Remember that Libre Office, 含むing its database app, "Base", is 解放する／自由な. Don't let that fool you, though. Big organizations, 政治の and 非軍事の, have 可決する・採択するd it as their 基準 office 控訴... and saving million$, but still Getting The 職業 Done. And making things 平易な for 使用者s on different 壇・綱領・公約s... This page is "browser friendly". Make your browser window as wide as you want it. The text will flow nicely for you. It is easier to read in a 狭くする window. With most browsers, 圧力（をかける）ing 加える, minus or 無 while the 支配（する）／統制する 重要な (ctrl) is held 負かす／撃墜する will change the texts size. (大きくする, 減ずる, 回復する to default, それぞれ.) What it's all about, Alfie...

In theory.. and it is a good theory... you should interact with the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs in your database 経由で forms. That's not to say that 使用者s never cheat, never work 直接／まっすぐに with a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, but doing so is Not A Good Idea. It is very 平易な to 始める，決める up a form which looks very like the ordinary 見解（をとる） of your （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, if that's what you want. And many other good things become possible when you know how to make forms. And some bad things are 避けるd.

While you could just return to that database and 延長する it, I 示唆する you 始める，決める up a new database, or clone the old one. We're going to cover a lot of ground in 尊敬（する）・点 of what you can do 経由で forms. Once the "how" is out of the way in the course of this (tedious?) tutorial, the 行う／開催する／段階 will be 始める，決める for more 利益／興味ing 未来 tutorials illustrating why we would want some of the 機能（する）／行事s.

Once we are looking at our data by means of a form, powerful sorting and filtering 道具s become 利用できる. What they are an how to use them are discussed in this tutorial too.

If you have been working your way through my tutorials, you will already have a copy of a very basic 演説（する）／住所 (and telephone number) 調書をとる／予約する database. If you 港／避難所't done that tutorial yet, you don't 現実に need to, to understand much of what follows... but if you want to try things, you'll need it. It shouldn't take you long to 始める，決める it up... and if you can't 始める，決める it up quickly, doing that tutorial will help you to 強化する some important 技術s.

At this 行う／開催する／段階, you can, if you wish, clone the database. Then if you make mistakes, you won't have to 始める，決める it up again from scratch. But it probably isn't necessary. (If you decide not to clone the database, 扱う／治療する all 言及／関連s below to "FDB007" as a 言及／関連 to "FDB004"... assuming you used the 指名する I 示唆するd for the 演説（する）／住所/phone 調書をとる／予約する.)

Now I'm going to show you the 創造 of a form using the Form Wizard. I'm not a fan, in general, of Wizards, and hope you will soon go on to the 代案／選択肢 "Create Form In Design 見解（をとる）", but for getting started, the advantages of Wizards outweigh their 制限s and annoyances.

Start Base; open FDB007, select "Forms" in the "Database" pane of the program 経営者／支配人. Click on the 仕事 "Use Wizard to create form...." (公式文書，認める that you can check which step you are on in what follows if you look in the left 手渡す pane of the wizard's window.)

Step 1: Often, you will start step one by selecting the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する the form is to 陳列する，発揮する. As our little database only has one （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, you don't need to change the source （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する.

Use the >> button to move all of the "利用できる Fields" to the "Fields in Form" 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）. Then select the field called ID, and move it 支援する to the 利用できる 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） with the < button. (The "ID" field has its uses, but you don't need to see it, and can't edit it. Yes: You could have 居住させるd the "Fields in Form" 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） 異なって.) Click Next.

Step 2: Skip over Step 2 by clicking Next. We don't need sub-forms. Not 追加するing a sub-form will 原因（となる） steps 3 & 4 to be skipped, too.

Step 5: Select for 協定 of the main form the layout that looks like a spreadsheet... the third 選択, the one that is the simplest... just a rectangle of contiguous rectangles. You'll see "As Data Sheet" for the layout's description when you have the 権利 one selected. Click Next.

Step 6: Select "Form is to 陳列する，発揮する all data", but do not tick any of the "Do not 許す..." boxes. Do take a moment, though to imagine the different circumstances which would 利益 from one or another of the 代案／選択肢s. Remember that you can have many （米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs 利用できる for 事実上の／代理 on a 選び出す／独身 form. You can even have several like the one we are creating, 異なるing only in their 修正する/ 削除する 権利s. Having the 多重の forms would 会合，会う the needs of a 状況／情勢 where there were several 使用者s of a database, 使用者s with different 責任／義務s and 当局. Click Next.

