The 大統領 of the 法廷,裁判所 認めるs leave to the 明言する/公表する 検察官,検事, Comrade A. Y. Vyshinsky, 明言する/公表する 弁護士/代理人/検事 of the U.S.S.R., to 演説(する)/住所 the 法廷,裁判所.
SPEECH FOR THE PROSECUTION
Vyshinski: Comrades 裁判官s, comrades members of the 軍の Collegium of the 最高裁判所 of the Soviet Union: For three days you have very carefully and with the greatest attention 診察するd the 証拠 and proof submitted to you by the 明言する/公表する 起訴 against the people sitting here in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d with having committed the gravest 罪,犯罪s against the 明言する/公表する. With the greatest possible care you have 支配するd to 調査 and judicial scrutiny every one of these proofs, every fact, every event, every step taken by the (刑事)被告, who in the course of many years 追加するd 罪,犯罪 to 罪,犯罪 in their struggle against the Soviet 明言する/公表する, against the Soviet 力/強力にする, against our Party and against the whole of our Soviet people.

Andrei Vyshinsky (1883-1954), 検察官,検事. Vyshinsky was also 代表者/国会議員 for the Soviet Union in the 国際連合 1946-49. |
Horrible and monstrous is the chain of these 罪,犯罪s against our 社会主義者 fatherland; and each one of these 罪,犯罪s deserves the severest 激しい非難 and severest 罰. Horrible and monstrous is the 犯罪 of these 犯罪のs and 殺害者s, who raised their 手渡す against the leaders of our Party, against Comrades Stalin, Voroshilov, Zhdanov, Kaganovich, Orjonikidze, Kossior and Postyshev, against our leaders, the leaders of the Soviet 明言する/公表する. Monstrous are the 罪,犯罪s (罪などを)犯すd by this ギャング(団) wich not only made 準備s to commit terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs, but 現実に 殺人d one of the best sons of the working class, one of the most 充てるd to the 原因(となる) of 社会主義, one of the most beloved disciples of the 広大な/多数の/重要な Stalin, the fiery tribune of the proletarian 革命, the unforgettable Sergel Mironovich Kirov.
But monstrous as these 罪,犯罪s are, and however profoundly we may have been stirred and digusted by this nightmare of horrible 罪,犯罪, you, comrades 裁判官s, as に適するs a Soviet 法廷,裁判所 and Soviet 司法(官), have been 重さを計るing and appraising very calmy the facts which (機の)カム before you in 関係 with the 犯罪の activities of these persons whose 指名するs have long ago been covered with contempt and 不名誉 in the 注目する,もくろむs of the whole people.
We have now come to the end of our judicial 訴訟/進行s. We are making the final 要約. We are 製図/抽選 our last deductions in 準備, within a few hours, perhaps, to hear your 判決, the 判決 of the 法廷,裁判所 of the land of Soviets which 需要・要求するs and 推定する/予想するs from you a just, unfaltering and implacably 厳しい 決定/判定勝ち(する) 関心ing the 運命/宿命 of these people, these contemptible 殺害者s, these vile and insolent enimies of the land of Soviets,of the Soviet people.
We are building a new, 社会主義者 society, a new, Soviet 明言する/公表する, under the difficult 条件s of class struggle, まっただ中に the fierse 抵抗 of the last 残余s of the 偉業/利用するing classes which we have 大勝するd and utterly 鎮圧するd.
Every step in our 進歩 is …を伴ってd by desperate 抵抗 on the part of our enemies who rouse against us all the 軍隊s of the old world, all the filth, all the scum of the old society, who 動員する and throw into the struggle against us the most 犯罪の, the most 常習的な, the most incorrigible, decayed and dishonest elements.
Lenin taught us that "there has never been a 選び出す/独身 深い and mighty popular movement in history without filthy scum,"[1] without the bourgeois and petty-bourgeois element flighting against the Soviet 政府, and 訴える手段/行楽地ing not only to the methods of the Savinkovs, the Gotzes, the Gegechkoris and Kornilovs, of 陰謀(を企てる)s and 反乱s, of floods of lies and 名誉き損,中傷, but also 利用するing all the elements of decay, and 乗る,着手するing upon every possible sordin and shameful 罪,犯罪.
