Other Photos of 地元の Humans and Their 足跡

These were 押し進めるd off the "Better Photos" page... but I hope you still find them 価値（がある） perusing. If you see one that you think should 取って代わる something on the Better Photos page, I'd love to hear your thought!

From time to time, we would enounter 地元の people きれいにする the day's catch from their gill 逮捕するs. It made an 平易な way to see the 利益／興味ing variety of what lived in the river... although I think the boy is wondering when he can have his fish 支援する, so he can finish きれいにする it. The lady 持つ／拘留するing the fish is one of our excellent guides from ジャングル探検隊／遠征隊s. 公式文書，認める also the beautifully made dugouts.

I wonder what this child made of our group? We met in Yarina, on the Tapiche.

This man was selling gourds in the （手先の）技術 market in Iquitos. The designs were やめる exquisite, and artistic. See the two squirrels in the 詳細（に述べる） at the lower left? And the bushmaster about to eat one of them?

The fish in the central 詳細（に述べる） along the 底（に届く） is the largest of all fresh water fish.

It is only fitting that ants (or are they termites?) get 代表するd: the two groups account for 30% of the 負わせる of living animal tissue in the area.

We didn't 会合，会う up with Paddington 耐える, or any of his 親族s, sadly, but somewhere 近づく here lives a family that Pooh 耐える would like to visit. You are looking at a honey bee nest which has been made a bit more human accessible. The 壇・綱領・公約 jutted over the river, about 9' above where the water was at the time we were there. (The water levels change かなり with the seasons.)

公式文書，認める how beautifully the dugout is carved. This one had more freeboard than many.

I'm pretty sure that this is Indiana, a little way 負かす／撃墜する river from Iquitos. The general "feel" of the parts of the river we visited was "empty", but such 解決／入植地s, while 分散させるd, were not unknown.

... it goes on （疑いを）晴らす, but comes up dark blue within an hour, and lasts perhaps 10 days. the same curandando who showed us this 工場／植物 also explained that 鎮圧するing lemon grass between your palms, and smearing it all over your 直面する and neck is a good insect repellant. One day, some children visiting the ethnobotanical garden weren't listening closely, and 混乱させるd the lemon grass and the source of the tattoo 次第に損なう....

When a part of our group 始める，決める out from a 解決／入植地 to go swimming on a nearby sandbar, a bunch of the 地元の kids 手配中の，お尋ね者 to go too.... so why not?

Dogs are people too!

As we passed people going about their lives, we were usually the 反対する of friendly 利益／興味.

Think of this little dugout as their bike. For 居住（者）s of the varsi forest, for part of the year, it will also be the only 代案／選択肢 "乾燥した，日照りの land" if they want to leave their house-on-stilts.

Getting ready to 始める，決める the gill 逮捕するs with which dinner is gathered.

Sorry... I 港／避難所't made my mind up as to which 刈る I like better. What do you think?

The 地元の boatsmith at work. The finished dugouts were usually of a high 基準, not 天然のまま.

One of our 十分な time Explorama guides, and one of the boys who guided us into the ジャングル. The child may not have 接近 to the internet, but he walks tall, and did a good 職業 of looking after us.

Amazing ドッキングする／減らす／ドックに入れる at Requena... 公式文書，認める the 規模 of the thing from the people shown in the inset. We saw nothing 類似の on the river. What it is here for, I do not know. 公式文書，認める the excellent design... this can be moved easily when, and it will, the river changes it's course.

近づく their ExplorNapo （軍の）野営地，陣営, Explorama has 設立するd and supports a 中心 for the 熟考する／考慮する of enthno-biology. 工場／植物s believed 有益な by the 伝統的な healers are 工場／植物d here, and knowledge and lore is collected. A 罰金 talk and demonstration was given in a large circular building. This is the 見解（をとる） straight up from the middle of the room, showing the rafters supported the ubiquitous palm leaf thatching. Although the photo looks "flat", you are looking 上向きs inside a 反対／詐欺.
