This page is "browser friendly". Make your browser window as wide as you want it. The text will flow nicely for you. It is easier to read in a 狭くする window. With most browsers, 圧力(をかける)ing 加える, minus or 無 while the 支配(する)/統制する 重要な (ctrl) is held 負かす/撃墜する will change the texts size. (大きくする, 減ずる, 回復する to default, それぞれ.) This page 述べるs how Libre Office can be used to produce sheets of 演説(する)/住所 labels from the database 始める,決める up during the course of my "First (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" tutorial. 完全にする that first, if you want to try the things 述べるd below. It also shows you how to 適用する filters to the 記録,記録的な/記録するs on 陳列する,発揮する in a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, and how to sort them.
It is 公正に/かなり typical of my tutorials. If you want a more concise 解説,博覧会, you might prefer my other page about printing 演説(する)/住所 labels. But it doesn't cover sorting or filtering.
Libre Office takes an approach to database work which was not intuitive for me. There's nothing wrong with the approach... it is better than what I'm used to, in some ways, but if you've used databases before, beware 仮定/引き受けることs you may make!
First "oddity": Libre Office 持続するs a 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) of "登録(する)d" databases... database about which it "knows". You'll want to learn more about this another time. For now, if you're carrying on from the "First (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" tutorial, your copy of Base should "know" about the database it needs. The 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) of what's 登録(する)d (and the 指名する it is 登録(する)d under) can be 設立する 経由で 道具s | 選択s | LibreOffice Base | Databases. You'll probably see some strange things there in places I wouldn't have put them, e.g. C:\My 文書s\230am.odb. These things arrived along with Base, when you 任命する/導入するd it. You should also see FDB004: C:\My 文書s\FreeDB\FDB004\FDB004.odb
Second "oddity"... which is a delight, when you've mastered it: Base's 報告(する)/憶測s are 現実に Libre Office Writer 文書s. Pretty fancy ones, perhaps, but Writer 文書s, 非,不,無-the-いっそう少なく.
So let's make mailing labels from FDB004 ("解放する/自由な Data Base"... my 指名する.)
Get Libre Office Writer running, but with no 文書s open. Invoke とじ込み/提出する | New | Labels. A wizard will start up.
The labels tab may have 捨てるs of things you've tried already in the "Label Text" box. If so, get rid of them.
Do not tick the "演説(する)/住所" box... that's for filling the box with your return 演説(する)/住所, as 蓄える/店d within Libre Office.
Over in the "Database" listbox, select FDB004, if that is not already selected, and NameAddr for the "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議する". (In Libre Office 条件, the database is (やめる rightly) all of the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs, forms, 報告(する)/憶測s, etc, associated with the data you are using.)
When you've done that, if you click on the "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議する" 減少(する) 負かす/撃墜する, you should see the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs in that database. At 27 Oct 20, when I tried this with a database that "should" have "worked", no (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs were 認める to. Sigh. But I 設立する another database that DID have suitable 構成要素! (The FDB004 did seem to be "登録(する)d". That would be a first 嫌疑者,容疑者/疑う.) Just use a different (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, if you too, are having problems with FDB004 as a source.
Digression: I subsequently 人物/姿/数字d out the problem over my "FW004" "登録(する)d" database.
I'd moved the .odb とじ込み/提出する, "by 手渡す", after it's 初期の 創造.
Cure: In Libre Office (any module!) 道具s/ 選択s/ LibreOffice Base/ database, I 削除するd the old "FDB004", and then used the "New" button.
All "new" needed was for me to browse to the .odb, choose it. In a later step, you even get to give the "登録(する)d" database a 指名する of your choosing.
Now begins a somewhat tedious 演習.
For "Database Field" select "RestOfName" (Or some other field, if you too are not working with FDB004), and click the 権利 pointing arrow to the left of that listbox.
You should see <FDB004.NameAddr.0.RestOfName> in the Label Text box, and the insertion point should be just after that.

Change "Database Field" to "LastName", and click the 権利 pointing arrow to the left of that listbox again.
You should see <FDB004.NameAddr.0.LastName> in the Label Text box, and the insertion point should be just after that.

Whew! Done. We have built up in the "Label text" box the 鮮明度/定義 of what we want printed. (It has become a bit hard to read along the way, but with it's scroll 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業s you can see what is there.
公式文書,認める that you can 挿入する things like line 料金d, spaces, commas, etc, etc, besides the 言及/関連s to fields. More on this later.
Still on the "Labels" tab, Under 判型, you would typically select sheet, and do that now, for the sake of our 演習. Select a brand and label type suitable to your needs. (Clicking on the 判型 tab will show you the layout of your selected combination, or, if you are very hard working, you can enter the specifications for a label by 手渡す.
