The discussion group at Dalsemi. has looked at all sorts of things at one time or another.... and many of those discussions go into things beyond the 狭くする利益／興味s of those using 1-Wire (aka MicroLan) 半導体素子s. A 広大な／多数の／重要な little 非，不，無 1-Wire 湿度 / 気温装置 is 利用できる for Sensirion. It only costs about $15, and they might even send you a 解放する／自由な見本 if you ask nicely, and are in a position to be able to interface it to something. You connect 力／強力にする and ground wires, of course, 加える only two more! One is an input to the 装置: a clock to 支配（する）／統制する data 移転. The other is bidirectional, 存在 used for serial data to and from the 装置 to send in questions and send out answers. The fact that this 装置 is the size of a couple of 穀物s of rice just makes it that much cooler, don't you think? The 使用者 only sees 数字表示式の data... all of the ADC work is done in the 装置. The sensor's part number comes from "Sensor, 湿度 and 気温", but perhaps SHT11 is still unfortunate!

日光 and cloudcover: Let's 直面する it- the main question anyone wants answered by the 天気予報官 is "Will it be a nice sunny day?" And yet, quantifying "sunny" is not as 平易な as you might think.

A simple light detector will give you some （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）... but beware: not all 答える／応じる to light as the human 注目する，もくろむ does. A sensor which is 罰金 for （悪事，秘密などを）発見するing a light beam, as in a break-the-beam 夜盗，押し込み強盗 detector may not "see" colors we notice. Another may be more 極度の慎重さを要する to 紫外 light than we are, and consider a cloudy day as 有望な as a sunny day, because lots of UV gets through clouds, even though we don't see it.

A simple light 独房 might 報告（する）／憶測 the に引き続いて as 同一の条件s: Dusk on a （疑いを）晴らす evening, noon when there's 重要な cloud cover. And how do you get a sensor to tell you the difference between a summer sky with a mixture of white and blue, and a boring winter day with no blue, just a thin grey 同等（の） to the 普通の／平均（する） of the summer day's sky?

Getting the 権利解答 for your needs will 伴う／関わる careful thought about those needs. Someone who is making a 監査役 for electricity 生成するing solar パネル盤s will probably want to "read" the sky 異なって from someone 捜し出すing to 支配（する）／統制する the hvac in a 温室.

There was an 利益／興味ing article about sensing 雷 in the November 2004 問題／発行する of the British magazine Everyday With Practical Electronics ("EPE"). Instead of 監視するing for strikes, the 回路・連盟 looked at the 可能性のある difference between the ground (as in terra firma) and a point above the ground. The article 述べるd a nice 部隊 you could build which 陳列する，発揮するd an 指示，表示する物 of the voltage, and lit LEDs at さまざまな levels. The LEDs were supposed to advise you of the 現在の見込み of a strike. All 井戸／弁護士席 and good. What I 設立する more 利益／興味ing was the antenna and simple first part of the 回路・連盟 which （悪事，秘密などを）発見するd the voltage. That produced an 生産（高） in a 範囲 of about 1.5 v - 近づく 5v.... which could easily be passed on to a data logger, or to a 1-Wire 半導体素子 for 統合，差別撤廃 with a bigger 1-Wire system. (See my page about 1-Wire 金物類／武器類 for more 詳細（に述べる）s.) The EPE antenna was made as follows:

Start with a piece of 質保護物，者d cable, and start from where you want the electronics to live. Lead the cable outdoors, bury several メーターs of the cable in the ground. This was recommended as a safety 手段. PLEASE NOTE: STICKING WIRES IN THE AIR WHERE THERE MAY BE LIGHTNING WILL ALWAYS BE DANGEROUS. YOU, not me, not EPE, must TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for what YOU do. If you build anything as a result of this 文書, it is UP TO YOU to 査定する／（税金などを）課す and manage the 危険s 伴う／関わるd.

Sorry... where was I? Oh yes... the cable... after the buried section, you run the cable up a mast. I would guess that about 2 メーターs would 十分である. It must not be too 近づく trees, etc.

To the end of the unshielded 10cm, attach, say, 7 stiff wires, each about 7cm long. Fan them out in a 反対／詐欺形態／調整. Sharpening the tips may help.

That's the antenna! I 疑問 that the 測定s are 批判的な. You have, essentially, 始める，決める up a very efficient 雷棒. Before now, I have made one out of an old rake, which I 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う would be as 効果的な! (You'd still need the 審査するd cable. The rake just 取って代わるs the fan of wires.)

Two 批判的な bits:
While the fan of sharpened wires needs to be out in the 天候, the length of unshielded wire should be OUT of the 天候. A length of PVC 麻薬を吸う would be just the thing. The fan of wires must connect (electrically) to the inner conductor in the 保護物，者d cable. They should be 絶縁するd from everything else. This will be hard to 達成する fully when it rains. Just THINK when you are 開始するing the mast, and do what you can to 減ずる paths along which voltage can "漏れる" between the fan of wires and terra firma. A drip collar or two on the PVC 麻薬を吸う might help, or might be more than is necessary. Consider the design of insulators you have seen for 電気の伝達／伝染 lines.

The other 批判的な bit is as follows: The 審査する of the 審査するd cable needs a good 関係 to terra firma. Again, we are in 雷 conductor 領土. The usual way is to 運動 a metal 棒深い into the ground. (The drier your 地元の, the deeper it needs to be.) The outer insulation on the 審査するd cable would then be carefully peeled away, to expose the 審査する, and that 堅固に大（公）使館員d to the 棒 in the ground. (Such 棒s are 利用できる from good 金物類／武器類蓄える／店s. You are NOT using it やめる like it would be used in the 事例／患者 of a 雷棒. In that 事例／患者, your fan of wires would be connected to the 棒. You don't want to do that.)

With that antenna, or 類似の, and again: I 申し込む／申し出 thanks and credit to EPE, from which the ideas come, you should see a small 可能性のある difference (voltage) between the 審査する and the conductor in the 中心. The author of the article 監視するd that voltage, and USUALLY saw a 関係 between what it was doing, and 雷 activity in the area. In the article, he 現在のs some graphs I 設立する利益／興味ing of patterns he's noticed.

I said the voltage was small a moment ago. It is やめる easily 上げるd to a "sensible" 範囲 using an op amp. The article's 回路・連盟 used one gate from a TL074CN quad jfet... but I 堅固に嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う that 事実上 any would do. A couple of variable resistors and a 直す／買収する，八百長をするd resistor 完全にする the 回路・連盟.
