える／応じる." 返答. (You do realize that "FredsPC.dyndns.org is just a hypothetical, example 指名する, don't you?)
"Server at mon277rr.dyndns.org is taking too long to 答える／応じる" is probably GOOD news, though... notice the system didn't say "FredsPC.dyndns.org could not be 設立する". The people at DynDns seem to have done the 職業 of sending the request to the 権利 IP 演説（する）／住所... but there was no server there, hence the 欠如（する） of 返答!
Oh dear... as I 令状 that a little worm of 疑問 arises. In the first system I 始める，決める up, I couldn't 接近 it from any computer running on the same gateway. The gateway "cleverly" just re-directed me to myself, and it didn't work. On that system, I was able to do 実験（する）s either from a friend's PC, or by using an old dial up 関係 to the internet to "get in" by a different 大勝する. Maybe on the system I am using as I 令状 this for you, my use of port 今後ing is getting around the "can't talk to yourself" problems?
===DynDnsUpdater- a little program to make your DynDns account useful===
Anyway! We now have the help of the people at DynDns.org. As long as we keep them 地位，任命するd as to our 現在の IP 演説（する）／住所, they will send all of FredsPC.dyndns.org's traffic there.
So... how do we keep them 地位，任命するd? Either we use DynDns support built into our router, if we have that feature, or....
From the DynDns 場所／位置 ("Update （弁護士の）依頼人s" link... "（弁護士の）依頼人s" 存在 in this 状況 a 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 for the ソフトウェア you need), you can 接近 （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） and a download link for "DynDNS Updater", the 解放する／自由な program I've been using.
Read the advice they give, download the program 古記録. Unzip it. Run the installer.
I 設立する the "明示する hostname group" item perplexing. It wouldn't 受託する nothing, but I don't think I have a use for the feature. I put in MyHostnames.
Next （機の）カム a request for my DynDns.org login 詳細（に述べる）s. This isn't 単に FredsPC.... it is your DynDns （弁護士の）依頼人 （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）. Ordinarily, I'm very careful with 解放（する）ing such things, but, if you think about it, the request for the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） is necessary in this 事例／患者.
Next （機の）カム an 申し込む／申し出 to download your hostname info from DynDns. If you have just one host running, say FredsPC.dyndns.org, it makes sense to use this 選択. I 拒絶する／低下するd, 存在 afraid that the ソフトウェア would get 始める，決める up to change the DNS 入ること／参加（者）s for ALL of my DynDns served hostnames... which I didn't want, as they should send people to different computers!!
I was using 勝利，勝つ Millennium (親族 of Win98), so I 拒絶する／低下するd "任命する／導入する as service". It was 始める，決める up to start with Windows, and I'll need to remember to keep it running whenever I want my server 明白な.
Don't 混乱させる the "update" DynDnsUpdater is all about with the more usual sort of "update". The more usual one is just looking for new 解放（する）s, patches, etc, to 改善する the ソフトウェア you are running. What DynDnsUpdater is updating is your （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） in the DNS computers. Unless your 使用／適用 is 批判的な, you might want to lengthen the time between checks. Every 5 minutes seems a little wasteful of their servers and my bandwidth. The "軍隊 update" is a good idea.

When I first ran the program, it got 混乱させるd, and changed the IP 演説（する）／住所 to the machine's 地元の 演説（する）／住所, 192.168...
I rebooted the system... always a good idea, and いつかs 需要・要求するd, after any ソフトウェア 取り付け・設備.

DynDnsUpdater, when 始める，決める to run when Windows is booted (which you want, I think) doesn't 遂行する this with the usual shortcut in the startup group. If you go in with msconfig, you'll find an 入ること／参加（者） in the "Startup" tab of msconfig. Not a problem... I only について言及する it so that you don't worry if you notice nothing in the "startup" folder.

Before we talk about a web server, let's talk about what it is NOT....
A web browser (オペラ, Firefox, or 法案's thing) is not a web server. Your web browser can 陳列する，発揮する a page of html for you from your hard disk, but such a page is not 存在 "served".
追加するing a web server to your machine is a 事柄 of 任命する／導入するing and configuring some ソフトウェア. It is a bit like 任命する／導入するing an anti-ウイルス program. Once it is there, it just gets on with doing a 職業. The server I am going to tell you about is 解放する／自由な, is 広範囲にわたって used, and is called Apache.
(You can 任命する／導入する just the Apache server. But I would commend a わずかに braver move to you... 任命する／導入する one of the excellent "WAMP" 一括s! Yes, you are doing more. You may be a beginner in these things, wanting to go a little way 負かす／撃墜する the road at a time. 罰金... 任命する／導入する just Apache. But if you take my advice, you'll 任命する／導入する a "WAMP" 一括, e.g. the one from www.wampserver.com/en/. That will give you the Apache server you need now, and the start of a MySQL 取り付け・設備, and a PHP server.... WAMP: Windows Apache Mysql and Php.
Having the Apache server is a 広大な／多数の／重要な start 負かす／撃墜する the next "avenue" of adventure in your 計算するing life. Once you are on that avenue, you may 井戸／弁護士席 soon want 接近 to MySQL (even if you love Open Office's database), and PHP. Might 同様に have them in place. The WAMP 一括 does a good 職業.
If you take my advice, and 任命する／導入する the WAMP 一括, read the に引き続いて section with 知能, skipping some bits, learning from others.
Whether you go the WAMP 大勝する, or the "just Apache" 大勝する, there will be some setting up to do! I did a fresh 任命する／導入する of WAMP, の上に a Windows XP machine, on 26 March 2012. I wish I could give you a 十分な blow- by- blow account... I will try to do so one day!

