You may find that the database which is part of Libre Office/ OpenOffice delights you as much as it has me. This page tries to help you use it.
Remember that Open Office, 含むing ooBase, is 解放する/自由な! But don't let that fool you. And it's not new. Big organizations, 政府 and 非軍事の, are 可決する・採択するing it as their 基準 office 控訴... and saving million$, but still Getting The 職業 Done.
There's more about ooBase in the main 索引 to this 構成要素.
This page is "browser friendly". Make your browser window as wide as you want it. The text will flow nicely for you. It is easier to read in a 狭くする window. With most browsers, 圧力(をかける)ing 加える, minus or 無 while the 支配(する)/統制する 重要な (ctrl) is held 負かす/撃墜する will change the texts size. (大きくする, 減ずる, 回復する to default, それぞれ.) (This is more fully explained, and there's another tip, at my 力/強力にする Browsing page.)

In this tutorial tries to help you move data from other database 経営者/支配人s into Open Office Base (aka ooBase) (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs. Other tutorials explain how to move data between Open Office 使用/適用s and how to 輸出(する) data from an Open Office 使用/適用 for use in an 外部の 使用/適用.
You may find that you don't need to do 輸入するs... ooBase can, up to a point, work with data created by other https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relational_database_management_system>RDMSs... but in the long run, you are going to 遭遇(する) より小数の hassles if you take the trouble to 再構築する your database in ooBase.
If your 利益/興味 is in using ooBase to work with Microsoft 接近 databases in particular, the link just given has a few 公式文書,認めるs for you... but not many at this point.
The page you are reading seems to be popular, but I am not sure what it is that draws people to it, so I've started breaking it up into more 焦点(を合わせる)d pages. If you will tell me what you (機の)カム here for, I can concentrate 編集(者)の 成果/努力s on the parts of the page the most readers want 拡大するd. Does the page already answer the questions you had? Etc? A quick 公式文書,認める from you would be very welcome... you don't need to give me your email 演説(する)/住所; there's a simple little form for your convenience.
Let me について言及する one thing this tutorial will not show you: It will not show you how to append data from an outside source to an 存在するing ooBase (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する. I prefer to do things one step at a time. If I needed to append data from outside ooBase to an 存在するing ooBase (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, I would first 輸入する that data into a 一時的な ooBase (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, and then append the contents of the 一時的な (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する to the 存在するing (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する.
Let's get started! But first I'd like to say "thanks" to JohnV at the now 死んだ www.oooforum.org Open Office Foru for the seed which grew into this tutorial.
(I find online 会議s are the most helpful source of help to me. I have a page with my 現在の 会議 推薦s for you.)
"CSV" stands for "Comma Separated Values". I've produced a separate page with a general discussion of CSV とじ込み/提出するs.
From long before ooBase (機の)カム along, I have had a database with the 指名するs of 調書をとる/予約するs I've read. It was in Borland's Paradox, and 記録,記録的な/記録するd the 肩書を与える, author, the number of pages, and the year I read each 調書をとる/予約する. 変えるd to CSV form, that data looks like....
1/15/19,"Angel 製造者", "Pearson", 465, 1998 1/27/19,"Lord of the (犯罪の)一味s", "Tolkien", 1065, 1969 2/15/19,"Lion, Witch, Wardrobe", "吊りくさび", 256, 1970
All those 引用する 示すs ("s) are pretty annoying, but the last 記録,記録的な/記録する should show you why they are needed.
The first datum in each 記録,記録的な/記録する is a date. (New to the tutorial, 10 Sep 2019. The tutorial had a major 精密検査する a while ago, under OpenOffice 3.1.0, and was tried again 9/19 under 4.1.6)
If you wish, as I recommend to anyone who wants to really understand all of this, to "follow along", do what is 述べるd in this essay, copy/paste that text to a simple text editor, save as TmpBooksRead.txt.
There's nothing 特に "魔法" about a CSV とじ込み/提出する. It is just a text とじ込み/提出する with a little structure.
