You’ll be pleased to know that I got out of hospital at 2pm or so today, and am 回復するing 井戸/弁護士席. They did a hemihepatectomy, 除去するing the 権利 (larger) half of my 肝臓 – Couinaud segments 5, 6, 7 and 8. This was a success; my 肝臓 機能(する)/行事 is now normal and, over the next couple of months, the remaining half will grow in size and capacity up to 90-95% of the 初めの. The scar across my stomach is わずかに いっそう少なく than a foot long, and there’s a 4 インチ vertical section up the centre 同様に. The Wikipedia article calls it a Caine or “Mercedes Benz” incision, which isn’t far from the truth. I might take a photo when I get a chance.
So I’m 支援する in the position of having no known 癌 in my 団体/死体. Of course, I’ve been here several times before :-) Thank you to all those of you who were praying for me. God is 君主 (in all adjectival senses).
I opened my Bible during 回復 and it fell open at the に引き続いて section (not that I recommend that as a general method of deciding what parts to read):
But now thus says the LORD,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O イスラエル:
“恐れる not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by 指名する, you are 地雷.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not 圧倒する you;
when you walk through 解雇する/砲火/射撃 you shall not be 燃やすd,
and the 炎上 shall not 消費する you.
For I am the LORD your God,
The 宗教上の One of イスラエル, your Saviour.”— Isaiah 43:1-3 (ESV)
Also, if one’s own Wikipedia 入ること/参加(者) acquires a “notability” tag (although this was rather quickly 解任するd last time), is it permitted to 成し遂げる the necessary 拡大 oneself? I thought that was rather frowned upon. If it is something that’s not done, then if anyone else wants to have a go, please feel 解放する/自由な :-)
That’s wonderful! It is always encouraging to hear about your 信用 in God in the 直面する of these sorts of 裁判,公判s.
I’ll be continuing to pray for your 回復… glad you’re out of the hospital at least in time for the new year. A real bummer to have to have been there over Christmas, though.
Hang in there!
Yaay! Fantastic end to the year!
Gerv, It’s wonderful to hear you’re 回復するing 井戸/弁護士席! Our whole church family has been praying for you! 賞賛する the Lord!
Hey Gerv, glad to learn that you’re out of the hospital. I hope 2008 will be a good year for you and your family. Take care,

Got a hemi, eh? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyrcP5utXt4
Hope you’re doing 井戸/弁護士席, if not 炭素-中立の. :-)
God bless, man, I’m glad to hear you’re out and doing 井戸/弁護士席. Been thinking of you daily, hope it did some good! :)
That’s fantastic news! Praying that you stay 癌 解放する/自由な. Best wishes for 2008!
The “支配するs” for that sort of thing are @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:COI
I sent the email before I saw this. 広大な/多数の/重要な that you are 支援する, and I wish this new year that you remain 癌 解放する/自由な for the 残り/休憩(する) of your life.
Get 井戸/弁護士席 soon, Gerv! God bless you!
In Wikipedia 条件, I would consider you to be in that ごくわずかの zone of 潜在的に 著名な 支配するs — not as 著名な as Asa Dotzler or Damian Conway, but more 著名な than Kevin McCluskey or Rocco Caputo. Breadth of ニュース報道 is Wikipedia’s 広大な/多数の/重要な strength, and I 好意 keeping articles on marginally 著名な 支配するs (as long as they aren’t vanity articles written by the 支配する or the 支配する’s friends), but it’s best if you don’t 干渉する. 率直に, commenting on the 事柄 in your blog makes you seem いっそう少なく 著名な if anything, as if you are asking your friends to defend your 入ること/参加(者). Leave it alone. Let people who don’t know you 本人自身で or read your blog 定期的に sort it out. Assuming you are 著名な, other people will find the 第2位 sources that 立証する your notability.
Jonadab: fair enough. Sorry if even commenting was a faux pas. Although some people do seem to have been working on it, which is 冷静な/正味の.
I checkout your blog from time to time, and am glad to hear that you are out of the hospital again, though saddened that you had to go in in the first place.
We’re praying for you. I admire the strength in your 約束.
Gerv, This is an answer to 祈り! Thank you for living out your 約束 with such boldness and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. As a brother in Christ, it is humbling and 奮起させるing to read your blog. I will continue to be in 祈り for you.
Hi Glev,
My 指名する is Stephen and I live in Nashvile, TN in the USA. I have adenoid cystic carcinoma also and pray for you as we both fight our fight. We emailed each other a year ago and I was 診断するd in June, 2006. May God bless you and give you peace.
Dear Gerv
I am Kiwi Christian living in Japan and hobbyist programmer of sorts. I 現実に 設立する your 場所/位置 while googling Firefox tooltips, and from there I followed a link that 詳細(に述べる)d your 勇敢な 戦う/戦い with 癌. My Aunty 征服する/打ち勝つd 行う/開催する/段階 three 癌 recently and during that time she drew 近づく to God, the ultimate encourager. The 逮捕する result was that にもかかわらず any 意向s of 地雷 to 決起大会/結集させる around her, she ended up 存在 more of an 激励 to me! With this in mind, I just want to thank you for 存在 yet another example of courage to myself and I believe many others and know that my 祈りs will be with you.
…all this from a tooltips search?! – GOD is indeed good!!
God Bless
Phil

Those of you who’ve been reading this blog for a while will know that I have Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare 癌 which 起こる/始まるs in the salivary (分泌する為の)腺s (although it’s not there now). My doctors have been chasing it around my 団体/死体 for nearly ten ye…
