This page is "browser friendly". Make your browser window as wide as you want it. The text will flow nicely for you. It is easier to read in a 狭くする window. With most browsers, 圧力（をかける）ing 加える, minus or 無 while the 支配（する）／統制する 重要な (ctrl) is held 負かす／撃墜する will change the texts size. (大きくする, 減ずる, 回復する to default, それぞれ.) In this tutorial, we will 始める，決める up a database for keeping a personal 演説（する）／住所 調書をとる／予約する, 含むing telephone numbers. I will sketch a very, very, basic one, with just two frills. The obvious 拡張s are not 行方不明の because they can't be done, but just to keep the example concise.
This tutorial is 目的（とする）d at novices. As such, not all of your 選択s will be について言及するd. If you have some LO or OO Base experience, you may know of other ways of doing things, which may be perfectly 許容できる 代案／選択肢s to the ways 示唆するd here.
In さまざまな forms, this tutorial has been on the web since February 2006. At some point, with ooBase 3.0, I went through the 指示／教授／教育s from scratch, using a machine with Windows XP. They were tidied up, but everything 基本的に "worked". That 過程 was repeated again in September 2011 with ooBase 3.3.0, again using Windows XP (SP3). So things really should work!
I will try to 避ける distracting frills. The first I can't resist is that the 使用者 will be able to 旗 some 記録，記録的な／記録するs(ShrtDef) as people to whom a Christmas card should be sent, while other people in the 演説（する）／住所 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） will be Christmas- card- いっそう少なく.
The second frill: The 使用者 will be able to 旗 some phone numbers as ones which are called frequently.
ID: A unique 記録，記録的な／記録する identifier. It will be a number.
LastName: E.g. "Smith"
RestOfName: E.g. "Mr. Joseph E."
Addr1: First line of 演説（する）／住所, E.g. "Apt 57", or "123 Main St"
Addr2: Second line of 演説（する）／住所. E.g. "772 River Rd". For some 記録，記録的な／記録するs, it will be blank.
City: E.g. "Detroit"
明言する／公表する: E.g. "MI"
Phone number: E.g. 1-860-555-1212
Phone 階級: This will be a number from 1 to 10. It will the 使用者's best guess about how often he/ she is likely to need the phone number.
Cmas Card: Blank for "No Christmas card". Anything else says "Yes, this person gets a card."
Some "tricks" are possible in your use of the last field. If you 手配中の，お尋ね者 to put 2003 in it to say you've sent this person Christmas cards since 2003, you could. If you 手配中の，お尋ね者 to put R2005 in it to say you received a card from these people in 2005, you could. Etc! As far as the database I will build is 関心d, though, the 支配する is simple: If this field is empty, don't 準備する a Christmas card mailing label for this person, さもなければ, do.
Start Base. Typically, the Database Wizard will 開始する，打ち上げる itself. If it doesn't use とじ込み／提出する | New | Database.
Choose to create a new database, using an embedded database, preferably Firebird.
Make these choices...
Before I say more about what to do next, I want to talk about this "登録（する）" 商売／仕事.
First: It is NOT 登録（する）ing your database with anyone or anything outside of your computer. It is not giving the Libre Office people 接近 to your work.
What it IS doing is making an 入ること／参加（者） in the registry-like data structure which Libre Office 持続するs. That data structure is GOOD in that different parts of Libre Office (Writer, Spreadsheet, Base, etc) are more "aware" of things done by other parts of Libre Office. It is BAD (?) in that it means you have to be a little careful about where you 蓄える／店 things. You have to be careful and skillful, いつかs, if you want to 改名する or move them. Don't let me 脅す you! A simple Writer 文書 is a standalone （独立の）存在, and you can move, 改名する, etc, its とじ込み／提出する as you see fit. This is not as true for the とじ込み／提出するs associated with Base work, but the problems won't 影響する／感情 you until you are doing more 前進するd things. Don't worry about them. (類似の problems may arise if you do 前進するd things with ooWriter, ooCalc, etc とじ込み／提出するs, and are cavalier about 改名するing or moving them. Still: don't worry!)
