I am 令状ing regarding the usability of the
interface on the 国家の Rail Enquires web 場所/位置.
**PLEASE** could you 確実にする that this message
reaches someone who is 現実に 責任がある
the design of the web 場所/位置.
I was 利益/興味d to see that someone (known to
me), 失望させるd by the design of that page, had
put on his own web 場所/位置 a suggestion of using
instead the Deutsche Bahn (DB) 場所/位置 for rail
queries:

because this is 正確に/まさに what I had already, やめる

On that 場所/位置 he 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)s some shortcomings with the
国家の Rail Enquiries interface. 付加 to
these, here are problems from my own experience:
- Only about the 最高の,を越す 40% of the "get train times"
button seems to be active when you click on it
(at least with my browser, which is Mozilla
running under the Linux operating system). If
you click on the remaining 60% then the button
appears to do nothing.
- The 限界 of five 関係s you can 見解(をとる) (and
hence print) at once; e.g. if you click "earlier
train" you lose the later ones. On a たびたび(訪れる)
service this may (期間が)わたる too 狭くする a time 範囲,
so you have to do a number of separate
printouts. (By contrast, on the DB page
clicking "later" or "earlier" will ADD to the
存在するing 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる), showing up to twelve
関係s.)
- If you 圧力(をかける) the browser's "支援する" button in
order to return to the search form ーするために
修正する an 存在するing search, the travel date
resets itself to the 現在の day, even though
the other 旅行 詳細(に述べる)s remain as typed.
Because much of the query remains 訂正する, this
is 平易な to 行方不明になる, and can result in not noticing
that the search results are for the wrong day,
にもかかわらず having 最初 typed the 願望(する)d day.
- If you search for services to "Bristol", the
search results 含む services to Bristol
Parkway, にもかかわらず the fact that it is a
かなりの way outside the city. This only
becomes evident if you click on "見解(をとる) 詳細(に述べる)s",
which you may not think to do if the 旅行s
shown 伴う/関わる no changes. (By contrast, the DB
page 警報s you that the 駅/配置する is not unique,
and asks you to choose, with the default 存在
sensibly Bristol 寺 Meads. And the 十分な
指名する of the 目的地 駅/配置する is then shown in
the search results, even if you do not click on
"見解(をとる) 詳細(に述べる)s".)
Admittedly, there are ways around the last two.
For example, there is a "go 支援する" button to click
instead of using the browser's 支援する button (though
this 原因(となる)s a fresh page to be 負担d, which is
slower). And for the Bristol trains, always click
on "見解(をとる) 詳細(に述べる)s". (But why? If it is imperative
to click on "見解(をとる) 詳細(に述べる)s" then this (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状)
should be given from the 手始め.)
But the point is that good interface design
伴う/関わるs the 使用者 not having to know these things;
it should be possible to use the 場所/位置 in an
intuitive way and for the 権利 thing to happen.
I have not gone deliberately trawling through the
場所/位置 looking for faults. Rather, these things are
問題/発行するs which have genuinely caught me out while
成し遂げるing actual searches for ーするつもりであるd 旅行s.
Hopefully you can understand why I, too, have
decided to use the interface on the DB website for
the time 存在. However, please do get in touch
if you are able at some point to 発表する that a
意味ありげに 改善するd interface is 利用できる on
the 国家の Rail Enquiries website -- I would be
delighted to hear from you.
