In May 2005, I had かなりの fun getting to 支配するs with two 装置s from the Czech 会社／堅い 金物類／武器類 Group, aka HW-Group, or HWgroup. (Sorry- just trying to be sure Google 使用者s find this! If you search for HW-Group, be sure to put it in 引用するs, because さもなければ you will get all pages with HW or Group, and they won't have to be next to one another, or both 現在の.)
This 公式文書，認める will not tell you everything there is to know about the HWgroup 製品 line, and how to use it, but perhaps you'll find it helps you get started.
To me, one of the attractions of the 製品 line is that there are 多重の 装置s 株ing some ありふれた elements. If you master operating, say, the I/O 監査役, you've made a good start on using the PortBox (事実上の COM port... connected to the PC over the LAN. (By the way: the I/O 監査役 会社にする／組み込むs one of these 同様に as the 数字表示式の inputs and 生産（高）s.)), the Poseidon (気温 sensing, 加える 3 inputs), the PortStore (2 gig of on-LAN flash memory), Charon (low cost embedded ethernet module... and, if I don't 行方不明になる my guess, this company will be 追加するing new 製品s in 予定 course.
So! How do we get started with HWgroup 装置s?
Please don't think that what I'm setting out is the 限界s of the 装置's 能力s. There are other 大勝するs to get to where I'm going to take you. This is the one that worked for me....
環境:
I did what follows on an old PC running Windows 98 SE. I was using a D-Link DI-704 with nothing 大（公）使館員d to it's WAN input.
For some 推論する／理由 I have not 診断するd, neither the HWgroup 装置s, nor something 類似の from another source would work... fully... (they worked enough to be 混乱させるing!) until I made the PC's IP 演説（する）／住所 192.168.0.150, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and the 装置s' IP 演説（する）／住所s...

On both the I/O 監査役 (which I'll call the IOC 今後) and the Poseidon, there are DIP switches. In both 事例／患者s, for what follows, you want them all off. If using 1-Wire sensors on the Poseidon, they stay off. They stay off (when used as below) on the IOC.
On the CD that （機の）カム with your 装置, or from the HWgroup website, copy HerculesSetup.exe to your hard 運動. I'm delighted to tell you that that is not an installer type program. When you run it, it just runs, does it's 職業. It doesn't 開始する，打ち上げる into a コンビナート／複合体 sequence of Doing Things to the contents of your レコード, registry, desktop, startup menu, etc, etc. If only more vendors were as 抑制するd. (HerculesSetup seems to be an 高めるd 見解／翻訳／版 of the "TeraTerm" menitioned in the I/O 監査役's 手動式の.)
力／強力にする up your 装置. Connect it to the LAN. If possible, for now, arrange for it to be the only 装置 on the LAN. At least to begin with, I work with static IP 演説（する）／住所s throughout, to keep things simple. Be sure you don't have a firewall 原因（となる）ing problems.
By the way: I was also delighted to find that the two 装置s I've seen come COMPLETE with all the cables you might need, and a 力／強力にする 供給（する） that can 受託する US or European voltages. There was also a CD with ソフトウェア and documentation.
Run HerculesSetup. Click 承認する to make the license info go away. The first tab, "UDP 体制／機構" is about all you need for now. Click on Find 装置s, and the MAC for any 部隊s you've connected should appear. No MACs? Check 始める，決める up of 器具／備品, cables, 力／強力にする 供給（する）s, firewalls... etc. The MAC of every HWgroup 装置 is written on the 事例／患者 for you at the factory.
Don't click on "適用する Changes" until you are told to below.
Click on the MAC of the 装置 you want to を取り引きする. What's in it at the moment will appear in the さまざまな edit boxes showing on the form. Under "要求するd Parameters", I 始める，決める things up as follows....
* Module IP (That may be mis-spelt, if you have the 見解／翻訳／版 of Hercules 体制／機構 that I was using). I 設立する I had trouble with my HWgroup 部隊s AND something 類似の from another source until I used the に引き続いて 演説（する）／住所s: 192.168.0.25, 192.168.0.25, and 192.168.0.27. My PCs NIC was on 192.168.0.150.
* I made the port 80.
* I used 255.255.0.0 for the Module IP mask. (Yes: TWO 0s. The more usual 255.255.255.0 may work, too, but I spent hours getting the thing working.. 予定 to gaps in my knowledge, not the 器具／備品, and I'm not messing with something that is working!!)
* For now, before you try to 接近 the 部隊 across the internet, the gateway, 許容できる 演説（する）／住所 範囲 IP and 許容できる 演説（する）／住所 範囲 mask can all be 0.0.0.0.
* Leave TCP TEA authentication unticked for now. TEA is all about a clever 交流-of-重要なs 使用者 validation 議定書. Good stuff, but not needed to get things started.
* Beware "Enable NVT"... you MAY need it for some things... I think not, for now, though. NVT stands for "網状組織 事実上の 終点".
* With the Poseidon, be sure to click "Enable TCP 体制／機構"
.... and once all that's 権利 click 適用する Changes, and wait at least 5 seconds for everything to go through. (If you click it too soon, you may find the button is not enabled for "changing the changes." If you get into that corner, just 出口 HerculesSetup and start again.)
You should now be able to "play" with your 装置s. For Poseidon, just point an internet browser at it, in other words, where you would 普通は enter www.google.com, enter http://192.168.0.26, if you 始める，決める your Poseidon's IP 演説（する）／住所 to 192.168.0.26. 公式文書，認める the http://, which I think you need to type. Don't 推定する／予想する 気温 sensor 報告（する）／憶測s yet. See my 公式文書，認めるs on the Poseidon for how to get them running.
Your browser settings may need some tweaking, 特に in the "関係s", "LAN Settings" section.
If your browser is 辞退するing to be nice, you can use ping to see if the HWgroup 装置 is at least 明白な on the LAN.
For an I/O 監査役, start up the Charon program (not to be 混乱させるd with the Charon 金物類／武器類). The interface is a little 混乱させるd, but you can use the program! "Read LED", for instance, is how you read the inputs. The splendid little 実験（する） board with 8 LEDs and 8 DIPs is all that you need to see that your PC and the IOC are "talking" nicely.