If your data is 現在/一般に in a text とじ込み/提出する, we are good to go. If it is 現在/一般に in a spreadsheet, your 職業 is half done, almost certainly. (Re-open it in OpenOffice's spreadsheet ("Calc"), tidy things as necessary, and proceed from the appropriate place below.
If your data is 現在/一般に in a different RDMS, Whatever it is, it should have a 道具 to 輸出(する) the data to a CSV とじ込み/提出する. Certainly Paradox does. I can't tell you too much about this part of the 演習. You'll have to get the CSV 輸出(する) done by yourself! If you can't get 直接/まっすぐに to CSV, you may find that your other 使用/適用 lets you move a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する to a spreadsheet. If you can get it from there into the Open Office Calc spreadsheet somehow, then you won't need the CSV とじ込み/提出する. That is all we are going to use it for. You may even be able to skip putting your data into the Open Office Calc spreadsheet, copying 直接/まっすぐに from your other spreadsheet.
(Please understand that "簡単に" copying a whole database from one RDMS to another is probably never going to be possible. But you can copy the data, (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する by (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, from one to the other, and proceed from there.)
The tab character is いつかs used in place of a comma in 輸出(する) とじ込み/提出するs. If that is all your 使用/適用 申し込む/申し出s, it is 価値(がある) a try; even thus, it would probably work.
To 輸入する a CSV とじ込み/提出する into an ooCalc spreadsheet:
Open a spreadsheet. An old one will do, but a new one would be more usual for this sort of work.
You can either...
i) Open the CSV とじ込み/提出する into an new ooCalc workbook by using ooCalc's "とじ込み/提出する | Open"
....or....
ii) Open the CSV とじ込み/提出する as a new sheet within an already open workbook by using ooCalc's "挿入する | Sheet from とじ込み/提出する".
(Two "詳細(に述べる)s"...
... end of "詳細(に述べる)s".)
When the dialog comes up to 許す you to choose the とじ込み/提出する to 負担, 二塁打-click on the CSV とじ込み/提出する which 持つ/拘留するs the data to be 輸入するd.
In either 事例/患者, you must get yourself to the fancy dialog box shown below. At the 底(に届く) of it you should see a datagrid. It will probably already 持つ/拘留する a 公正に/かなり good "発射" at the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する you want...
... but you will probably have tweak some of the choices. (I'll explain the bent blue arrow in a moment.)
If things are "bunched up", e.g. if you were 輸入するing my "調書をとる/予約するs read" data, and the datagrid has something like...
... all in one column, then look at the "Separator 選択s". As you change them, you should see the data 分配する across the columns 異なって.
When things are looking pretty good, take a の近くに look. Are things like "Lion, Witch, Wardrobe" 存在 SPLIT across three columns? If so, you need to 直す/買収する,八百長をする the "text delimited" setting. In the example above, we used commas for "Separated by", i.e. the field separator, and the 引用するs 示す (") for the "Text delimiter". (In which 事例/患者, commas inside a pair of 引用するs are "hidden", and not used to 分裂(する) "Lion" and "Witch" and "Wardrobe" between three columns. Even Baldrick would 譲歩する that's "cunning".
Once you've got those settings 権利, i.e. things are 存在 sorted into fields 適切に, look at the data you are 輸入するing. Are any fields with only digits NOT numbers? For instance, you might have a "serial number" or "telephone number" field. While the serial "number" 529526 is made up of digits, it is not a number in any serious sense.... and serial number "00023" will get 変えるd to "23", which you may not want. Also, you're never going to do arithmetic with a telephone number, so don't let the (a)自動的な/(n)自動拳銃 data typing 宣言する that field numeric. 始める,決める the column type of such fields to "text".
Some 半端物s and ends...