There are さまざまな things which could 原因（となる） this. One thing that is probably part of your problem, even if not all of it, is that the WAMP 一括, at least as downloaded 26Mar12, is configured with "the door locked".
I think the nice people who put it together want to 軍隊 you to 打ち明ける it. There are so many ways things can be 始める，決める up, not all of them good, that the nice people need to 直す／買収する，八百長をする things so that any problems are because YOU 打ち明けるd too much. How do you 打ち明ける "enough" without 打ち明けるing "too much"?? I DON'T KNOW!!! All I can tell you is what I did....
The WAMP 支配（する）／統制する 中心 gives 平易な 接近 to editing the 必須の config とじ込み／提出する, httpd.conf. You just left click on the WAMP icon in the system tray, click "Apache", click "httpd.conf", and the とじ込み／提出する opens in editor. Make changes. Save. RESTART APACHE, if running (start if not).

The ソフトウェア you want, assuming you are a Windows 使用者 who just wants to use the server, is the "Win32 Binary (MSI Installer)". It will work on a mere Win98SE machine.... maybe even something older! If your machine isn't 始める，決める to hide 拡張s, you'll see that you've downloaded an .msi とじ込み／提出する.

早期に on, you'll be advised to read the 任命する／導入する.txt とじ込み／提出する. I think you have to finish the 初期の 任命する／導入する before you can do this!
A little later, you are asked for a 網状組織 domain and a server 指名する. If you have a static IP 演説（する）／住所, I think you will have to 登録（する） a domain 指名する, and get the DNS 始める，決める up to point 訪問者s to that 演説（する）／住所... but these areas outside of my 専門的知識. For those of us with dynamic IP 演説（する）／住所s, the 解放する／自由な-for-personal-use service at DynDns.org is the answer.
Let's say that you have the use of FredsPC.dyndns.org. I'm putting that (all of it) in to the Apache 体制／機構 BOTH for "網状組織 domain", and "server 指名する".

When the 取り付け・設備 was 完全にする, there was an icon in the system tray. When I hovered, a message appeared: "No Services 任命する／導入するd". 二塁打 clicking started the Apache Service 監視する. You can (should?) 出口 this app- at least if you are using Win98, or, I think, WinMe.
In Win98, and, I'm guessing, in WinMe, you can't use the server the way it thinks you might want to use it.
Use the Start/ Programs/ Apache HTTP / 支配（する）／統制する Apache Server menu to 開始する，打ち上げる "Start Apache in Console." I'm pretty sure you can put a shortcut to that in your Startup folder, and take the 監視する Apache shortcut out of it. That seems (mostly) to work.
You get a boring DOS window, 肩書を与える: HTTPD, no text in window, just a 黒人／ボイコット console 審査する. This is 罰金! Don't worry about the fact it is empty.
Try 接近ing FredsPC.dyndns.org. As discussed above, you may need to do it from somewhere outside the LAN served by the gateway that is also serving the PC running the web server. (You can do it 経由で a computer... even if it is on the LAN... which is 接近ing the internet 経由で a dial up 関係.)
You don't even need to put something on the PC to be served... The Apache 任命する／導入する 含むs a default page of html, which gives you "It 作品!". (Does what it says on the can!)
If you don't get through, and your circumstances 許す, you might try, for the moment, 減ずるing your 保護... turn off firewall... If that's not 始める，決める 権利, things won't go in or out. When it is 始める，決める "権利", be sure it is not 許すing TOO MUCH to go in and out!!! I had to give my PC's firewall (Agnitum) a 支配する 説....
"Where 議定書 is TCP, inbound, on 地元の port HTTP: 許す it."
(Oh yes.. and earlier, I'd let Outpost 始める，決める up a 支配する giving the DynDnsUpdater 許可 to Do Things.)
In my 事例／患者, I was seeing timeouts, and 関係 辞退するd... UNTIL I 始める，決める the port 今後ing to 許す the serving PC, on it's static LAN 演説（する）／住所, to 今後 just port 80, just for TCP.
I'm still, after all these years, amazed by how much 楽しみ something like those two little words ("It 作品") can give.
To be sure the server was really working, I then edited the に引き続いて とじ込み／提出する. (The とじ込み／提出する spec is one "line", but your computer's word 包む may 陳列する，発揮する it across two lines. 類似の 状況／情勢s 存在する どこかよそで in this guide.)