Now we come to a choice.
On the 選択s tab, there's a box 示すd "synchronize contents".
If you don't tick it, then you won't be able to do something you might want to be able to do. More on that in a moment. However, you are also creating a 状況/情勢 where 使用者s of the database may be alarmed by something that can happen, looks "bad"... but is no 災害.
The thing that looks bad, is that if, late in the day, a 使用者 clicks the "synchronize labels" button, then all of the labels will be filled with whatever 指名する and 演説(する)/住所 is in the first label at the time. It looks bad... but it isn't. When you come to print the labels, they will all be filled with the 訂正する data.
If you do tick the "synchronize labels" button, then you will be able to 罰金-tune the layout of the data on the label after 最初 creating it. This, I think, but it is only a 事柄 of opinion, makes it 価値(がある) living with the disadvantage explained above.... depending on who is going to be using the system, of course. We'll talk about the 罰金 tuning 過程 later.
The Bad News: If you decide that you don't want to tick the "synchronize contents" box, and subsequently come to 悔いる the 決定/判定勝ち(する), I don't know how to enable the "synchronize labels" button after the fact. I had to start again, and 始める,決める up a "new" 始める,決める of labels to get the button when I needed one. Not a major chore, admittedly.
That's enough about that! On the 選択s tab, you also want to select the "entire page" 無線で通信する button. (I think that "選び出す/独身 label" prints one label per page..... not that I can imagine why you would want to do that!)
Click "New 文書" (At last!)
Before going その上の, do とじ込み/提出する | Save. It makes sense to 蓄える/店 the 文書 in the same folder as the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する is in (MyDocs/FDB/FDB004), and to give it the 指名する "Mailing Labels". 公式文書,認める that you are saving a Writer 文書, not creating a 報告(する)/憶測 within Base. Not a big 取引,協定, and I'll say more later.
At this 行う/開催する/段階, you should be looking at an Libre Office Writer 文書. It may be more コンビナート/複合体 than any you've used before, but an Libre Office Writer 文書 it is, 非,不,無-the-いっそう少なく.
You should see a page of labels, but instead of seeing your data on the page, you will see, over and over again, in gray, the field 指名するs which (不足などを)補う a label, e.g. (they will be in < and > brackets)...
RestOfName LastName Addr1 Addr2 City, 明言する/公表する
That's okay!! We're on course to success.
The contents of this excursion may be of 利益/興味. 公式文書,認める that there is a serious 欠陥 in this approach: It will only 生成する one sheet of labels, no 事柄 how many 記録,記録的な/記録するs you select. I've only left this 構成要素 in so that you can play with some of the elements. That play may help you with other things later.. or may not.. I don't know! I wrote what is in the excursion before I learned of the 欠陥, and before I learned the 権利 way to get a 完全にする 始める,決める of labels! Feel 解放する/自由な to skip the excursion if you wish.
Now, 持つ/拘留するing both the [Ctrl] and [転換] 重要なs 負かす/撃墜する, 圧力(をかける) [F4] to open (or の近くに) the Data Sources window. (The 大勝する 経由で the menu is 見解(をとる) | Data Sources.)
A new pane should open in your window, with your data showing in it.
Select more than a few 列/漕ぐ/騒動s of your data... it can even be all of them. (I'm afraid you can't use ctrl-A.) Select by clicking in the 独房 just to the left of the "ID" field 独房. You select more than one the same way you do in many 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)s, i.e. use ctrl-click or 転換-click to select more, after you've selected the first.
Once you have selected a number of 列/漕ぐ/騒動s, click on the "Data To Fields" button in the "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議する data" toolbar which should be 現在の just above the data. The icon was once a green rectangle between four 黒人/ボイコット lines, two above, two below. At 10/20, on my Libre Office machine, I'm not sure the icon was showing 適切に... but the 道具 tip DID say "Data to fields", and did WORK! (It was one of the icons that look like a sheet of typing paper, upper 権利 corner turned 負かす/撃墜する, "(-)" in the middle of the "sheet")
NOW your sheet of labels should look as you would have 推定する/予想するd them to look! "とじ込み/提出する | Print" would turn the 審査する into 署名/調印する-on-paper.
Remember: You do not need to 圧力(をかける) ctrl-転換-F4 for printing labels.... even if you want to be selective.
Once your (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs and labels 文書 are 適切に 始める,決める up, printing a 始める,決める of labels is やめる 平易な. Just select とじ込み/提出する | Print from the labels' window's menu.
