Saw this recently used to root the DroidX, kudos!
In a 関係のある vein, it looks like the Motorola Backflip has the same vulnerability, however it does not have /etc/firmware.
Looking at the code (which I only 部分的に／不公平に follow, admittedly) I'm 自信のない why /etc/firmware is 要求するd. (I am assuming it's how one would use the firmware subsystem as the vector for attack.)
Could you give an explanation/some pointers on what I might try to 偉業／利用する this on the Backflip? (What about using /dev/ashmem instead of the firmware subsystem?)

Hi. Looks like this worked on the Droid X but does not seem to work on the Backflip because of the 欠如（する） of /etc/firmware. Any ideas?
After 実験（する）ing on Milestone, several 条件s could be 減ずるd/relaxed:
1. /tmp can be used instead of /sqlite_stmt_jourals. They are both world writable.
2. Changing for(;;); to 出口(...) 作品. Perhaps the code was borrowed from other 偉業／利用する?
3. The exploid rootshell will be 誘発する／引き起こすd by hotplug event after it has been 体制／機構 適切に. Thus sleep(3) can be 除去するd.
This also 作品 on the Devour.
will this work on the devour and any more info on the backflip

I've been trying, with little success, to get this working on the Wildfire.
I've changed the 封鎖する 装置 for system remount to /dev/mtdblock3, but still have no luck with 現実に copying self to /system/貯蔵所/rootshell