Comrade Stalin 警告するd us that:
"We must 耐える in mind that the growth of the 力/強力にする of the Soviet 明言する/公表する will 増加する the 抵抗 of the last 残余s of the dying classes. It is 正確に because they are dying, and living their last days that they will pass from one form of attack to another, to 詐欺師 forms of attack, 控訴,上告ing to the backward strata of the 全住民, and 動員するing them against the Soviet 力/強力にする. There is no foul 嘘(をつく) or 名誉き損,中傷 that these 'have-beens' would not use against the Soviet 力/強力にする and around which they would not try to 動員する the backward elements. This may give ground for the 復活 of the activities of the 敗北・負かすd groups of the old 反対する-革命の parties: the 社会主義者-革命のs, the Mensheviks, the bourgeois 国家主義者s in the centre and in the 辺ぴな 地域s; it may give grounds also for the 復活 of the activities of the fragments of 反対する-革命の 対立 elements from の中で the Trotskyites and the 権利 deviationists. Of course, there is nothing terrible in this. But we must 耐える all this in mind if we want to put an end to these elements quickly and without 広大な/多数の/重要な loss."[2]
Three years ago Comrade Stalin not only foretold the 必然的な 抵抗 of elements 敵意を持った to the 原因(となる) of 社会主義, but also foretold the 可能性 of the 復活 of Trotskyite 反対する-革命の groups. This 裁判,公判 has fully and distinctly 証明するd the 広大な/多数の/重要な 知恵 of this 予測(する).
The "heroes" of this 裁判,公判 have linked their 運命/宿命 with the 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員s, with the スパイ/執行官s of secret-police departments; these "heroes" have lost all scruples and gone to the uttermost 限界s of duplicity and deceit, elevated perfidy and treachery to a system, to the 法律 of their struggle against the Soviet 明言する/公表する.
This 裁判,公判 has 完全に 明らかにする/漏らすd and has once again 証明するd how 広大な/多数の/重要な and boundless is the 激怒(する) and 憎悪 of our enemies toward the 広大な/多数の/重要な 原因(となる) of 社会主義; this 裁判,公判 has shown how insignificant are these enemies who 急ぐd headling from one 罪,犯罪 to another. A contemptible, insignificant, impotent group of trailors and 殺害者s thought that by means of their sordid 罪,犯罪s they could 原因(となる) the heart of our 広大な/多数の/重要な people to 中止する to (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域! This contemptible, insignificant group of adventurers tried with their mud-stained feet to trample upon the most fragant flowers in our 社会主義者 garden.
These mad dogs of capitalism tried to 涙/ほころび 四肢 from 四肢 the best of the best of our Soviet land. They killed one of the men of the 革命 who was most dear to us, that admirable and wonderful man, 有望な and joyous as the smile on his lips was always 有望な and joyous, as our new life is 有望な and joyous. Thy killed our Kirov; they 負傷させるd us の近くに to our very heart. They thought they could (種を)蒔く 混乱 and びっくり仰天 in our 階級s.
To the 殺害者s' 背信の 発射 of December 1, 1934, the whole country replied with 全員一致の execration. The whole country, millions and tens of millions of people, were 誘発するd and once again 証明するd their 団結, their まとまり, their 忠義 to the 広大な/多数の/重要な 旗,新聞一面トップの大見出し/大々的に報道する of the Party of Lenin-Stalin. The land of Soviets rose up like an unshakable, アイロンをかける 塀で囲む in defence of its leaders, its guides, for every hair of whose 長,率いるs these 犯罪の madmen will ansver with their lives. In this boundless love of millions of toilers for our Party, for its central 委員会, and for our Stalin and his glorious Comrades -in-武器, in this infinite love of the people lies the strength of the defence and 保護 of our leaders, the guides of our country and Party, against 反逆者s, 殺害者s and 強盗団の一味.
Our 広大な/多数の/重要な fatherland is joyously 繁栄するing and growing. The fields of innumerable 集団の/共同の farms are rich with a golden 収穫. Thousands of new 社会主義者, Stakhanov factories and 作品 are pulsating with life. Harmoniously and wonderfully our 鉄道s are working for the 福利事業 of our fatherland, and from end to end of the country Krivonoss 乗客 and freight trains are スピード違反 over the glistening 略章s of steel. 会社/堅い as granite stands our Red Army, surrounded with the love of the people, guarding the frontiers of our native land. The 指名するs of our wonderful Bolsheviks, the tireless and gifted 建設業者s of our 明言する/公表する - Sergo Orjonikidze, Klim Voroshilov, Lazar Moisseyevich Kaganovich, the leaders of the Ukrainian Bolsheviks - Kossior and Postyshev, and the leader of the Leningrad Bolsheviks, Zhdanov, are 近づく and dear to the hearts of us and all those who are filled with filial love for their motherland. With 広大な/多数の/重要な and unsurpassed love, the toilers of the whole world utter the 指名する of the 広大な/多数の/重要な teacher and leader of the peoples of the U.S.S.R. - Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin!
Under the leadership of the Soviet 政府 and our Party, 長,率いるd by Stalin, 社会主義 has finally and irrevocably 勝利d in our country. Under the leadership of our Party the proletariat of our country took the 器具/実施するs and means of 生産/産物 from the 資本主義者s, 廃止するd the 資本主義者 system which is based on 私的な 所有物/資産/財産, on 開発/利用, on poverty and slavery.