You should be asked "Your 文書 含む/封じ込めるs 演説(する)/住所 database fields. Do you want to print a form letter?", and you should answer "Yes". わずかに 半端物, perhaps, but that's the 権利 answer anyway!
A rather busy dialog box should pop up, 肩書を与えるd "Mail 合併する". This is your 支配(する)/統制する パネル盤, in which you 明示する what 記録,記録的な/記録するs should be printed, and in what order.
Before going on, a 詳細(に述べる): In the database 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) at the 最高の,を越す left, it might look like the wrong database is selected. Don't worry about that, as long as the grid 見解(をとる) of the 関連した (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する is showing across most of the 残り/休憩(する) of the 最高の,を越す of the dialog.
For now, we'll content ourselves with just sorting the labels by LastName. To do this: Click on the column 長,率いるing, then click the icon made of an A over a Z, with a 負かす/撃墜する-pointing red arrow to its 権利.
An annoying "quirk" (bug, I think!) 存在するs in the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する's vertical scrolling. If, after sorting, you use the scroll tab to scroll 負かす/撃墜する to the "底(に届く)" of the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する, you will not always be seeing the last 記録,記録的な/記録する. To see that, scroll up a 記録,記録的な/記録する or two, and then scroll 負かす/撃墜する. You will be able to reach the last 記録,記録的な/記録する now.
If you want to print all of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs, you 簡単に click 承認する now.
If you want to select just a few 記録,記録的な/記録するs, I'll show you how now. If you want to use a more clever 選択 technique, we'll cover that in a moment.
If you click in the gray rectangle just to the left of the left-most column of a 記録,記録的な/記録する, you will select that 記録,記録的な/記録する. If you then scroll to another 記録,記録的な/記録する, and click in the corresponding rectangle while 持つ/拘留するing 転換 負かす/撃墜する, then the second 記録,記録的な/記録する, and all those between the two you selected, will be selected.
You can also 追加する or 除去する individual 記録,記録的な/記録するs from the 始める,決める of selected 記録,記録的な/記録するs 簡単に by ctrl-clicking on the gray rectangle just to the left of the left-most column of a 記録,記録的な/記録する.

Notice the bit of text below the data (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する that will have something like...
記録,記録的な/記録する 10 of 42 (18).
Here 10 is the number of the 現在/一般に selected (最高潮の場面d) 記録,記録的な/記録する, the 42 tells you that are 42 記録,記録的な/記録するs in the database, and that 18 of them have been selected for printing.
Once you've made your 選択, click on 承認する.
Remember that our challenge was to produce an 演説(する)/住所s database which held many 演説(する)/住所s, only some of which were to be put on labels for Christmas cards? We decided that if the CmasCard field was empty, that person should not receive a card. If there were anything in the field, a mailing label should be printed.
Be sure that your data has some 記録,記録的な/記録するs with empty CmasCard fields, and some which are not empty!
The labels spec we created earlier will do 罰金 for this, our selective printing of some of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs in our database. You do not have the "CmasCard" field on the label do do 選択 based on what's in the CmasCard field.
Request that the labels be printed in the same way as before. Say "Yes" to the ".. form letter...?" question. In the mail 合併する dialog, you'll see four icons based on funnels. The pale, plain one will identify itself as the "基準 Filter" 道具 if you hover the mouse pointer over it. Click it to define what the "基準 Filter" is for this data at this time.
Use the listboxes to say that the 基準 Filter should be that field CmasCard is "not null". Click Okay to の近くに the 基準 Filter dialog box. (Beware... if there is a space character in the CmasCard field, that will not count as "not null".)
We've created the filter, but we 港/避難所't (yet) told the database to APPLY the filter. To do that, we need to click on the funnel icon with a "tick" 示す. Tooltip: "適用する Filter". This is a toggling icon. Click it once, and it acquires a background, to say "Filtering is on". Click it again, the background and the filtering go away again. As you click and re-click it, you will see that the number of 記録,記録的な/記録するs 陳列する,発揮するd changes. Rather than having to 選ぶ through all of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs, checking the CmasCard field of each, you can use the filter to hide all of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs with blank CmasCard fields, select all of the 記録,記録的な/記録するs that remain 明白な, do "Data To Fields", as before. And you are nearly ready to print your selected 演説(する)/住所s の上に mailing labels!
Before you do that, you might want to put them in alphabetical order.
Click on the LastName column 長,率いるing, and then click on the A-over-a-Z-with-an-arrow-next-to-it icon. That will sort the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する によれば LastName.
Digression: But what if you want your さまざまな Smiths sorted with Adam first and Zack last?