Step 7: Just go with the default by clicking Next again, unless you really, really want to "play" with the 選択s. There's no 害（を与える） in doing so, probably.

Step 8: Call this the "Basic （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Form", or "Data 入ること／参加（者） Form". (Not "Basic （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する 見解（をとる） Form", as "見解（をとる）" has a special meaning in database work.) Leave the "Work with the form" 選択 不変の.

Click "Finish"!

Give the program a moment, and a window should come up with your （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する 陳列する，発揮するd looking a bit like a spreadsheet, much as it looked when you 接近d the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する 直接／まっすぐに.

公式文書，認める that you are looking at a Libre Office (or Open Office) Writer 文書. 冷静な／正味の. 公式文書，認める also the "Read Only" in the 肩書を与える 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業. This 言及するs to the layout of the form. (We'll 直す／買収する，八百長をする the size and position of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する and its window in a moment.) As long as you proceeded as advised above, you should find that you can change, 追加する or 削除する 記録，記録的な／記録するs in the database. A 記録，記録的な／記録する is saved to レコード as soon as you move out of that 記録，記録的な／記録する. If you try to の近くに the form with unsaved （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）, you will be asked if you ーするつもりであるd to discard the last 記録，記録的な／記録する edit, and given a chance to save it.

To 削除する one or more 記録，記録的な／記録するs: Select it/ them by clicking in the empty rectangle(s) just to the left of the left-most field. Then either use the red X in the toolbar at the 底（に届く） of the window, or 権利 click over one of the empty rectangle(s) just to the left of the left-most field in the 選択, and click "削除する 列／漕ぐ／騒動(s)", the only 選択 in the 権利-click menu.

公式文書，認める that across the 底（に届く） of the spreadsheet-like （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する of data there are "VCR" style 支配（する）／統制するs which let you move around the database.

If you change the number in the "記録，記録的な／記録する [number] of [number]" edit box, as soon as you 圧力（をかける） enter, you will go to that 記録，記録的な／記録する.

Now we'll change the size of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, and the 初期の 明言する／公表する of the window in which it opens.

の近くに the Writer window 陳列する，発揮するing the form. In the Base 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window, 権利-click on your form's 指名する, "Basic （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する Form", if you took my suggestion. You should get a number of choices: Copy, 削除する, 改名する, Edit and Open. If you only get one or two of those, then be sure you 港／避難所't got the form open already. If that doesn't 証明する to be the 事例／患者, の近くに Base, 出口 the Quickstarter, 再開する Base. If that doesn't 直す／買収する，八百長をする things, の近くに all open 使用／適用s, re-start Windows, try again. Isn't necessary often, but the need used to arise once in a while. (I 港／避難所't seen it 刈る up recently.) I had the "edit not 利用できる" problem when I was doing some things wrong.

Once "Edit" is an 選択, select it.

You'll see your form again, but now you can do things to it, and the things on it. Click on a corner of the grid which 陳列する，発揮するs your data. The grid should acquire 8 small green squares, drag 扱うs. (If you don't get them on your first try, click again in a わずかに different place.) You can use them to re-size the grid. You can re-position the grid.

Once you have the grid at a sensible size, in a sensible place, adjust the size and position of the window that it is in. Save the form. (とじ込み／提出する | Save, or use the icon.) の近くに the window with the form in it. Once again, 二塁打-click on the form's 指名する in the Base 事業／計画（する） 経営者／支配人 window to re-open it, and it should come up as you 手配中の，お尋ね者 it... but, sadly, getting the whole window where you want it on the 審査する is more difficult, and not something to go into at this time.

Re-arranging column order....

It is possible, but いつかs not 平易な, to 配列し直す the order of fields in the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する underlying your forms, etc. But it is not necessary. If you use forms to work with your data, 配列し直すing the order the fields are 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d in on the formis really 平易な.

Open the form for edit. Drag one of the column headings left or 権利. You should see an arrow before you 解放（する） the mouse button, and when you 解放（する） the mouse button, the column you were dragging should appear in the place you asked for it to 占領する. 平易な!

Getting clever...

Not that you're likely to need to do the に引き続いて, but just so that you know that you can:

Re-open the form for editing, 権利 click on the grid, and select "支配（する）／統制する 所有物／資産／財産s" from the menu. The resulting 所有物／資産／財産s editor has two tabs... go to the "general" tab, if you aren't already there. Within that you can alter both the 列／漕ぐ／騒動 高さ and the font of the data you are 陳列する，発揮するing. I couldn't find a way to change the font of the column headings.