Under the leadership of our Party and the Soviet 政府 the peoples of the U.S.S.R. brought about the 広大な/多数の/重要な industrialization of our contry, 増加するd its means of 生産/産物 tenfold, multiplied its 国家の wealth and その為に created the 条件s for a happy and joyous life for all the toilers of the Soviet land of 社会主義.The victory of 社会主義 is first and 真っ先の the victory of our own Bolshevik Party, of its Leninist-Stalinist general line, of its Leninist-Stalinist leadership, of its Central 委員会, 長,率いるd by the 広大な/多数の/重要な Stalin.
On the basis of these victories there has been created the indestructible union of all the toilers for the その上の 増強 and 開発 of 社会主義; there has been created and 固く結び付けるd the union and friendship of all the peoples of the U.S.S.R. for the building of 社会主義, for defence against our enemies, against the enemies of 社会主義. These victories have 完全に changed the entire 直面する of our country, which has been raised to an 前例のない level of 経済的な and cultural 開発.
These victories have brought the working class of the U.S.S.R. enormous 改良 in their 構成要素 井戸/弁護士席-存在. It is now many years since 失業 has been 除去するd and the seven-hour day, against which the "heroes" now in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる always 断固としてやる and treacherously fought, has been introduced. Our country has 達成するd 前例のない successes, impossible in any 資本主義者 country, in developing a new, really human, 社会主義者 culture.
These victories have brought our whole country, every factory 労働者 and 集団の/共同の 農業者, every office 労働者 and 知識人, a happy and a 井戸/弁護士席-to-do life. And these victories are the 保証(人) of the まとまり of all the Soviet people with our 政府, with our Party and with its Central 委員会. Are not the wide,集まり, popular 会議/協議会s, 考えられる only in our contry, of the 主要な people of our factories and 作品, of our 輸送(する) system, of our cotton and sugar beet fields, of live-在庫/株 子孫を作る人s, of 連合させる and tractor drivers, of Stakhanovites and Krivonossites with the leaders of the Party and the 政府 the best proof of this indestructible, 本物の まとまり and 団結 of 集まりs of the people with the 広大な/多数の/重要な Stalin, with our Central 委員会, with our Soviet 政府? This is a manifestation of 本物の Soviet, true 僕主主義! And is not the mighty wave of popular wrath, now 広範囲にわたる from one end of the country to the other against these despicable 殺害者s, a striking 証拠 of this まとまり?
The Trotskyite-Zinovievite Centre - A ギャング(団) of Contemptible テロリストs
During the 先行する days of the 裁判,公判 these gentlemen tried to strike a "noble" 態度. They, or at all events their leaders, spoke about their terroristic 陰謀(を企てる) with a 確かな 提起する/ポーズをとる; they sought and 推定する/予想するd a political evaluation of their 罪,犯罪s, they talked about political struggle, about some 肉親,親類d of political 協定s with some 肉親,親類d of 申し立てられた/疑わしい 政党s. And although they 認める that in reality they had no political 壇・綱領・公約, that they did not even feel the need to draw up a political 壇・綱領・公約 because, on their own admission, their 壇・綱領・公約 could be written at one sitting, in a couple of hours, にもかかわらず, they tried to 提起する/ポーズをとる as 本物の political 人物/姿/数字s. They do all they can to make it appear that they are standing on some political position, bespattered and 乱打するd, perhaps, but political 非,不,無 the いっそう少なく. These 成果/努力s are 単に a 誤った 審査する to 隠す their political emptiness and 欠如(する) of 原則. And when they spoke about the 利益/興味s of the working class, about the 利益/興味s of the people, when they will speak about this, in their speeches in their defence and in their last 嘆願s, they will 嘘(をつく) as they have lied hitherto, as they are lying now, for they fought against the only people's 政策, against the 政策 of our country, against our Soviet 政策. Liars and clowns, insignificant pigmies, little dogs snarling at an elephant, this is what this ギャング(団) 代表するs!
But they know how to use guns, and therein lies the danger to society. This makes it necessary to 可決する・採択する special and most 厳しい 対策 against them. To chain them is not enough. We must 可決する・採択する more 決定するd and 過激な 対策 against them. Not political 人物/姿/数字s, but a ギャング(団) of 殺害者s and 犯罪のs, thieves who tried to 略奪する the 明言する/公表する, this is what this ギャング(団) 代表するs!
These gentlemen 認める that they had no program; but they did have some sort of a "program." They had a program both in home and 外交政策. In their home 政策 their program could be put in one word - to 殺人. It is true that they prefer to speak not of 殺人 but of terror. But we must call things by their proper 指名するs. These gentlemen chose 殺人 as a means of fighting for 力/強力にする. They were compelled to 収容する/認める this here themselves, cynically and 率直に.
