Introduction
The Community 革新 Program Awards 委員会 is pleased to 発表する the 勝利者s of this year's contest. We were impressed by the 質 of the submissions and by the work 論証するd, and on に代わって of the OpenOffice.org Community, look 今後 to working with the Entrants.
There were four award levels, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honourable について言及する. We heartily congratulate everyone who won! We have only 指名するd the team leaders here and 悔いる that we were unable to fully 指名する all the team members at the time of this 告示 but in the coming week will 努力する／競う to publish 簡潔な／要約する interviews and photos of the 勝利者s. We will also try to keep 利益／興味 going in the work done. Finally, we hope that the successes 論証するd here by the contestants (and there were many) will excite other groups to 参加する in the next 競争. The 通貨の reward is 重要な, but we believe that the real 受益者 is the Community: We all 利益 from the work done in this program.
We 述べる the proces used below, and for each 部類 明言する／公表する how much cash, in US dollars, each 勝利者 was awarded by Sun Microsystems, out of the USD $175,000 allotted OpenOffice.org. (The 委員会 adjusted the sums to be given so those in the Gold/Silver/Bronze 部類s won more money than さもなければ 規定するd.) Discussion
The Program 委員会 followed the 準備／条項s of the Program 支配するs. We …に出席するd to the evaluations of the 事業／計画（する） Leads and also looked to community 参加 and the ways in which the 入ること／参加（者） 利益d the OpenOffice.org Community. In allotting prize money, at our discretion we 認めるd the Gold, Silver, Bronze 勝利者s more than was 明示するd in the 支配するs, as the work done 長所d it.
There were six 部類s of 利益／興味.
- Technical: 核心 code, 拡張s, ports
- Community: new methods of community 協調, new marketing 成果／努力s, artwork, and other 成果／努力s that 意味ありげに その上の OpenOffice.org use and 開発, or the efficiency and 有効性 of the Community
- 道具s: those that help the community build, 分配する, work on OpenOffice.org, 含むing 組織／基盤／下部構造 開発, localization 道具s, 同様に as a working 環境, 管理／経営 system, and other developer support
- OpenDocument 判型 (ODF): work that 前進するs ODF 開発, OpenOffice.org's 実施, or makes the ODF more accessible through the ODF Toolkit 事業／計画（する）
- Documentation: both enduser and developer documentation and/or training 構成要素s; articles on OpenOffice.org for developers or endusers
- Special: a catch-all 部類 to 服従させる／提出する innovative 入ること／参加（者）s that 意味ありげに その上の OpenOffice.org, its 使用／適用s and 事業／計画（する）s, and その上のs the Community as a whole
Entrants were 要求するd to 服従させる／提出する their work によれば the 部類 of their 利益／興味, and could only 服従させる／提出する an 入ること／参加（者） to one 部類. Our judgment 基準 were:
- Originality, which 含むs the nature of the problem 演説（する）／住所d and the innovative nature of the 入ること／参加（者）;
- The difficulty of the 入ること／参加（者）, which 含むs the nature of the problem 演説（する）／住所d and the difficulty in fashioning a 解答;
- The 現在の relevance of the 入ること／参加（者） to the OpenOffice.org Community, and its completeness;
- The extent to which the 入ること／参加（者） 供給するs 公共事業（料金）／有用性 to the Community either by 供給するing code that the Community uses and values or by fostering the Community's growth and 開発 or; and
- Community 参加 by the Entrant in developing the 入ること／参加（者）.
We congratulate the 勝利者s and 堅固に believe that this contest has 強化するd the Community and 延長するd its reach. We 心配する that in その後の years, we will see yet more 利益／興味ing and ambitious work.
