報告（する）／憶測 on Indic 計算するing 調整 会合 18th-19th September, 2004
Mumbai, India. Linux support for Indian languages continues to grow: We see a 安定した 増加する in the localization 事業／計画（する）s in India. There has also been a 法外な rise in the number of Open Source 使用／適用s 利用できる in さまざまな Indian languages. OpenOffice.org (OO.o) is 'the' app 存在 translated by almost every language group. 公式に OO.o now supports five Indian languages, with work on others 近づくing 完成. A 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of languages supported by OO.o is easily 利用できる.
IndLinux, the mother 事業／計画（する） of all Indic Localization 成果／努力s, have 定期的に held workshops throughout the country to brainstorm 確かな 問題／発行するs, come up with new ideas and 論証する Indic 計算するing to the general public. Karunakar G., the 高度に 尊敬（する）・点d Indic developer, has been 調整するing these 成果／努力s since 早期に 2000. Seeing the enthusiasm of the さまざまな groups, IndLinux decided to get 代表者／国会議員s from all language groups together in Mumbai to interact, discuss さまざまな 問題／発行するs and 株 experiences with each other, 同様に as with 代表者／国会議員s from the 省 of （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） and 科学（工学）技術. The 会合 協議事項 and the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of 関係者s can be 設立する here.
The informal discussions over dinner on the 17th 始める，決める the pace for the two-day 会合，会う, the 最高潮の場面 of which was the presence of The 省 of IT and the 広範囲にわたる discussion on Unicode. Another 加える point of the 会合，会う was that some 約束s were made, にもかかわらず the fact that the 訴訟／進行s of the 会合，会う were 存在 記録，記録的な／記録するd.
Day 1 of the 会合，会う saw all the language teams give their 贈呈s. Dr. Om Vikas, 上級の Director, TDIL (科学（工学）技術 開発 for Indian Languages), also made a 示す as this was the first time that a 代表者／国会議員 from the 省 was 現在の in an Indic 会合，会う. He 発言／述べるd that TDIL will soon be publishing some of their fonts under proper licenses. The other 最高潮の場面 of the day was the demonstrations by Dr. Hema from the IIT-マドラス team, which has worked on 限られた／立憲的な speech and handwriting 承認 engine, and used TamilNet99, not Unicode.
After lunch, we had the first technical 開会／開廷／会期 of the day with discussions on the 地元の 鮮明度／定義, collation, text （判決などを）下すing 問題／発行するs/bugs, input methods and fonts. The discussion soon drifted to Unicode. The biggest 問題／発行する with Unicode seems to be with getting changes done, with Unicode's 政策 of "Only 直す／買収する，八百長をする, when it's broken". Mahesh Pai, 調整者／コーディネーター, Malayalam group, 示唆するd that Unicode has to be 扱うd carefully, now even more so, because of the 最近の heated emails at unicode which put the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） on moderation. The heated mails were a result of Unicode's 不本意 to 追加する new characters for the Bangla language.
Mahesh, who was most 声の while discussing Unicode, 公表する／暴露するd that Unicode is 提案するing an update to it's 存在するing 基準 4.01 and are willing to 追加する new characters to the 基準s for any language. Mahesh said that this is the time to make requests for new characters but 警告を与えるd that continued 成果／努力s 支援するd by proof (old text, 調書をとる／予約する) alone can get any changes into the Unicode.
The day also saw some discussion on usability, with Sankarshan, Red Hat, talking about the 面 of learnability, 同様に.
Day 2 began with Dr. Nagarjuna, FSF-India, commenting on the left-over topics from the previous day.
Aspell/Ispell （一定の）期間 checkers were discussed with groups 株ing their experiences on their 各々の choices. Word 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）s for dictionaries and the need for collation were also discussed. A 統一するd database for po translation was also discussed, along with ideas for having an 自動化するd 翻訳家.
After lunch, the need for 効果的な documentation was discussed. Venky, himself a 新聞記者／雑誌記者 for 10 years before moving to Red Hat, commented on how it was time Indic 計算するing needed to make the 権利 noises in the 圧力（をかける）. This was followed by an open discussion to 準備する a TODO 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）.
