Quick Introduction to Forms
Open Office Database Tutorials-
You may find that the database 存在 shipped with OpenOffice (ver.2 and higher) delights you as much as it has me. This page tries to help you use it.
Forget anything you may have heard about Adabas, which （機の）カム with 星／主役にする Office, the 商業の 見解／翻訳／版 of Open Office 1. The 現在の Open Office's database, "Base", aka "ooBase", is 関係のない. And remember that Open Office, 含むing ooBase, is 解放する／自由な! But don't let that fool you. And it's not new. Big organizations, 政府 and 非軍事の, are 可決する・採択するing it as their 基準 office 控訴... and saving million$, but still Getting The 職業 Done.

This page is "browser friendly". Make your browser window as wide as you want it. The text will flow nicely for you. It is easier to read in a 狭くする window. With most browsers, 圧力（をかける）ing 加える, minus or 無 while the 支配（する）／統制する 重要な (ctrl) is held 負かす／撃墜する will change the texts size. (大きくする, 減ずる, 回復する to default, それぞれ.) (This is more fully explained, and there's another tip, at my 力／強力にする Browsing page.)
In this tutorial, we will 始める，決める up a very basic form. Although you can work 直接／まっすぐに with data in （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs, it is better to use a forms.
Before you start this tutorial, 完全にする the one which shows you how to create a simple （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する. We will be working with the results of that tutorial, the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する called NameAddrPhones in the database FDB004.
Open the FDB004 database. Don't be fooled by the little 罠（にかける） that lies waiting for you.
If you 開始する，打ち上げる ooBase from a shortcut to it, as …に反対するd to by 二塁打-clicking on the 指名する of a database you have created, you are 現在のd with a dialog asking you if you wish to create a new database, or open or connect to an 存在するing database.
やめる often, you will wish to open an 存在するing database, one you have used recently
Doing this is 平易な:
Click on the "Open an 存在するing... " 無線で通信する button
Use the listbox to select the database you want... but...
....but don't click on the "open" button just below the "recently used" listbox.
What you want to do is click on the "Finish" button. That will open the database you 明示するd. The "open" button just below the "recently used" listbox, the button with an 開始 folder icon on it, is for 開始する，打ち上げるing a dialog to 明示する a database which does not 現在／一般に appear in the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） 利用できる 経由で the edit box. You have been 警告するd! (But when you take the bait, don't worry. You can still get what you want.)
You should find yourself in the 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window. This is the window with three panes: At the left, one called "Database". And on the 権利, one above the other, "仕事s", and a third, probably labeled "Forms" at the moment. If the third pane does not say "Forms" at the moment, then in the pane labeled "Database" (left column) click on "Forms", and the "Forms" pane should appear, although it will be empty at the moment. If you are not yet an old friend of this, you might want to visit my concise(!) introduction to the ooBase main 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window.
Click on "Use Wizard to Create Form".
In Step 1 of the Form Wizard, you 明示する which （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する you are working with. You should see "（米）棚上げする／（英）提議する: NameAddrPhone" selected on your 審査する, as it is the only （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する in the database. (So far!)
Click on the 権利 pointing 二塁打 arrow to move all of the 利用できる fields to the "Fields In Form" column.
Select the "ID" field. Click the left pointing 選び出す／独身 arrow to move it 支援する to the "利用できる fields", out of the "Fields In The Form" 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）. (The field "ID" is useful to ooBase internally, but isn't something we want to mess with 直接／まっすぐに. It is the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する's 最初の／主要な 重要な. 最初の／主要な 重要なs are a topic for later.)
Click Next.
In Step 2, we could 始める，決める up a sub-form, but we don't want to. Click Next. We will be "急速な／放蕩な 今後d" past steps 3 and 4, ending up at step 5.
In step 5, the default 協定 ("As Data Sheet") is good for our needs. Click Next.
In step 6, take a moment to marvel at your 選択s... you can 始める，決める up 多重の forms, each tailored to one sort of 仕事. For now, select "陳列する，発揮する all data", and do not tick any of the boxes which would 制限する data modification. Click Next.
Step 7 lets you 始める，決める a style. Any of them will do. If you move the wizard dialog to one 味方する, you can preview the styles as you select them. Click Next.
In step 8, you can give the form a 指名する. Use "SimpleDataEntry". Click finish.
You will have a simple spreadsheet-like form. You can use it to look at the data in your （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, and to edit the data. Play with the form a bit. In this simple introduction to forms, I am going to resist going off の上に the さまざまな 関係のある topics which I 調査する more fully in my other "Introduction to Forms" tutorial. You can discover many things for yourself.
The form as it stands isn't very 満足な. の近くに it. That should bring you 支援する to the 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window. 権利 click on the form "SimpleDataEntry", and select the edit choice. (If you don't get that choice, の近くに the database, の近くに the Open Office Quickstarter, and try again. Still no "Edit" 選択? 再開する Windows. The "Edit" 選択 doesn't go away very often, but that's how you get it 支援する, if you lose it.)
The form will open again, but now you can re-design it.
Try re-ordering the column headings: You just drag things to where you want them.
権利-click on the "PhonePriority" column 長，率いるing, select "Column..." Change the label (not the 指名する) to PhPri. 水平の space is at a 賞与金, unless you have a 最高の high 決意／決議 審査する. As the Phone 優先 code is only going to be a 選び出す／独身 digit the column doesn't need to be as wide as "PhonePriority" would 要求する.
If you click on the 権利 place, in the 権利 circumstances, you can get drag 扱うs for the whole （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, and resize it to 控訴 your needs. You can also change the size of the window the form is 陳列する，発揮するd in. Both size settings will be "remembered" between when you の近くに the window and 再開する it. The form is 現実に "just" an ooWriter 文書... with some fancy bits.
You can do much, much more in the design 方式... but for now, that will 十分である. の近くに the form. 再開する it in the ordinary 方式, and try entering some data.
The Data Sheet 方式 is good because you can see many 記録，記録的な／記録するs at once. In Part Two, we're going to 始める，決める up a different form, just to see what another 判型 has to 申し込む／申し出.
Part Two_______________
Get yourself 支援する to the 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人, and invoke "Use Wizard to Create Form" again. (While I would probably use "Create （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する in design 見解（をとる）", I don't think I'd like to "解雇する／砲火／射撃 the wizard" when it comes to creating forms.)
Proceed as before, but this time, when you get to step 5, select the first 選択, "Columnar- Labels Left.
Carry on as before through the 残り／休憩（する） of the wizard, but 指名する the form "One 記録，記録的な／記録する Per 見解（をとる）".
The form you have created is the electronic 同等（の） of the old card 索引, where you had a card for each person's 記録，記録的な／記録する. You can only see one 記録，記録的な／記録する at a time, but if there is a lot of （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） in each 記録，記録的な／記録する, the 制限 may be 許容できる. The layout that lets you see lots of 記録，記録的な／記録するs at once, the "data sheet" layout, いつかs 伴う／関わるs endless scrolling left and 権利 to make the part of the line we need 明白な.
Conclusion_______________
This tutorial has shown you how to create a very simple form. The main 推論する／理由 was to give you the 道具 for putting some 見本 data into the database we created, because that data will be used for several other tutorials on this 場所／位置.
This tutorial has not even scratched the surface of the things you can do with forms. Some of those you can discover by yourself, just by playing with the forms we have made. You can also read my more 包括的な "introductory" tutorial on forms.