How did these gentlemen reconcile their 申し立てられた/疑わしい Marxism with the preaching of terror and terroristic activity? In no wise! And yet these people called themselves Marxists at one time! Probably the (刑事)被告 Zinoviev still considers himself a Marxist. He said here that Marxism could not be reconciled with テロ行為; but Marxism can explain how they (機の)カム to テロ行為.
During this 裁判,公判 I asked the (刑事)被告 Reingold how they reconciled Marxism with the preaching of terror and terroristic activities, and he said: "In 1932, Zinoviev, in Kamenev's apartment, in the presence of a number of members of the 部隊d Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre, argued in favour of 訴える手段/行楽地ing to terror as follows: although terror is 相いれない with Marxism, at the 現在の moment these conciderations must be abandoned. There are no other methods 利用できる of fighting the leaders of the Party and the 政府 at the 現在の time. Stalin 連合させるs in himself all the strength and firmness of the Party leadership. Therefore Stalin must be put out of the way in the first place." Here you have a reply, 率直に 冷笑的な, insolent, but 絶対 論理(学)の. Here you have the sum and 実体 of Zinoviev's new "philosophy of the 時代."
Reingold said: "Kamenev 大きくするd on this theory and said that the former methods of fighting, すなわち, 試みる/企てるs to 勝利,勝つ the 集まりs combinations with the leaders of the 右翼の人s, and banking on 経済的な difficulties, have failed. That is why the only method of struggle 利用できる is テロ行為, terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs against Stalin and his closest comrades-in-武器, Voroshilov, Kaganovich, Orjonikidze, Kossior, Postyshev and Zhdanov,"
This is frank and insolent, but at the same time it is 論理(学)の from the point of 見解(をとる) of the logic of the class struggle, from the point of 見解(をとる) of the logic of our enemy who is fighting against the land of 社会主義.
Without the 集まりs, against the 集まりs, but for 力/強力にする, 力/強力にする at all costs, かわき for personal 力/強力にする - this is the whole ideology of the ギャング(団) that is now in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる.
The whole 冷笑的な unprincipledness of these people was 率直に avowed here by Kamenev. In his explanations before the 法廷,裁判所 he 明言する/公表するd how and on what basis this terroristic 共謀, as he called it, was 組織するd.
Kamenev said: "I became 納得させるd that the 政策 of the Party, the 政策 of its leadership, had been 勝利を得た in the only sense in which the political victory in the land of 社会主義 is possible, that this 政策 was 認めるd by the 集まりs of the toilers."
This 声明 is remarkable for its 欠如(する) of 原則 and for its insolent cynicism: just because "the 政策 of the Party had been vicorious," they fought against its leaders.
Kamenev said: "Our banking on the 可能性 of a 分裂(する) in the Party also 証明するd groundless, Two paths remained: either honestly and 完全に to put a stop to the struggle against the Party, or to continue this struggle, but without any hope of 得るing any 集まり support どれでも, without a political 壇・綱領・公約, without a 旗,新聞一面トップの大見出し/大々的に報道する, that is to say, by means of individual terror. We chose the second path."
The (刑事)被告 Kamenev should have been more 一貫した: if he called the first path the path of honest renunciation of the struggle, then he should have called the second path the path of dishonest struggle with dishonest 武器s.
He 認める: "We chose this second path. In this we were guided by our boundless 憎悪 of the leaders of the Party and the country, and by a かわき for 力/強力にする, with wich we were once closely associated and from which we were cast aside by the course of historical 開発."
The (刑事)被告 Zinoviev said: "At the end of 1932 it became evident that our hopes had 証明するd 誤った . . . the fact was that the general line of the Party was winning." "Here," said Zinoviev, "the 完全にする 欠如(する) of 原則 and ideals which brought us to the 明らかにする and unprincipled struggle for 力/強力にする became strikingly 明らかな." (Vol. XII, p. 34.)
After this, can we speak with these people in any sort of political language? Have we not the 権利 to say that we can speak with these people in one language only, the language of the 犯罪の Code, and regard them as ありふれた 犯罪のs, as incorrigible and 常習的な 殺害者s.
Such was their "program" in the sphere of home 政策, if one may so 表明する it. 以前は, if only out of shame, they gave as grounds for their struggle against the leaders of the Soviet 政府 and the Party, shortcomings, defects and difficulties. Now they have already thrown off this mask. Now they 収容する/認める that they had become 納得させるd that 社会主義 in our country was 勝利を得た. They (機の)カム to テロ行為, to 殺人, because their position had become hopeless, because they realized that they were 孤立するd from 力/強力にする, from the working class. They (機の)カム to テロ行為 because of the 完全にする absence of favourable prospects for them in the fight for 力/強力にする by other methods and by other means.