Click on the "up arrow" by a "負かす/撃墜する arrow" icon (tooltip: "Sort") for more コンビナート/複合体 sorting.
公式文書,認める that when you've created either a sort or a 基準 filter, the specifications are not 保持するd in the dialog box you used to create it. Try putting a "CmasCard <> blank" filter on your data. 公式文書,認める that if you click the "基準 Filter" button a second time, it will be empty again, even though the data is still 適切に filtered, as long as the "適用する Filter" button is "押し進めるd in". A 類似の 状況/情勢 適用するs to sorts.
The funnel-with-a-red-X icon 除去するs the filtering and sorting 支配するs that you've put in, if that's what you want to do.
Another digression:
Sadly, the filters you 明示する are not remembered... but if you 始める,決める up a query, that would 遂行する the same thing. 始める,決める up the query first, then run the New | Labels wizard. Somewhat ambiguously, your query will be 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)d as one of the database's "(米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs"... but that's not 完全に daft as a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する does result from the running of a query. I wonder what happens if you try to give a query a 指名する you are already using for a (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する?)
Congratulations! That covers the basics. Don't go off and celebrate just yet, though. There's one more thing to cover.
If you selected the "Synchronize Contents" 選択, you can edit the labels. For the sake of an example, we're going the alter the first line so that every label starts with "TO:", and so that the 指名する is in a larger typesize than the 残り/休憩(する) of the label.
Working with the Writer 文書 that all that has gone before has created, use the scroll 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業s to get the upper left 手渡す label into 見解(をとる).
Click 近づく the start of the first line. If you are lucky, you will place the insertion point within the label, and you can 圧力(をかける) "Home" to move it to the start of the line.
If you were unlucky, when you clicked on the label, you selected the でっちあげる,人を罪に陥れる the label is built within. If this happened, you will have 選択 扱うs (little green boxes) at the corners of the でっちあげる,人を罪に陥れる, and in the middle of each 辛勝する/優位. No problem. Just 圧力(をかける) escape to deselect the でっちあげる,人を罪に陥れる, and try again to click within the label.
When you've got the insertion point in the 権利 place, type "TO: " (Without the 引用するs, but with a space after the 結腸.)
You should see the first label now changed. To propagate that change across the whole sheet of labels, click on the Synchronize Labels button which you should see floating somewhere on the 審査する. No Synchronize" button? You forgot to tick the box on the 選択s, tab, didn't you?? See above!
Don't be alarmed when you see the sheet fill with many copies of one person's label, or just with the field 指名するs.
Our next trick is 単に re-using the one we just 成し遂げるd, to give you practice, and to 増強する the 技術.
Get the insertion point at the 権利 手渡す end of the first line.
持つ/拘留する 負かす/撃墜する 転換, and use the arrow 重要なs to move the insertion point to the beginning of the 指名する on the label. That should leave the 指名する selected.
Using the window's main menu, "判型 | Character | Font", or the quick 代案/選択肢 on the toolbar, change the typesize for the 指名する to something larger.. 16 pt, say. Play around in other ways, too, if you're so inclined. Maybe change the color of the text.
When you've got the first label as you want it, click on the Synchronize button again. Again, the sheet fills with duplicate labels.
One last thing... the 文書 which you created, the one that produces the labels, isn't a Base 報告(する)/憶測. This is no big 取引,協定... unless you look for it in the Base 事業/計画(する) 経営者/支配人, and become alarmed that it isn't there! Or if you have come from some other RDMS and assume that just because they would call such a 文書 a 報告(する)/憶測, Base will!
Once you have 始める,決める up a "Labels" 文書, and saved it, you can subsequently open and use it やめる 独立して of "Base". Base doesn't need to be running to print the labels.
When you open the Labels 文書, you may be asked: "Update all links?" I think you should always say yes... it seems to do no 害(を与える)!

If you want an 広告 hoc 演説(する)/住所 labels 使用/適用, I sell LunhamLabels as shareware! It is a bit of a 苦痛 to 始める,決める up, but once you are there, it does a good 職業 of doing labels, and can be selective, i.e. print just the labels you've flagged, say for Christmas cards, from your 包括的な 演説(する)/住所s 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる). The latter, for Lunham Labels, is just a text 文書. Libre Office isn't 伴う/関わるd.
I dislike 'fancy' websites with more 関心 for a flashy 外見 than for good content. For a pretty picture, I can go to an art gallery. Of course, an attractive 場所/位置 WITH content deserves 賞賛する... as long as that pretty 直面する doesn't cost download time. In any 事例/患者....