For the moment, create Base とじ込み／提出するs with good 指名するs, in the 権利 places... i.e. Chose path and 指名する with care, so that you won't have to move or 改名する them. They can be moved without too many 涙／ほころびs, but let's try to 避ける creating any need to move things, for now.
権利. That's "登録（する）". You should still be on the "Decide how to proceed" page. Click the "Finish" button.
You will get a "Save As" dialog. (If you don't know it already, you should be delighted to learn that you can create new folders and move around the とじ込み／提出する structure of your 支援 蓄える／店 from within the Save As dialog. Careful use of folders is one 中心存在 of support for the sanity of computer 使用者s.)
For my work with Base, I long ago 始める，決める up a folder called FDB ("解放する／自由な Data Base") in my "My 文書s" folder. While you are getting started, it will probably 支払う／賃金 you to create a folder within that for each 事業／計画（する）, although this extra level of nesting isn't really unnecessary. The 事業／計画（する） I'm building as I 令状 this is 存在 created in a folder called FDB004. We will also call the database we are creating "FDB004". (Yes: Database called FDB004, within a folder of the same 指名する.)
Work with the Save As dialog to create the folders. Fill in the "とじ込み／提出する 指名する" edit box with FDB004, and click the "Save" button.
The （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Wizard should 開始する，打ち上げる.
(If you don't get the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Wizard すぐに, you didn't tick the box I told you to... naughty you. Just click "（米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs" in the left column of the 審査する you did get, then "Use Wizard to Create （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する" in the upper 権利 パネル盤 to get 支援する の上に the page the 残り／休憩（する） of us are on.)
Select the 部類 "Personal", and then (from the pull 負かす／撃墜する 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）) the 見本 （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する called "演説（する）／住所s". Don't be alarmed if what we do for the next few paragraphs seems wrong... we're going to start by 単に roughing something out, and then clean it up.
Scroll 負かす／撃墜する the 利用できる fields to "LastName", 二塁打-click on it, and you should see "LastName" (Or "Surname", if your Libre Office speaks English, not Amurican). When you've done that, LastName (or "Surname"... I won't say that again) should appear in the 権利 手渡す stringlist, which was empty until now.
Using the same 手続き, 追加する the に引き続いて, in the order shown. If your 見解／翻訳／版 of Libre Office doesn't have 正確に／まさに the fields shown, just 代用品，人 something else which seems likely to be for 持つ／拘留するing a bit of text.
A few comments about field 指名するs....
These are the fields to 追加する to LastName (Surname)... Remember: Do it this way... not in something that may (at the moment!) seem to make more sense, or be "how you want it".
FirstName (Forename) 演説（する）／住所 愛称 City (PostTown) StateOrProvince (CountyOrRegion) PhoneNumber 肩書を与える ChildrenNames
If you 行方不明になる one out, you can put it in now... and then use the "^" and "v" at the 権利-手渡す 辛勝する／優位 of the dialog to move things around until you have the order I've 明示するd.
Click "Next" (NOT Finish... yet... even though it is 利用できる!)
You should now be on Step 2 of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Wizard. Don't try to edit anything here at this 行う／開催する／段階... you should be able to... but long ago, with earlier 見解／翻訳／版s of ooBase, I had some trouble with the database 創造 過程 if I did. You can easily change things in a moment. Click the "Next" button....
... which will bring you to Step 3, "始める，決める 最初の／主要な 重要な". The "Create a 最初の／主要な 重要な" and "Automatically 追加する.." box and 無線で通信する button are probably already ticked, which is what you want. Also tick the "自動車 value" box. Click the "Next" button.
Step 4: Change the 指名する of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する to NameAddrPhone (The default "演説（する）／住所s" would do, but I like my 指名する better.) Make the 無線で通信する button 選択 "修正する the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する design." In a moment, you will click the "Finish" button. (The "Next" button is grayed out, anyway, at this point.)
But first... and this has tripped many readers... be sure to click on the "修正する The （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Design" 無線で通信する button. Once you've done that, click the "Finish" button.