Kamenev 認める that the organization of terror was the only means by which they hoped to come to 力/強力にする and that it was 正確に on this basis of terroristic struggle that 交渉s which finally resulted in the union of the Trotskyites and Zinovievites were 行為/行うd and 首尾よく 結論するd. テロ行為 was the real basis on which the Trotskyites and Zinovievites 部隊d.
Not all of them want to 収容する/認める that.
Comrades 裁判官s, in 製図/抽選 up your 判決 in your 会議 議会, you will carefully - I have no doupt about that - once again go over not only the 構成要素 of the 法廷,裁判所 調査 but also the 記録,記録的な/記録するs of the 予選 調査 and you will become 納得させるd of the animal 恐れる with which the (刑事)被告 tried to 避ける admitting that テロ行為 was 正確に the basis of their 犯罪の activities.
That is why Smirnov wriggled so much here. He 収容する/認めるs that he was a member of the centre, he 収容する/認めるs that this centre had 可決する・採択するd a terroristic line of struggle, he 収容する/認めるs that he himself received from Trotsky the 指示/教授/教育s about this terroristic struggle. But at the same time he tries by every means in his 力/強力にする to 証明する that he, Smirnov 本人自身で, did not 可決する・採択する terror, did not agree with it, and he even went so far as to say that he had left the Trotskyite-Zinovievite テロリスト centre or 圏.
I will come 支援する to each one of the (刑事)被告, 含むing Smirnov, and try as fully, carefully and objectively as possible to 分析する the 証拠 which 証明するs that they committed the gravest 罪,犯罪s against the 明言する/公表する. At 現在の I 単に wish to 強調する once again that the (刑事)被告 are not political 幼児s, that they are 常習的な players in the political struggle; they know perfectly 井戸/弁護士席 that they must answer not only for 認めるing terror "theoretically" - for this alone they should have paid with their 長,率いるs - but for having translated this "theoretical" program into the language of terroristic practice, into the language of practical, 犯罪の activity.
Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev - Sworn Enimies of the Soviet Union
Terror was the basis of all their activities, it was the basis of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite union. This was やめる 全員一致で 証言するd to by people who were not 直接/まっすぐに connected with each other in their 地下組織の work. This was not only 認める here by Zinoviev and Kamenev, Smirnov and Ter-Vaganyan, Reingold and Pickel; it was 明言する/公表するd also by Berman-Yurin, Fritz David and Valentine Olberg, that peculiar 国民 of the 共和国 of Honduras, paid スパイ/執行官 of Trotsky and 同時に of the German secret police - the Gestapo.
All these persons, under the 負わせる of 証拠 against them, could no longer 否定する and had to 収容する/認める that the main, in fact the only means of struggle against the Soviet 政府 and the Party which 部隊d their 犯罪の activity was terror, 殺人.
Reingold said: "The Trotskyites and all the members of the 圏 主張するd and agreed on this." It was 正確に the 除去 through 暴力/激しさ of the leaders of the C.P.S.U. and the Soviet 政府 that was the 根底となる 目的(とする) of this Trotskyite-Zinovievite 圏, which can be やめる 公正に/かなり called, as I called it in the 起訴,告発, an 協会 of political 暗殺者s.
These terroristic 感情s which formed the basis of the organization of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite 圏 in 1932-36 were perhaps most distinctly and characteristically 表明するd by the (刑事)被告 Mrachkovsky, who 明言する/公表するd both at the 予選 調査 and at this 裁判,公判:
"Hopes for the 崩壊(する) of the 政策 of the Party must be regarded as doomed. The methods of struggle 適用するd up to now have not produced 肯定的な results. Only one path of struggle remained, and that was the path of 除去するing by 暴力/激しさ the leaders of the Party and the 政府."
Mrachkovsky said: "The 主要な/長/主犯 仕事 is to put Stalin and the other leaders of the Party and the 政府 out of the way."
All their bestial 激怒(する) and 憎悪 were directed against the leaders of our Party, against the Political Bureau of the Central Committe, against Comrade Stalin, against his glorious comrades-inarms.
It was upon them, 長,率いるd by Comrade Stalin, that the main 重荷(を負わせる) of the struggle against the Zinovievite-Trotskyite 地下組織の organization lay. It was under their leadership, under the leadership of Comrade Stalin, that 広大な/多数の/重要な executor and keeper of Lenin's will and testament, that the 反対する-革命の Trotskyite organization was 大勝するd. It was under their leadership, まっただ中に 猛烈な/残忍な 戦う/戦いs against Trotskyite 反対する-革命 that Trotskyite 反対する-革命 was finally 鎮圧するd.
In the fighting against this Trotskyite 反対する-革命, Comrade Stalin developed and undeviatingly carried out Lenin's teachings on the building of 社会主義 in our country, having 武装した the 広大な millions of 労働者s and 集団の/共同の 農業者s with these teachings.
