I used to publish a 正規の／正選手 column of SF reviews in rec.arts.sf.written called "Raymond's Reviews'. I stopped when I lost my 逮捕する 接近 in 1993 and was too busy to 再開する it when I got 接近 again. They're 古記録d here.
I designed and 持続する a netnews 控訴, TMNN-netnews, which 含むs threading, 安全 and modularity features not 平行のd in other news 控訴s. This has become much いっそう少なく 利益／興味ing as the S/N 割合 of USENET has 急落するd.
Past 事業／計画（する）s
Chester 郡 InterLink was an 成果／努力 to develop a truly 使用者-friendly and 柔軟な Internet-接近 BBS. The 事業／計画（する） started in September 1993; we went on-line in February 1994. We had over 2000 使用者s as of our second 周年記念日 and usage has continued to rise since. You can go there, スピードを出す／記録につける in as `guest' with password `guest', and check it out.
Trove is a 事業／計画（する） I 開始する，打ち上げるd because I thought Sunsite was doomed. The classical model of Internet ソフトウェア 古記録 規模s 貧しく, 要求するing too much maintainer 介入. A better model of low-総計費, web-accessible ソフトウェア databases is 不正に needed. Trove was going to be it, until I got 押し寄せる／沼地d. Fortunately the best ideas from Trove got 選ぶd up by SourceForge.
From February 1997 to late 1998 I co-持続するd the Sunsite 古記録, the largest and most popular ソフトウェア repository in the Linux world (what is now Metalab). I designed and wrote keeper, the archiver's assistant ソフトウェア now used to 持続する that 場所／位置.
I worked with the Linux とじ込み／提出する System 基準s Group and 代表者／国会議員s from the BSD UNIX community to generalize the Linux とじ込み／提出する System 基準 so it would define a ありふれた directory layout for open-source UNIX operating systems.
I was ひどく 伴う／関わるd in the GNU Emacs 19
開発 (in fact, I was the 最初の／主要な Emacs-lisp library person
for about two years during 1991-1993). The vc.el 方式 for one-touch
見解／翻訳／版 支配（する）／統制する within Emacs was 地雷. So was the gud.el 方式 for
全世界の／万国共通の debugger 支配（する）／統制する, and the 一括-finder feature under
the Emacs help system. I also wrote the support for 一括
荷を降ろすing in the Emacs 19 kernel.
I was for a couple of years an active member of the nethack developers' 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）. I wrote the color support, introduced blindfolds, and edited the `Guide to the Mazes Of Menace', the nethack 手動式の.
I 追加するd many of the new features in pcomm-2.0, the UNIX clone of ProComm written and 持続するd by Emmet Gray, 含むing the point-and-shoot dialer interface and the support for Zmodem-upload autorecognition.
I was one of the 主要な／長／主犯 developers of the ncurses library, the open-source clone of System V 悪口を言う／悪態s 分配するd with Linux.