You should see....
If you did get that... 井戸／弁護士席 done! We'll say what to do with it in a moment.

That would happen if you didn't see the 指示／教授／教育 to select "修正する The （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Design". No problem. You are looking at the main LO or OO Base 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window.. something important we will come 支援する to often. To get to where you せねばならない be...
One way or another, you should now be seeing a string grid with familiar （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） in it. The first line will be a field called ID. This field is your 最初の／主要な 重要な. We'll talk more about 重要なs another time, but for now, a 警告: Don't try to make changes to this one! With an older 見解／翻訳／版 of ooBase, I tried to 改名する it "RecID", and 難破させるd the 自動車-increment 機能（する）／行事. Almost certainly it is possible to call the field "RecID", but let's save that 戦う／戦い for later, shall we? "ID" will do! ("RecID" may be a reserved 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語.)
Change some of the field 指名するs. Don't worry about the "new" one, "ID" that has appeared at the 最高の，を越す. It's the "最初の／主要な 重要な" thing you asked for. (You will hear more... lots more... about this field in 予定 course. (Every base （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する must have a 最初の／主要な 重要な.))
Whatever 見解／翻訳／版 of English you speak, make the 指名するs just like what you see below.
By the time you are finished, the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） should be as below. Notice that I've not put any spaces in any of the 指名するs. I think you have to 指名する things this way. (If you really, really "need" a space, use an 強調する: Like_This. That 作品. But its a Bad Idea in the Base 環境.)
One of the いっそう少なく obvious changes is the change of "愛称" to "Addr2".

Select the "Field Type" column on the "PhonePriority" field's line. Change the Field Type to "Small Integer[SAMLLINT]". (You do this with the 減少（する） 負かす／撃墜する 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） that you open by clicking on the field type 入ること／参加（者） for the field you want to 修正する.)
Before I go その上の... at some point you may be told "[this or that] could not be changed. Should the column instead be 削除するd and the new 判型 appended."
In the first place that is 不正に worded. (の中で other things, it should have used "field" where it used "column".) But don't worry about it. Just say "yes". To "the same" question several times, if necessary... it may take as many as ten "yes"s! Don't worry that the order of the fields will no longer be the order we started with.
Click on the "LastName" 列／漕ぐ／騒動. At the 底（に届く） of the window, you should see さまざまな things starting with "入ること／参加（者） 要求するd". The next one is length, and probably says 50 at the moment. Make that 35.
Adjust the length 所有物／資産／財産s of the others as follows. We are setting a 限界 on the length of what can be put in each of the fields. (You'll have to select each 列／漕ぐ／騒動, one after the other, to 接近 the field's length 所有物／資産／財産.)
LastName: 35 RestOfName: 35 Addr1: 40 Addr2: 40 City: 30 StateOrProvince: 10 PhonePriority: (The length can't be changed, it will be 5, which is 罰金).. PhoneNumber: 30 CmasCard: 8
(Digression- sorry... Long ago (2011?) I wrote "If you leave the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する editing window and return to it later, don't be alarmed if the order of the fields changes. 半端物... but it seems benign." I don't 解任する seeing that happen in the years that have followed. However: Do 公式文書，認める the に引き続いて: While you can 追加する or 削除する fields from the 記録，記録的な／記録する design, you can't (easily, if at all) change the order of the 記録，記録的な／記録するs in the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する. But this doesn't 事柄! You shouldn't (although many of us do!) work 直接／まっすぐに with the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, day to day. You should 見解（をとる） what is in it, 追加する/削除する 記録，記録的な／記録するs, etc, 経由で a form... and you can arrange the fields in whatever order 控訴s you, on a form. Digression ends. 支援する to work....)
Click とじ込み／提出する | の近くに. If you get it, say "Yes" to the 警告 that says "Your （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する has changed, do you want to save the changes?" The （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する design window should の近くに, and you should see the main LO or OO Base 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window...
... which probably won't look やめる like that at the moment. Click on the "Forms" icon in the left 手渡す pane, if you want your 審査する to look 正確に／まさに like the above.
