H.Z. joined OpenOffice.org a scant six months ago. But in these six months he has 与える/捧げるd 意味ありげに to OpenOffice.org and has created a mirror 場所/位置 that 申し込む/申し出s multilingual builds (Chinese-TW and Chinese-CN) of OpenOffice.org code. Members are encouraged to visit his 場所/位置, http://office.qkaka.com/. The に引き続いて is a 簡潔な/要約する interview, 行為/行うd 経由で email. I asked H.Z. to tell us something about himself and his 事業/計画(する), and he generously acquiesced.
I have been on mailing 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) for six months; I am also Linux 星/主役にする Office 使用者 for years. My 利益/興味 in OpenOffice.org now is that it 供給するs a structure that brings 広大な/多数の/重要な good news to 非,不,無-English speaking 使用者s, 関わりなく their operating system.
I live in 中国, in pretty rich area, but you know, people still can't afford a copy of MS Office, and the 地元の Linux developers have a bad market: There are too few 使用/適用s for the end-使用者. I think OpenOffice.org and Sun.com maybe could help lots on this. その上に, I hope this could be of 利益/興味 to other 地元の programmers, who will join with me in 開発, since so few people work on open-source 事業/計画(する)s here.
Externally, I spend most of my time on the Chinese-CN build, with the 目的(とする) of 熟考する/考慮するing it. My hope is that 使用者s from other countries and from other languages and 壇・綱領・公約s could help to make suggestions, such as which l10n translations we should work on and (軍隊を)展開する,配備する. I have a small server online, on which I have 始める,決める up a 事実上の host for that page.
Since 22 May 2001 there have been 120 downloads of the OpenOffice.org 627 Win32 build to 中国, mostly to Hong Kong. Because the Hong Kong 政府 has made it a 使節団 to 施行する the 法律 and punish ソフトウェア piracy, lots of 使用者s in Hong Kong have begun to look for a 交替/補充 to MS Office. I am sure that the Chinese-TW 見解/翻訳/版 will help to let more people know and use OpenOffice.org instead of MS Office.
Finally, I hope I could 説得する PC 製造(する)s bundle this office 控訴 in the 未来. 同様に, I hope my work will give some needed 援助 to the 地元の Linux developer teams and distributors. I can help them with support and 開発, but we have a hard long road to walk.
