Mac OS X port : estimation of needed 資源s
Because I'll have to return my 現在の devel machine next month (and probably stop coding waiting I can buy a new one), I did a short 在庫 : what are our 現在の 資源s for Mac port (おもに Aqua 見解／翻訳／版, without X11) ?Excepted the fact all are volunteers ( not a problem for me ), I 保持するd :
- for important events, we have to 支払う／賃金 for everything : travels, rooms, food ...
- some of us only have 最近の/訂正する 金物類／武器類 : means our Apple 金物類／武器類 is either outdated, or not 十分な
- our 資源s are very 限られた／立憲的な : Mac porting 事業／計画（する） has no money, and the way to receive 寄付s is very 複雑にするd, nor transparent either.
The number of 正規の／正選手 contributors is between 10 and 20. 現在／一般に いっそう少なく than 10 (don't know why 正確に／まさに)
A quick estimation let me think that, to really work comfortably and 改善する the 現在の dynamic, we would need (at least) :
2 Mac 小型の Intel ( 700 euros / mac 小型の ) for people doing builds and 代表するing us on important events, like Apple Expo Paris or 解答 Linux or LinuxTag ...etc : this is a more marketing than devel point, but we have such people, and they are doing a very 肯定的な work for the 事業／計画（する）.
3 Mac 調書をとる／予約する プロの／賛成の ( ~2000 euro / laptop ) for coders 現在／一般に working on G3 (or whorse .. ). Why laptops? This is the best to work using "hidden time" while travel from home to work e.g., using train, 計画（する） ..etc, or even to …に出席する a 会議／協議会
3 ADC Select 会員の地位s ( 500$ every ) : whe need to have an 注目する，もくろむ on code news, but the 金物類／武器類 割引 alone can 正当化する itself the need of the ADC !
+ some money to help developers for travels and food (to …に出席する the coming Mac porters 会合 in Hamburg .. e.g. )
Here is the 現在の status of what needs Mac OS X port to work in good 条件s.
The 現在の 量 is a lot, e.g. for one people, but this is ridiculous regarding the 客観的な : Apple market is exp losive, and it's market part is growing every day.