(If when you come to try to use the form, it seems to be "read-only", check... did you base the form on a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する (good) or a query (bad)? (You can 陳列する，発揮する the data from a query with a form, but you won't be able to edit it.)

Once you have opened a form for editing, you can flip 支援する and 前へ／外へ between editing and 実験（する）ing with the button on the 底（に届く） of the window which features a 始める，決める-square, a 水平の 支配者, and a diagonal pencil. It's 道具 tip says "Design 方式". If you can't find that icon, use the window's main menu 見解（をとる） | Toolbars item to be sure that the "Form Design" toolbar is ticked for 陳列する，発揮する.

The button for turning the design 方式 on and off appears on a number of toolbars. It is the one 示すd "2" on the "Form 支配（する）／統制するs" toolbar discussed in my "指名するing of Parts" 公式文書，認める about it. (That 公式文書，認める will open in a new tab or window... just の近くに it, and you will find yourself 支援する here.)

Play with the form a little bit, to get the idea of what you can do, but don't try to make it perfect.

公式文書，認める the icon in the 底（に届く） of the window, 近づく the Design 方式 On/Off, which gives you 接近 to the form's 所有物／資産／財産s. (The grid must be selected to enable the "Form" (所有物／資産／財産s) icon. The second tab, "Data" has some useful items on it. (The form's 所有物／資産／財産s are also 利用できる from the same 権利 click menu that gave us 接近 to the grid's 所有物／資産／財産s.)

Remember that the form is "just" a Writer 文書, albeit with some fancy "stuff" on it... In the design 方式, don't be shy about putting some ordinary stuff on the form, outside of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する of data, for example a 肩書を与える. A 見解／翻訳／版 ID is always a good idea, if only the date the form was last altered.

Lets' leave the topic of the form's design for a bit, and look at using features of the form. Take yourself out of design 方式, if that's what you're in. The grid should fill with data. (The に引き続いて 構成要素 was NOT edited in January 2010... do let me know, if you 遭遇（する） things that are out of date, or 不明瞭な, please?)

一般に speaking, I prefer to work with the main menu 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 of any 使用／適用. With Base, to work with the data in the grid on your form, you do most things with the grid's toolbar buttons, which I いつかs 言及する to as icons. They are across the 底（に届く） of the window.

The に引き続いて is about a 明確な／細部 事例／患者... the 事例／患者 of when you are looking at the data in your database with a form. (Although there are general points 伴う／関わるd, too. 類似の toolbars... the same one, maybe, is 利用できる when you are in the "（米）棚上げする／（英）提議するs" module.) When the form is not in design 方式. The toolbar they are on is called the "form 航海 toolbar". 最高潮の場面d with mauve in the image above. 井戸／弁護士席... the toolbar starts there. You can move it. (Remember: I do 申し込む／申し出 my playing with toolbars 公式文書，認める!) If you lose a toolbar, use the main menu item "見解（をとる）", select the Toolbars 選択. The toolbar that seems to be 行方不明の will be unticked if it is "行方不明の" for a simple 推論する／理由. (If ticked, look again... it's there somewhere!) If unticked, click on it. The menu window should の近くに and the toolbar should 再現する.) I'm not going to explain all of the buttons on each toolbar... 実験 (carefully, with "science". Don't just click 無作為に!) The first ones to master are as follows...

Things you can do....

挿入する a new 記録，記録的な／記録する. Beware: If you have the 転換 重要な 負かす／撃墜する when you 攻撃する，衝突する the space 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業, "funny" (but unwelcome!) things happen. New 記録，記録的な／記録するs will be 挿入するd at the 底（に届く） of the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, but can be moved by sorting, which we'll come to. The icon is a green 権利-pointing triangle with a yellow "new" 星／主役にする. 道具 tip: "New 記録，記録的な／記録する".

Sort the data. For something simple, like sorting it によれば the "Last 指名する" in each 記録，記録的な／記録する: a) select a 独房 with a Last 指名する in it. Click the sort it icon: And A above a Z, with a red arrow beside it. 道具 tip: Sort 上がるing. (公式文書，認める: You cannot sort if you have selected the whole of a column. Select just one field in one 記録，記録的な／記録する.) (Also 公式文書，認める: You are sorting the 記録，記録的な／記録するs as 陳列する，発揮するd on your form. The underlying （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する is left untouched.)

For a コンビナート／複合体 sort, say Last 指名する first, and sort the Smiths out by first 指名する, e.g. Adam first, Zara last, click on the sorting icon that consists just of an A above a Z.