The main LO or OO Base main 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window is something you will become very familiar with. It is your usual "point of 入ること／参加（者）" to any LO or OO Base work. You got wizards the first time you 開始する，打ち上げるd LO or OO Base, but once you are "up and running", you will open at the LO or OO Base main 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window. I've done a little page about the LO or OO Base main 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window, if you want to review the basics.
In the Base main 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window, in the pane labeled "Database" (left column) click on the "（米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs" icon, if that is not already selected. (Yes, you are probably just going 支援する to where you were a moment ago! I had you switch to the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs 見解（をとる） for a moment, just so you could see this "switching" thing in 活動／戦闘!)
The lower 権利 手渡す pane should be labeled "（米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs", and a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する called "NameAddrPhone" should be 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d. (If you have an extra （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, called "演説（する）／住所s", 権利 click on it, 削除する it.) 二塁打 click on the "NameAddrPhone" 入ること／参加（者）, and a window should come up with columns 長，率いるd with our field 指名するs.... かもしれない not in your 初めの order....
Doing it here, now, this way won't be as 平易な as doing it will be 結局, and it isn't the 権利 way to do it, but just to see that you can, put some data into the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する! The computer should automatically fill in the ID field with a unique number for each 記録，記録的な／記録する. If you want to 削除する a 列／漕ぐ／騒動, 権利 click on the gray area just to the left of the 列／漕ぐ／騒動's "ID" column. The 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of 選択s you get should 含む "削除する 列／漕ぐ／騒動s". Click it. ("RowS" because if you can select 多重の 列／漕ぐ／騒動s (転換-click, or ctrl-click) before 権利 clicking, so you can 削除する many 列／漕ぐ／騒動s in one 操作／手術.)
If you 削除する 列／漕ぐ／騒動s, the 以前 割り当てるd ID numbers do not get re-used. These numbers are for the program's 内部の 目的s, and you are advised to 支払う／賃金 little attention to them. They aren't even very important in our first （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, but you should know how to create an ID field, and you should 含む one in most （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs.
We've done it! Congratulations!
You have a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する 始める，決める up which will 持つ／拘留する 接触する 詳細（に述べる）s of your friends. That （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する is the 創立／基礎 for as much work as you want to 投資する in a system that will serve you. Once the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する is 権利, you can build on the 創立／基礎 by 追加するing forms, queries and 報告（する）／憶測s to the database. We will look at these in 未来 tutorials. Forms are the 権利 way to put data into a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する... and they are easily configured to make the 職業 more convenient. Other tutorials in this series show you how.
Just before finishing this tutorial, let me tell you about the "PhonePriority" field, about which I've so far said little.
My own 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of phone numbers 現在／一般に runs to nine pages. 明白に, there are many numbers in that 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） which I rarely call. By 追加するing the "PhonePriority" field, and 場内取引員／株価 numbers I call often with a "1", and numbers I rarely call with a "9", I can print two phone 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）s: One gives just the numbers I call frequently, and the second is a 完全にする 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of all the numbers in my system.
That 解答 could be 遂行するd with a field called "ShowOnShortList", which would have a "Y" (for yes) for the numbers I 手配中の，お尋ね者 on the short 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）, and nothing, or an "N" for the numbers I want left off of the short 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）. My 解答 using a field called "PhonePriority" seems more powerful, more 有能な of extra features, without any attendant extra 成果／努力 for the 使用者.
One more important point: It is not a good idea, in general, to work 直接／まっすぐに with your （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs... but you can get away with it for now. 結局 you should learn to create forms, and use forms when you want to look at or to edit the contents of a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する. When you are ready to 取り組む forms, this 始める，決める of tutorials 含むs a quick introduction to forms, and a more 包括的な discussion.
Now that you have a basic database, you can return to the main menu for my LO or OO Base tutorials, or just jump to the tutorial on printing labels, which uses the database you just created.
I dislike 'fancy' websites more 関心d with a flashy 外見 than for good content. For a pretty picture, I can go to an art gallery. Not everyone has 急速な／放蕩な broadband.
