This page is about a ceiba tree. The picture above has been massaged to make the tree stand out from the forest.... but only the colors have been tweaked... the tree really does tower above its neighbors as you see in the photo.
The tree is on the Peruvian アマゾン, just NE of Iquitos. It is the "錨，総合司会者" of www.explorama.com's 高級な 退却／保養地, Ceiba 最高の，を越すs.
It is very difficult to 伝える how 広大な it is.... Just the epiphytes would 構成する a small woodland in different circumstances. I would GUESS-timate that the 支店s spread over a circle of at least 80' in 直径, 高さ in the 120' 地域... and I am trying to be 保守的な.
I've put out enquiries for 正確な 測定s from someone who may have them.
Below, you can see the base of the tree. The 黒人／ボイコット 示すs above the picture show you how wide the trunk is there, and the 示すs below show the extent of the butresses at the 高さ of our superb guide's chest. Compare the "little" tree just in 前線 of the ceiba with what you can see of the ceiba. Then notice that the "little" tree's trunk is as 厚い as Lucio's 長，率いる, and at least 25 feet high..
When you look up into the canopy of the tree, you see not only the tree but the コンビナート／複合体 community of epiphytes living on it, and the organisms living on them. This one tree would 供給する a lifetime's 熟考する／考慮する. Many of the epiphytes would be "large" 工場／植物s in any other 状況. 公式文書，認める that you can easily see at least two places where one type of epiphyte 中止するs to grow. It is likely that these 境界s are defined まず第一に／本来 by the 工場／植物's ability to balance the need to raise water with the rewards of 存在 above the other 工場／植物s 捜し出すing the sun. In the アマゾン, the fact that everyone is always eating and 存在 eaten is exceptionally （疑いを）晴らす. (特に to tourists who have forgotten their DEET around dusk!)

As 破滅的な as the photos of （疑いを）晴らす-cutting are, a different 脅し to the rainforest is also 重要な. 巨大（な）s like this magnificent ceiba are selectively culled. 確かな 種類 are selectively culled. You still see "rainforest" as you travel the river, but it is a poorer, 減らすd rainforest. Rare 種類 are ありふれた here, and ありふれた 種類 rare. Rubber trees grow at about 7 to the acre. Take a few of them out, and now the distance between any two remaining trees of a given 種類 may 妨げる pollination.
