Neither of those ideas 直す／買収する，八百長をする things for you? We'll go 支援する to the Java RTE then.
The RTE is used for other things, any one of which you may have 任命する／導入するd already, and the RTE to go with it. Much of Open Office will work without an RTE, but not Base. Also: once you have the RTE, other parts of Open Office will do more. And you won't need to go through it all again a little その上の 負かす／撃墜する the road when you want to 任命する／導入する one of the other things that use it.
I'm no fan of 追加するing things to my computer's system, but いつかs something is 価値（がある） the nuisance and 危険. I believe that the Java RTE is an example.
Do you HAVE Java??
Windows 10, 12/18, if you have 任命する／導入するd the Java RTE, you should see a "Java" folder in the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of 任命する／導入するd apps that pops up when you 圧力（をかける） the Windows 重要な.How do I tell Open Office? (Or Libre Olffice... I think all that I am about to say 適用するs 平等に there.) For some modules of Open Office, 特に the excellent OpenOffice database, "Base", you need a Java RTE.
Start Open Office. Use 道具s/ 選択s.
Under the main "Open Office" item, there's a sub-item called Java. Clcik on that. If you have an 任命する／導入するd Java RTE, it should be 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d in the 利用できる runtime 環境s. Don't be alarmed if you only have one. CLICK ON THE RADIO BUTTON in 前線 of "Oracle Corp" (the providers of the Java RTE). Click "承認する". that should do it!

Not only must you have the RTE, but it must be the 権利 one, and Base must be using that one, not another. You may have more than one RTE on your computer. (At 7/2009, I was running OO 3.1 with JRE 1.6.0_14)
If Base just won't start, or is 存在 weird, check your Java RTE as follows:
- Get an Open Office window open... it can be any OO 構成要素.
- Click on the menu 入ること／参加（者） "道具s"
- Click on the sub menu 入ること／参加（者） "選択s"
- If the "OpenOffice.org" 長，率いるing has a + in 前線 of it, click
on the + to make it a -, and 陳列する，発揮する the tree of sub-選択s
- Click on "Java", and 持つ／拘留する your breath! Don't be alarmed
if no JAVA RTEs すぐに show
- After 5- 15 seconds, you should see one or more RTEs.
If you have only one RTE on the machine, you may find that the circle (無線で通信する button) in 前線 of it is not "filled in". I've seen OO 取り付け・設備s in this 明言する／公表する work perfectly 井戸／弁護士席. I guess the logic is that if there is only one RTE, then OO is clever enough to just use it. You can click on it to "fill in" the 無線で通信する button, just to be 安全な. Then, carrying on the earlier 指示／教授／教育s....- Select the one with a 見解／翻訳／版 id starting 1.5... or higher. - の近くに everything. - Try Base again! (It is ありそうもない that rebooting the PC will be necessary.) :-)
What happens if you update your RTE? 井戸／弁護士席, I suppose that in theory, your Open Office 取り付け・設備 could become 混乱させるd. I've never 遭遇（する）d the problem myself... it seems to notice and take care of everything by itself. If I ever did have a problem, I'd be very surprised if it couldn't be 打ち勝つ by the explicit "始める，決める RTE choice" 指示／教授／教育s just given.
I hope that 直す／買収する，八百長をするd everything for you? If not, there are many people waiting to help you in さまざまな places. The Open Office 会議s are excellent. If you have to 地位，任命する a request for help, a thread 指名する like "Base says Error 57" is more likely to get a 返答 than "Newbie needs help". Another good place to go is Google's groups service. If you are not familiar with the latter, you should try it. You will have to do some "panning for gold". (That metaphor is so much more encouraging than "sorting wheat from chaff", which might also be used.) There is a lot of rubbish to skim though, ーするために find the flecks of gold, but there is gold there! Build your panning 技術s, and you may find yourself a 正規の／正選手 使用者 of groups.google.com. Oh yes! What if you don't have the Java RTE?