I 港/避難所't 演説(する)/住所d the "Link" tickbox which arises if you use "挿入する | Sheet from とじ込み/提出する". I'm not going into 詳細(に述べる), but I'll advise you to keep your life simple: Leave that unticked. Ticking it creates some "魔法", but 魔法 you may like as much as the sorcerer's 見習い工 liked the 魔法 he 抑えるのをやめるd. With the box unticked, you'll 輸入する the data as it is at the moment in the CSV とじ込み/提出する 関心d. By ticking the "link" box, if you know what you're doing, and you do it 権利, the (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) in the worksheet you are creating will stay in sync with the CSV とじ込み/提出する you created it from.... even 会社にする/組み込むing changes to the CSV とじ込み/提出する made AFTER the worksheet was created. But get it wrong, and changes which you thought would percolate though don't, and you are working with bad data....
Click "Okay"! The spreadsheet should fill with the data, nicely 始める,決める out in a grid, like an ooBase (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する.
Do not の近くに the spreadsheet.
Remember that "a database" may consist of several (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs, forms, queries, 報告(する)/憶測s. What you may think of as "a database" may 単に be a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する.
You are 単に creating a new (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する. Either open an 存在するing database, or, if appropriate, start a new database in the usual way. If starting a new one, select "登録(する) / Open database", but do not select "Create (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs with wizard". I created a new database and saved it in....
C:\My 文書s\FreeDB\FDB006\
...as FDB006.odb
So... remembering that "database" and "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" are different things (one database can have 多重の (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs within it), now that you have either opened an old database or created a new one...
Go 支援する to the spreadsheet 持つ/拘留するing your data. 挿入する a 列/漕ぐ/騒動 above the 最高の,を越す of the data. Type column 指名するs into the new 独房s. The the contents of these 独房s will be used to 指名する the fields. That left me with...
Select all of the data, and the 列/漕ぐ/騒動 of 独房s with the field 指名するs. (Ctrl-A is the 平易な way to do this. Don't be alarmed by the fact that the whole sheet gets selected.... unless you have "stuff" on the sheet besides the data (and headings).)
圧力(をかける) Ctrl-C (Shortcut for copy)
Go 支援する to the database. Select "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs" in the "Database" pane.
権利-click in the "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs" pane. Click on "Paste"
Select "鮮明度/定義 and Data", if it isn't already selected.
Be sure "Use first line as column 指名するs" is ticked.
If you can use one of the columns for the 最初の/主要な 重要な, leave the "Create 最初の/主要な 重要な" item UN-ticked. さもなければ tick it, and the ソフトウェア will 追加する a new column, with an automatically incrementing number 供給(する)d as the 記録,記録的な/記録する's 最初の/主要な 重要な field. In my example, I am going to use the first field, the date, as the 最初の/主要な 重要な. (That will depend upon me never finishing two 調書をとる/予約するs on the same day. 最初の/主要な 重要な values must be unique across all of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs in the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する.)
Be sure to tick "Create 最初の/主要な 重要な"... unless there is a column in the spreadsheet with suitable data in it already. Every value in the column must be unique, for the column to be "suitable". (Ticking the box for "create 最初の/主要な 重要な" will 追加する a field to your database. If in 疑問, use Base's 申し込む/申し出 to create a 最初の/主要な 重要な, i.e. tick the box. Make the 指名する for the 最初の/主要な 重要な something sensible. (The default "ID" is often just 罰金. Be sure that whatever 指名する you ask it to use isn't a 指名する already 現在の in the headings you gave the spreadsheet's columns.)
Click "Next". That should give rise to...
The "適用する columns" page lets you decide which columns you want in the new (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する. You will probably want them all, and the >> button 許すs you to have them easily. You can 削除する superfluous columns later easily; you can't 追加する 行方不明になるd columns easily.
A Type Formatting page arises... you can almost just click "Create" for now... you can get 支援する to these later. On the other 手渡す, when you are more proficient, doing it now might be a better idea in some ways.
But! If you are using one of the fields you are 輸入するing for the 最初の/主要な 重要な, 権利 click on it...