Once you have done a sort, or a filter (we'll come to filters in a moment), if you 追加する 記録，記録的な／記録するs, they will be at the 底（に届く）, not in their proper place. Click the "Refresh" icon- the blue 半分-circular arrow. (The Refresh button is even more important in a multi-使用者 環境.) The data will only re-sort if you have not clicked the "除去する Filter/Sort" icon: The funnel with the red X on it. (When no filter or sort has been 設立するd, the red X is gray.) 除去するing a sort is 一般に pointless. Re-sorting, with different 基準 might make sense. 除去するing a sort (pointless) will have the かもしれない unwelcome 味方する 影響 of 除去するing any 蓄える／店d filter 支配する, even if the 支配する is not 現在／一般に in 活動／戦闘.

Filters. These can be a little scary at first. To see one in 活動／戦闘, first enter at least ten 記録，記録的な／記録するs into the database, making sure that you have two and only two people called Brown. Also have someone called Browning.

Select the LastName field of one of you Browns. Click on the "AutoFilter" button. It is a funnel with a diagonal blue line and an arc of blue 星／主役にするs. (A "魔法" 病弱なd). Help! All but two of your 記録，記録的な／記録するs are "gone"! No they aren't. Base is filtering what you see, showing only the 記録，記録的な／記録する which match the one you had selected when you clicked "AutoFilter". It isn't so much the filtering that is (a)自動的な／(n)自動拳銃, as the setting up of the filtering 支配するs. After AutoFilter creates some 支配するs, it 適用するs them, true.

The button with a simple funnel on it is not like most of the others. It isn't a "click here to do...." button. It is an "on/ off" button. (The "Design 方式 On/Off" button on the form design toolbar was another.) After using the AutoFilter button, you will see the "Filter On/Off button has acquired a background, filtering will be turned off again, and your "行方不明の" 記録，記録的な／記録するs return. Whew.

Your filter 支配する is still in the system. Click the simple funnel button and it will be re-適用するd.

If you click on the button with the funnel and red X, the filtering is turned off, and your filtering (and sorting) 支配するs are erased.

Remember the コンビナート／複合体 sorts that were possible? Something 類似の is possible for filters, but I couldn't seem to get into the 権利 dialog unless the form was in design 方式... but see the next few paragraphs. Anyway... with the form in design 方式, 権利 click on the data （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する, select "Form", go to the data tab, click the "..." to the 権利 of the "Filter" edit box. You may 井戸／弁護士席 have "LastName" like 'Brown' in that at the moment. If you make it "LastName" like 'Brown*', your filter will show not only the line for Mr Brown, but also for Mr Browning, Brownlow, etc, etc.

Here's what you do when not in form design 方式 to edit the 自動車 filter, e.g. change "Brown" to "LIKE 'Brown*', which 原因（となる）s the filter to 選ぶ up things like "Browning". (公式文書，認める the punctuation 示すs you need: the * wildcard, and ' , not " around the string to match.)....

Click on the "form-based filters" button to the 権利 of the "toggle the filter on and off" button (looks like a funnel with a window floating over it) in the tiny toolbar that appears.

Click on the "filter 航海" button (funnel with a compass on it).

In the filter 航海 pop-up, 権利 click on "LastName: LIKE 'Brown'", select "edit", change to "LIKE 'Brown*'" and 圧力（をかける） enter (or click どこかよそで in the pop-up) to make it to save your change. の近くに that window.

In the tiny pop up toolbar click on "適用する form-based filter" (a funnel)" ... and lo! Browning appears!

The button with binoculars on it lets you search your data for 明確な／細部 記録，記録的な／記録するs. 公式文書，認める that there is another button with binoculars on the windows main toolbar. This is for finding things in the other parts of the form, which may be mostly empty at the moment, but this won't always be the 事例／患者.

In 結論...

So! There you have it. You've seen how to create a Data Sheet style form for 接近ing the data in a （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する. (The other layouts 許す you to see all of a big 記録，記録的な／記録する easily, at the price of only 存在 able to see one 記録，記録的な／記録する's data at a time. See "Part Two" of "A Simple Form" if you want help.)

You're "an 専門家" (井戸／弁護士席, becoming one!) on the 推論する／理由s for using a form, how to 始める，決める one up, how to adapt it to your 正確な needs. In particular, you can 現在の as many or as few of the 記録，記録的な／記録するs fields as you need, and in any order you prefer.

Along the way, you learned about cloning a database and working with sorts and filters.