(Notepad will do... but the 解放する／自由な-to-try editor from Textpad.com is SO much better! (I do most of my work... and all of my html editing... with it.)
I changed the "It 作品!" to "Hi from what will be the FarWatch server."
I then saved my edit of 索引.html, and refreshed the page. Saw my edits!! And all this on a PC on the same LAN as the serving PC. (This will only work across the LAN, of course, if the machine you are using has the necessary 接近 権利s to the 関連した とじ込み／提出するs on the FarWatch-server-to-be. You can simple work 直接／まっすぐに on that machine for the とじ込み／提出する editing steps.) (I think the fact that the serving PC had a static LAN IP, and the others were getting DHCP services from the gateway made the difference. Remember: On my other system, I can't 接近 my served pages 経由で a PC on the same LAN.)

Change the "DocumentRoot" 入ること／参加（者）. SAVE your edits 支援する to the レコード. You must also change the directory 選択s setting section for the DocumentRoot directory, or you will get "Forbidden..." when you try to 接近 the とじ込み／提出する.
I SUSPECT THAT GIVING ACCESS TO A FOLDER SO FAR UP THE DIRECTORY TREE IS A BAD IDEA.... but not a VERY Bad idea... maybe 安全な to do a quick "play", but then use a more 深く，強烈に buried folder if the default is not 満足な.
Kill HTTPD, if it is running. It doesn't seem to 受託する any 命令（する）s from the keyboard, so just kill it, 経由で Windows, the 天然のまま way, not worrying about the 警告 that you will "lose unsaved （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）", etc.
再開する HTTPD
Re-接近 the page. (If you don't see your changes, make sure that the page isn't coming from a （武器などの）隠匿場所. In Firefox, the way my 取り付け・設備 is configured, using the "Go" button again doesn't seem (always) to fetch the page as it now is on the server, but the reload button does seem always to check with the server.)

The hard bits are done! (^_^)
What's left is making the system 強健な. You need the 権利 things to start when Windows starts, so that a reboot after a 力／強力にする 失敗 doesn't need too much human 介入.
Have you heard? PCs are beginning to 現れる with BIOSes which put us 支援する to where we were before! For the past やめる-a-few years, when a 力／強力にする 失敗 happened, PCs didn't come 支援する on when the 力／強力にする did, the way a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する lamp would. They used to, in the "good old days", but then, for a while, it took a human finger to 再開する a computer that had been through a 力／強力にする 失敗. Now we are again seeing PCs that will 再開する themselves when the 力／強力にする comes 支援する. You いつかs have to tell the BIOS that you want this 選択.
Of course, you can make WHAT is served up when you 接近 FredsPC.dyndns.org as fancy as you like... but that's a story for another time.
So... what's needed for a smooth reboot?
a) The web server needs to 再開する. That, in a Windows 98 machine, is a 事柄 of having the "Start Apache in Console" shortcut in your Start/Programs/Startup folder.
b) DynDnsUpdater needs to 再開する. That, unless you've changed things, happens because of something put in the registry during the 任命する／導入する of the program
c) You anti-ウイルス, firewall, etc, need to 再開する. They typically are 任命する／導入するd in a self starting configuration. Be sure you didn't turn off and LEAVE off any of these things while you worked your way past the さまざまな 障害s to success.
d) The program which 原因（となる）s the 診察するd とじ込み／提出する on your computer to change needs to be 再開するd. That will probably be a 事柄 of a shortcut in your Start/Programs/Startup folder.
When you 実験（する） your system, remember that most gateways take a little while to 回復する their link to the internet (40 seconds?) after a 力／強力にする cycle. Your computer may be ready, and try to use the link, before it is ready. The computer should, I hope, be able to nicely just retry later if the link isn't ready in time. 実験（する） this by leaving the gateway's 力／強力にする off until you've seen what the computer does.

Unlike the clever Google search engine, FreeFind's 単に looks for the words you type, so....

* Don't bother with "How do I get rich?" That will 単に return pages with "how", "do", "I"....
公表，暴露: FreeFind tells me what people have searched for. It doesn't tell me your personal 詳細（に述べる）s. (If someone would "秘かに調査する" on you, wouldn't they also feel 解放する／自由な to 嘘（をつく） in a "privacy 声明"? Not to say I'm not lying... how can you tell?... but to say "What are privacy 声明s 価値（がある）?".
