Licensing 戦略
OpenOffice.org uses a 二重の-license 戦略 for the source code of the 事業／計画（する）s 科学（工学）技術. The two licenses are:
The 二重の-license 機械装置 enables the fullest degree of open and 解放する／自由な 接近 to the 科学（工学）技術 for both the GPL community 同様に as other developer communities that all wish to develop and 配達する 両立できる, high-質 製品s for a 網状組織d world ― 力／強力にするd with open office 生産性 services 科学（工学）技術.

The 重要な 客観的なs for licensing the OpenOffice.org 事業／計画（する） source code are to enable it to:
1. Be 両立できる and accessible to 事業／計画（する）s using the GNU GPL. The 多様制,
革新, and 勢い of 事業／計画（する）s within the GPL community 委任統治（領） that
the OpenOffice.org 科学（工学）技術 use the GPL licensing.
2. 供給する a licensing structure for other open communities that are 相いれない
with GNU GPL licensing. Again, the extensiveness of such 事業／計画（する）s and their
多様制 of 使用／適用 要求する OpenOffice.org to be accessible to these
communities.
3. Be 利用できる for licensing to 商業の companies wanting to 利用する the 科学（工学）技術 within their 製品s and/or 供給する branded 見解／翻訳／版s of the 科学（工学）技術 as 製品s to their 顧客s. Many of these companies 要求する more 伝統的な 商業の license 条件 and ancillary support services from another 商業の vendor.

Through 二重の licensing of OpenOffice.org 科学（工学）技術, the first three points can be 満足させるd by choosing the companion license to the GPL. The second license must be able to 明示する 必要物／必要条件s of 同意／服従, while 供給するing freedom of 革新 by 要求するing that 相いれない changes to the 基準 be 率直に published as source code. The second license also needs to 供給する 適する 柔軟性 for enabling OpenOffice.org 科学（工学）技術 to be used within 商業の 製品s without 妥協 of the 商業の vendors’ other licenses used in such 製品s. The Sun 産業 基準 Source License (SISSL) 満足させるs these 必要物／必要条件s. The SISSL specification of a 基準 (展示（する） B) to which 同意／服従 is 要求するd 供給するs the 条項 to which licensees must 保持する 同意／服従 for their use of 科学（工学）技術 in 分配するd 製品s. If a licensee makes 相いれない modifications, the license 明示するs that a 言及／関連 実施 of the modifications must be published 支援する to Sun Microsystems under the 初めの SISSL 条件 and 条件s.

二重の Licensing and 基準s Compatibility
All source code of the OpenOffice.org 事業／計画（する） is 二重の licensed using the GNU GPL
licenses1 and the OpenOffice.org SISSL. 展示（する） B of the OpenOffice.org SISSL will
明示する that the GNU GPL or LGPL source code, with the same 見解／翻訳／版 number, is
the 言及／関連 基準 for that 明確な／細部 SISSL-licensed source code 見解／翻訳／版.
This circular 機械装置 確実にするs that SISSL licensees are 要求するd to 持続する
compatibility with the GPL community 見解／翻訳／版s of the same source code APIs and

実施s under the 二重の license (GPL/LGPL + SISSL) so that all
communities have 接近 to such modifications.
The SISSL License will be 問題／発行するd by Sun Microsystems, Inc., to SISSL licensees 経由で a
click-thru license hosted at the OpenOffice.org source code repository. This license is

The specification for each 基準 見解／翻訳／版 as used by the licensing 機械装置 will
be 明示するd and published by the OpenOffice.org 事業／計画（する） under the governance of
the OpenOffice.org Steering 委員会.
In 合同 with the 二重の-license 計画／陰謀, Sun Microsystems will 供給する a compatibility 実験（する）ing service to OpenOffice.org licensees for a 料金. This service will be 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d on a per-壇・綱領・公約, per-見解／翻訳／版 basis. Upon 達成するing compatibility certification for the 明確な／細部 製品, the licensee will be 権限を与えるd to use the StarOffice brand on the 見解／翻訳／版 of their 製品 for that 特に 実験（する）d 壇・綱領・公約 見解／翻訳／版.

製品s 利益s them by 配達するing the market 承認 already 設立するd by
the 示す and てこ入れ／借入資本ing 拡大するing market 承認 of the 示す developed by
Sun Microsystems and other StarOffice 示す vendors.
Additionally, the StarOffice 示す 伝えるs a 署名 of compatibility and
信用／信任 to 使用者s. This 配達するs a 重要な value to the vendor, their 製品,
and the 使用者.