That is why the Trotskyites and Zinovievites, 同様に as the other most frenzied 反対する-revolutionry elements, concentrated all their 成果/努力s and their 憎悪 and 激怒(する) against 社会主義 on the leaders of our Party. That is why in March 1932, in a fit 反対する-革命の fury, Trotsky burst out in an open letter with an 控訴,上告 to "put Stalin out of the way" (this letter was 設立する between the 二塁打 塀で囲むs of Holtzman's 控訴 事例/患者 and 人物/姿/数字d as an 展示(する) in this 事例/患者).
Trotsky 演説(する)/住所d this despicable 控訴,上告 with still greater frankness to number of his diciples abroad whom he had 新採用するd as 暗殺者s to be sent to the U.S.S.R. for the 目的 of 組織するing terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs and 試みる/企てるs on the lives of the leaders of our Soviet 明言する/公表する and our Party. This was 関係のある in 詳細(に述べる) here by the (刑事)被告 Fritz David. he 明言する/公表するd that in November 1932 he had a conversation with Trotsky during which Trotsky said literally the に引き続いて: "Now there is no other way out except the 除去 by 暴力/激しさ of Stalin and his adherents. Terror against Stalin - that is the 革命の 仕事. Whoever is a 革命の - his 手渡す will not tremble." (Vol. VIII, p. 62.) For this 目的 Trotsky 新採用するd high-strung persons, impressing upon them that they must commit this 反対する-革命の 行為/法令/行動する as if it were some sort of "historic 使節団."
Berman-Yurin 証言するd here that Trotsky systematically and 繰り返して said: "Until Stalin is 除去するd by 暴力/激しさ, there will be no possibillity of changing the 政策 of the Party; in the fight against Stalin we must not hesitate to 可決する・採択する extreme 対策 - Stalin must be 肉体的に destroyed."
Fritz David and Berman-Yurin discussed with Trotsky the 暗殺 of Stalin. They 受託するd Trotsky's (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 and took a number of practical steps to carry it out. Does not this in itself deserve the sternest 罰 供給するd for by our 法律 - death by 狙撃?
Fritz David, Berman-Yurin, Reingold, V. Olberg, and I. N. Smirnov himself have in fact utterly exposed Trotsky's 役割 in this 事柄. Even Smirnov, who stubbornly 否定するd that he took any part in the terroristic activities of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre, could not help admitting that he 本人自身で had received the directions on individual terror against the leaders of the Soviet 政府 and the C.P.S.U. in 1931 from Trotsky's son, Sedov, that these directions on terror were 確認するd by Trotsky in 1932 in the 指示/教授/教育s brought from abroad by Gaven and 伝えるd to Smirnov. Smirnov tried to 緩和する the gravity of his own position by 明言する/公表するing that the 指示/教授/教育 on terror which he had received from Sedov was Sedov's personal 態度. But this is a worthless explanation. It is obvious to everyone that Sedov was no 当局 whatever for Smirnov. Ter-Vaganyan and Mrachkovsky 確認するd this here when they said that had they thought that the direction on terror (機の)カム from Sedov they would have spat upon it with 最高の contempt.
The (刑事)被告 Ter-Vaganyan, one of the 主要な/長/主犯 組織者s of the 部隊d centre, 確認するd that Smirnov, while abroad, really did receive from Trotsky 指示/教授/教育s to 可決する・採択する terror. Ter-Vaganyan 単に 隠すd his 証拠 by 代用品,人ing for the word terror the phrase: "sharp struggle against the leaders of the C.P.S.U." Later, however, he had to decipher this and to 収容する/認める that these were 指示/教授/教育s, the content of which was テロ行為 and テロ行為 alone.
Finally, you heard the 証言,証人/目撃する Safonova whose 対決 with the (刑事)被告 has probably left a 深い impression upon the memories of everyone 現在の in this 法廷,裁判所. At this 対決, Safonova, whose 事例/患者 is 存在 taken up 分かれて because the 調査 is still continuing, fully 確認するd that Smirnov received from Trotsky 指示/教授/教育s on individual terror through Sedov in 1931, and later through Gaven.
On the basis of these facts we can take it as 絶対 設立するd that it was 正確に Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育s on テロ行為 that served as the basis for the 開発 of the terroristic activities of the 部隊d centre. Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育s to 組織する a 部隊d centre and to 可決する・採択する テロ行為 were 受託するd by the Trotskyite 地下組織の organization. Zinoviev and Kamenev, the leaders of the Zinovievite section of the 圏, arrived at the same idea and also 受託するd Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育s as the basis of the activities of the 部隊d centre and 地下組織の organizations.
These bitter and ingrained enemies could not look calmly on the growing 繁栄 of our people, of our country, which had 現れるd の上に the highroad of 社会主義.