.. click "最初の/主要な 重要な". A little 重要な icon should appear in 前線 of the field you have chosen to be the 最初の/主要な 重要な.
In the "Type formatting" page, you may be able to leave most things 不変の. 公式文書,認める that in this dialog, you are setting 所有物/資産/財産s for each of the fields in the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する. As you change the field selected in the left 手渡す column, you see that field' 所有物/資産/財産s in the 残り/休憩(する) of the dialog box.
Setting the data type 適切に is 特に important. If you have any 数値/数字による data with which you want to do arithmetic (for example, a "price" field in an 在庫 system), it would be best to change the field type for those fields. However, as explained earlier, you will probably want to use one of the "text" types for serial "numbers", etc.
Be careful if you decide to try to make any changes to the 最初の/主要な 重要な field. If you aren't sure that you know what you are doing, it would be best to leave the settings as ooBase made them.
If you 明示する too few characters for a text field, then any 記録,記録的な/記録するs which are too long will 誘発する/引き起こす a message during the "create (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" 段階, and I'm afraid the 記録,記録的な/記録するs are just dropped. You can use the database's ID field's value as a guide for finding the lost 記録,記録的な/記録するs in the spreadsheet copy of the data.
If you have some numbers which are not integers, for instance 量s of money, the type which would work for me was "Decimal", AND I had to raise the number of decimal places above the default "0".
If you have dates to 輸入する, they are probably going to be their own special sort of nightmare.... the usually are, anyway... across all 使用/適用s! But they "should" work, and いつかs will. 実験, but check your data 輸入するs carefully! の中で other things, be sure that 1/2/2006 comes out the way you want it. 1st of Feb or 2nd of Jan? It can mean either, depending on what part of the world you are in, and computers get 混乱させるd. Having said all of that, I should 追加する that I have seen dates work... with a に引き続いて 勝利,勝つd!
Click "Create", and, after a moment, your (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する should be done. 二塁打-click on its 指名する to open it.
(My thanks to the helpful reader who wrote in to point out that there is one more chore you should probably do. (Don't worry about the "probably". If it isn't appropriate to your 正確な circumstances, you can 改訂する the setting later.))
If, as is likely, your 最初の/主要な 重要な is an integer, you may 井戸/弁護士席 want Base to take care of entering the values for you. You wouldn't even need to 陳列する,発揮する the 最初の/主要な 重要な on data 入ること/参加(者) forms, if it is a meaningless value. ("integer" is the ありふれた data type the に引き続いて 適用するs to. A few others, with "integer" in the 指名する, おもに, also 許す you to 始める,決める an "AutoValue" 所有物/資産/財産 true... but you won't find it on 申し込む/申し出 for many data types.)
Select "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" in the upper left 手渡す pane of the main Base database 管理/経営 審査する. Then 権利-click on the 指名する of your とじ込み/提出する in the 権利 手渡す pane, open your database in edit 方式. Click on the 入ること/参加(者) for the 最初の/主要な 重要な. Look for an "AutoValue" 所有物/資産/財産. If there isn't one, consider changing the data type for your 最初の/主要な 重要な field. 始める,決める AutoValue to "yes", for 平易な data 入ること/参加(者), when your 最初の/主要な 重要な isn't something with inherent meaning.

That wasn't too painful, now, was it? (Unless dates were 伴う/関わるd!)

This is one of at least four pages discussing CSV とじ込み/提出するs in my ooBase tutorials. In this page, you were shown how CSV とじ込み/提出するs could be used to 輸入する data from 外部の, 非,不,無 OpenOffice 使用/適用s.
... and of course there's also the 場所/位置's main menu!
I dislike 'fancy' websites with more 関心 for a flashy 外見 than for good content. For a pretty picture, I can go to an art gallery. Of course, an attractive 場所/位置 WITH content deserves 賞賛する... as long as that pretty 直面する doesn't cost download time. In any 事例/患者....
