Sensing and 支配（する）／統制する for hobbyists and schools: Connecting using X-10
Before I start: Forget about those infuriating pop-ups advertising "X-10" 監視 cameras. I'm afraid they do seem to be part of THIS X-10. After their 広告 （選挙などの）運動をする I want nothing to do with them, but I have to tell you that there IS a GOOD X-10, which I will now introduce...
Years ago, someone began a family of 製品s that is now 円熟した, and 利用できる in the US and UK.
In my home, I have a little box like a TV remote 支配（する）／統制する. It has 8 buttons. さまざまな 電気の 器具s around the house are plugged into their 塀で囲む sockets 経由で an unobtrusive little box. If I 圧力（をかける） button "A", the photocopier is switched on. It is upstairs. I turn it on before I leave my desk downstairs. By the time I'm at the machine, it has warmed up. If I 圧力（をかける） button "B" several lamps around the living room are turned on. I can then adjust their brightness 経由で a rocker on the remote 支配（する）／統制する.
To my personal knowledge, X-10 is 広大な／多数の／重要な for actuators. They can be of the "on/ off" type (photocopier), or, for incandescent lamps, you can have different brightnesses.
I believe, but 港／避難所't used 本人自身で, that you can 統合する sensor 装置s into an X-10 system. You can have other 監査役s than the remote I 述べるd above. You can have a PC 支配（する）／統制する the 装置s on the X-10 網状組織. For ソフトウェア, I am happy with "ActiveHome" from www.x10.com, even now, after checking this link, I 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う they were the people behind the dreadful 広告s. I'm no 専門家 on X-10 ソフトウェア, though, and I have not 調査するd the field.

The plug in 装置s to go between your, say, lamp and the 塀で囲む socket are not the only 選択. If you are competent, you can fit 装置s to a 基準 電気の パネル盤. PLEASE REMEMBER MY WARNING: Don't mess with 世帯 electricity unless you are SURE you know what you are doing.