The U.S.S.R. is 達成するing victory. The U.S.S.R. is building 社会主義, in the U.S.S.R. 社会主義 is 勝利を得た, and because of that their 憎悪 に向かって the Central Committe, に向かって Stalin and the 政府 to whom the country 借りがあるs this victory, of whom the country is proud, grows more and more.
From their 暗い/優うつな 暗黒街 Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev 問題/発行する the despicable call: Put out of the way, kill! The 地下組織の 機械/機構 begins to work, knives are sharpened, revolvers are 負担d,爆弾s are 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d, 誤った 文書s are written and 捏造する,製作するd, secret 関係s are 設立するd with the German political police, people are sent to their 地位,任命するs, they engage in revolver practice, and finally they shoot and kill.
That is the main thing! The 反対する-革命のs not only dream of terror, they not only 工夫する 計画(する)s for a terroristic 陰謀(を企てる), or for terroristic 試みる/企てるs, they not only 準備する to commit these foul 罪,犯罪s, they commit them, they shoot and kill!
The main thing in this 裁判,公判 is that they transformed their 反対する-革命の thoughts into 反対する-革命の 行為s, their 反対する-革命の theory into 反対する-革命の terroristic practice; they not only talk about 狙撃, they shoot, shoot and kill!
That is the main thing. They killed Comrade Kirov, they were getting ready to kill Comrades Stalin, Voroshilov, Kaganovich, Orjonikidze, Zhdanov, Kossior and Postyshev. This is what we are trying these people for, these 組織者s of secret 殺人, these certified 殺害者s.
And that is why we 需要・要求する that the 法廷,裁判所 裁判官 them as 厳しく as our Soviet 法律 命令(する)s, 裁判官 them as our 社会主義者 censcience 需要・要求するs.
殺人 - this is the whole "program" of the home 政策 of these people.
What was their 外交政策?
Here the shades of the dead arise, here the old "Clemenceau theses" are 生き返らせるd, here the cloven hoof of Trotsky again becomes 明白な.
Trotsky's letter received by Dreitzer 含む/封じ込めるd three 簡潔な/要約する points: 1) put Stalin and Voroshilov out of the way; 2) 広げる work of 組織するing nuclei in the army; 3) in the event of war, take advantage of every 後退 and possible 混乱 to 掴む the leadership.
This is avowed banking on 敗北・負かす.
This is the old Clemenceau 論題/論文, but in a new 見解/翻訳/版, edited by the 部隊d centre of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite terroristic 圏.
Fritz David 明言する/公表するd during the 予選 調査 and 確認するd it in this 法廷,裁判所 (and it fully 適合するs with a number of historical 文書s, the 証拠 of other (刑事)被告 and the very nature of the 仕事 which 直面するd Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev), that in one of his conversations with Trotsky the latter asked him: "Do you think this discontent will disappear in the event of a war between the Soviet Union and the Japanese?" (He referred to the discontent which he thought 存在するd in our country.) "No, on the contrary," said Trotsky, "under these 条件s the 軍隊s 敵意を持った to the 政権 will try to 部隊, and in that 事例/患者 our 仕事 will be to 部隊 and take the lead of these discontented 集まりs, to arm them and lead them against the 判決,裁定 bureaucrats"(Vol. VIII, p. 61).
Trotsky repeated this in his letter of 1932 (evidently this is his
idée 直す/買収する,八百長をする) and in a conversation with Berman-Yurin.
Berman-Yurin 明言する/公表するd: "In 関係 with the 国際情勢 at that time Trotsky told me that the 仕事 of demoralizing our 軍の 軍隊s was of particular importance, for in the event of a war against the Soviet Union large 集まりs would be called up to the army." Trotsky and the Trotskyites together with the Zinovievites calcylated on 存在 able to 影響(力) these 集まりs very easly. "Trotsky said to me literally the に引き続いて, " 追加するd Berman-Yurin: " 'We will defend the Soviet Union 供給するd the Stalin leadership is overthrown' " (Vol. IV, p. 100).
Such was their program in 外交政策!
Perhaps this is all an 発明? Perhaps Fritz David and Berman-Yurin just gave rein to their fantasy? Perhaps this is all a pack of lies, an 発明, the irresponsible chatter of the (刑事)被告 who are trying to say as much as they can against the others ーするために mitigate their own ultimate 運命/宿命? No! This is not an 発明, not fantasy! It is the truth! Who does not know that Trotsky, together with the (刑事)被告 Kamenev and Zinoviev now in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる, several years ago 布告するd the "Clemenceau 論題/論文," that they said that it was necessary, in the event of war, to wait until the enemy had got within a distance of 80 キロメーターs of Moscow and then to rise in 武器 against the Soviet 政府, to 倒す it. This is an historical fact. It cannot be 否定するd. And that is why it must be 認める that the 証拠 given by Berman-Yurin and Fritz David in this onnection corresponds to the truth.
