Getting Paid

How much?

With 契約s come questions about money. That's good, because we're all in this for the money to some degree.

Remember that my authors are 十分な-time professionals - they don't just 令状 調書をとる／予約するs for a living. That means the content is better, since it's written by people who 現実に use the 製品 for a living, not just learn it for three months and then discard it to learn something else. This means that it takes them longer to 令状 a 調書をとる／予約する since they have a 'real 職業' (that 職業 might be in the 雇う of another company, or it might be as an 独立した・無所属 顧問). It also means that they have a source of 正規の／正選手 income (although some 顧問s are smirking as they read this!)

Typically, HWP doesn't 支払う／賃金 前進するs, both because the author doesn't need the money like a professional author would, and because HWP is still in the 'startup' 段階 and just don't have the money to lay out 前進するs for six months or more like the big publishers. However, ーするために 補償する for that, our 王族 百分率s are 意味ありげに higher than any other publishing company I know of.

Once the 調書をとる／予約する is printed and 利用できる for sale, we sell direct, through distributors and through online places like アマゾン. As soon as the 調書をとる／予約する starts selling, 王族s accrue, and I 支払う／賃金 王族s 月毎の for the sales of the previous month. In other words, 王族s for sales in January are paid by the end of March. 

As you’ve seen, we've tended not to sell through bookstores in the past, because of the 非常に／多数の problems I 輪郭（を描く）d in other sections. You may be 関心d that this means that total 王族s would be lower because of lower sales. 現実に, that's not really been the 事例／患者, and you can pull out your old 経済的なs text 権利 now if you’d like to follow along.

Why? 井戸／弁護士席, we sell direct as much as possible, so that we keep as much of the $50 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） price as we can, instead of giving 50% or more to a middleman. As a result, an author sees more dollars on those sales, because the sale price is higher.

明確な／細部s? With the exception of one 専攻するd 肩書を与える, every one of our 調書をとる／予約するs that has been out for at least 18 months has earned 王族s for the authors that are better than 産業 普通の／平均（する） for a 調書をとる／予約する. Yes, that’s 権利, to date every one of our authors has done better than the 産業 普通の／平均（する）. And that's a fact that I'm very proud of, 特に considering we're just a small outfit selling 調書をとる／予約するs through the 21st century 同等（の） of the 支援する of a 幻覚的な Volkswagen Microbus at a 感謝する Dead show.

You may still be wondering how many 調書をとる／予約するs we sell; that number 変化させるs によれば the 肩書を与える, and 明確な／細部 numbers are not public knowledge. As we discuss your 調書をとる／予約する, 可能性のある sales will be one of the topics we'll cover.

Tech editors get paid a 直す／買収する，八百長をするd 量 per printed page, and then get an 付加 量 for every thousand 調書をとる／予約するs sold. The tech editor, thus, has a 財政上の 利益／興味 in the success of the 調書をとる／予約する 同様に.

When?

Short answer: You get paid between 30 and 60 days of when we do. When we get paid 変化させるs （許可，名誉などを）与えるing to where the sale was made.

Sales made on our website are paid by the end of the second month after the sale was made. For example... a sale on January 4th or January 28th shows up in the 王族 支払い（額） you get by the end of March. (We wait 30 days to make sure the reader isn't going to return the 調書をとる／予約する.)

If a 調書をとる／予約する of ours is sold somewhere else, though, we don't see that money for a while. For example, suppose a 調書をとる／予約する goes on sale on February 1st on our website. We also ship oodles of copies to our distributor on the same day. 予定 to all the middlemen 伴う／関わるd, that 調書をとる／予約する won't 現実に 攻撃する，衝突する the 蓄える／店s for 4 to 6 weeks, which puts the 早期に sales in March. (That's why a 調書をとる／予約する 利用できる on our website isn't 利用できる at アマゾン for a while.)

The bookstore doesn't 支払う／賃金 our distributor for those 早期に March sales for 90 to 120 days, so they don't see a check until June. We'll get paid in July for the 領収書s they saw in June, and you see your 削減（する） of those 領収書s in August. So even though we shipped on Feburary 1st, you get paid a lot later. Blech.

Makes those direct sales from our website really attractive, eh? ーするために 中和する／阻止する that lag in cash flow, we 支払う／賃金 each month ーするために get money flowing to you 定期的に, instead of making you wait 年４回の or 半分-毎年 like, ahem, many other publishers.

Authors and Editors are emailed a 月毎の 声明 that 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）s 量s and dollars for every 事業／計画（する） they've worked on for Hentzenwerke Publishing. Authors and editors who reside in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs receive their 基金s electronically to the bank account they 指定する while authors and editors who reside outside the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs receive a good old-fashioned check in the mail unless they can make 手はず／準備 with a U.S. bank.

基金s are transferred electronically at the same time that the 声明s are emailed (it takes between 2 and 4 bus days for the 基金s to be 利用できる in your account, depending on the bank.)