First, are you sure you don't? Go to java.com There's a link called "Do I have Java?" which will check your system for you. You only need to pass the basic "You have the recommended... 任命する／導入するd" 実験（する）. On my machine just now, I didn't pass the "実験（する） your Java 事実上の Machine" 実験（する）... but my OO is working just 罰金. (I 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う I failed the fancier 実験（する） because my firewall or Firefox settings are "tight", to keep rogue html code neutered.)If you downloaded and 任命する／導入するd OpenOffice from the 公式の／役人 場所／位置, you may have the JRE 任命する／導入するd without realizing it. A while ago (6/2007) there was an "含む the Java JRE" (another 指名する for the RTE) tickbox on the OpenOffice 控訴 download page. For some time now (at 7/09), Open Office has been 分配するd to Windows 使用者s with the JRE 会社にする／組み込むd. Linux and Mac 使用者s will have to 協議する other 専門家s for answers to what their JRE 関心s should be.
If you already have a suitable Java 任命する／導入するd on your machine before you 任命する／導入する the OpenOffice 控訴, then there is no need to download the OpenOffice.org installer with Java... but you might 同様に fetch the JRE with your Open Office, just in 事例／患者 your Java is old. If you decide against this, when you go to the 関連した page at the OpenOffice.org 場所／位置, be sure to UN-tick the "含む the Java JRE" box, if it is still on the page when you try this. ("JRE"? Another 指名する for the RTE.)
Some older machines may be infested with a 見解／翻訳／版 of "Java" that Microsoft was once 分配するing. For once, the 法廷，裁判所s managed to do something with them, and that "率先" went away. I think the problem is 制限するd to Windows 98 machines. If you know better, and/ or can remind me of links to the un-任命する／導入する 指示／教授／教育s, do please let me know? (The MS "Java" is NOT suitable for the OpenOffice 控訴... what a surprise.)
If you have a "too old" 見解／翻訳／版 of the RTE, or chose not to download the Java RTE when you download OpenOffice.org (or just forgot about it) you can 任命する／導入する Java afterwards, as explained here.
If you don't have the RTE, for many 壇・綱領・公約s (Windows, Linux, etc) you can get it 解放する／自由な from http://java.sun.com/. You go to the Java SE Downloads page, go a little way 負かす／撃墜する it to the "Java Runtime 環境 (JRE)" link, follow that, and collect the "Java Runtime 環境 (JRE) SE Runtime 環境" which is 権利 for your system. (You don't need the SDK.) There are good 取り付け・設備 公式文書，認めるs there for you. Be sure you download the 権利 RTE for your operating system... there are 見解／翻訳／版s for Windows (different flavors for 32-bit and 64-bit systems), Linux, and others.
People using Macs should look for an "about Java" page at www.apple.com. I had a link to one here for you, but they "改善するd" the 場所／位置, and I'm not spending my time chasing 改正s for such a minor OS. The passion of Mac owners does not change the brand's market 株.
Which Java RTE 見解／翻訳／版 should you download? 一般に speaking, always try for the 最新の stable 解放（する）. Even if the OpenOffice 場所／位置 is talking, say, about Java RTE 5, if Java RTE 6 is 利用できる, try that first. If you have problems, go to the OpenOffice 場所／位置, or the 体制／機構 section of the OpenOffice 会議, and see what people are 説 about matches (or さもなければ!) between different 見解／翻訳／版s of the RTE and the OpenOffice 控訴.
If the advice on this did 直す／買収する，八百長をする something for you, please 令状 and tell me the "symptoms" your machine was showing? I went through all of this so long ago myself that I can't remember what my ooBase was doing before I gave it the 権利 RTE! (接触する info just a little その上の 負かす／撃墜する the page.)
One such person wrote in. He had a database 始める，決める up, had a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, had a form. Form had a 航海 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 on it.... BUT! The 航海 buttons were grayed out, and he couldn't get a 状況 menu for the 航海 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 while in form design 方式. See how deceptive this problem can be? You would 推定する／予想する a program to WORK, or NOT WORK, wouldn't you? Imagine 存在 able to do so much without the 権利 RTE!