Such was the "外交政策" program of these people. For this program alone our Soviet people will hang these trailors on the very first gates! And it will serve them 権利!
二塁打-取引,協定ing, Deception and 誘発 - The 主要な/長/主犯 Methods of the Trotskyites-Zinovievites
Let us now turn to the methods by which these people operated.
This, perhaps, is one of the most shameful pages in the story of their shameful 犯罪の activities.
In 順応/服従 with the "原則" of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite 地下組織の 圏 to 掴む 力/強力にする by any means, the members of this 圏 広範囲にわたって practised 二塁打-取引,協定ing as their 主要な/長/主犯 method in their relations with the Party and the 政府. They transformed this 二塁打-取引,協定ing into a system which all the Azefs and Malinovskys, all the secret police, with all their 秘かに調査するs, provocateurs and スパイ/執行官s for diversive activities, might 井戸/弁護士席 envy.
Reingold 明言する/公表するd that in 1933-34 Zinoviev told him in a 私的な conversation - and Zinoviev 確認するd this before the whole world at this 裁判,公判 - that "the 主要な/長/主犯, practical 仕事 that 直面するd their 地下組織の organization was to 組織する their terroristic work so 内密に as not to 妥協 themselves in any way."
Perhaps this is an exaggeration? Of course not. What Reingold said 適合するs to the logic of things.
"The main thing during an 調査," said Zinoviev in 教えるing his 共犯者s, "is to 否定する all 関係 with the organization, arguing that terror is 相いれない with the 見解(をとる)s of Bolsheviks-Marxists" (Vol. XXVII, p. 112).
Trotsky also recommended that in the event of a terroristic 行為/法令/行動する 存在 committed, they should dissociate themselves from the Trotskyite organization and (問題を)取り上げる a position analogous to that taken by the Central 委員会 of the 社会主義者-革命のs toward Madam Kaplan who 発射 at Vladimir Ilyich (Lenin). We know what that means. We remember that after Kaplan 解雇する/砲火/射撃d her 背信の 弾丸 at Lenin, the Central 委員会 of the 社会主義者-革命のs 問題/発行するd a ちらし in which they categorically 宣言するd that they had nothing to do with this terroristic 行為/法令/行動する. Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev 可決する・採択するd the same 策略.
Zinoviev said: "We took the path of a carefully considered and profoundly secret 陰謀(を企てる), we regarded ourselves as Marxists, and remembering the 決まり文句/製法 'insurrection is an art,' altered it to 控訴 our 目的s and 宣言するd that 'plotting against the Party, against Stalin, is an art.' "
The masters of this "art" are now sitting in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる. I will not say that they are 高度に 技術d masters. They are unskilled masters. にもかかわらず, they managed to do their despicable work. What did their "art" consist of? The 真っ先の part of their 計画(する) was by every possible means to mask their truly 犯罪の 直面するs.
This perhaps is one of the most striking 事例/患者s in history when the word mask acquired its real meaning: these people put masks on their 直面するs, 可決する・採択するd the 提起する/ポーズをとる of repentant sinners who had broken with the past, who had abandoned their old erring ways and mistakes which grew into 罪,犯罪.
It is characteristic that 正確に at the time when the 部隊d Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre was 強めるing its activities to the 最大の, when these terroristic activities reached their highest point of 開発, when they were 前進するing to the consummation of the despicable 殺人 of Comrade Kirov, it was 正確に at that period that Zinoviev sent a letter of repentance to the Central 委員会. In this letter 時代遅れの May 8, 1933, that is to say, when the 準備s for terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs were at their 高さ, Zinoviev not only 放棄するd all his past mistakes, but hypocritically 公約するd his 忠義 to 社会主義 and to the Party.
During the very days in which he was 準備するing to strike a 背信の blow at the very heart of the Party, 準備するing a terroristic 行為/法令/行動する against Comrade Stalin, this 犯罪の who, like all those sitting in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる at the 現在の time, had lost every 外見 of a human 存在, ended his letter with the に引き続いて words:
"I ask you to believe that I am speaking the truth and nothing but the truth. I ask you to retore me to the 階級s of the Party and to give me an 適切な時期 of working for the ありふれた 原因(となる). I give my word as a 革命の that I will be the most 充てるd member of the Party, and will do all I かもしれない can at least to some extent to atone for my 犯罪 before the Party and its Central 委員会."
We know now what these words were 価値(がある), we know that Zinoviev did all he かもしれない could to 損失 the Party and the work of building 社会主義 in our country, to 損失 the 原因(となる) of the whole international 共産主義者 movement. On June 16, 1933, he published an article in Pravda する権利を与えるd "Two Parties." He publishes an article in the Central 組織/臓器 of our Party in which he does everything to 証明する his 忠義 to the Party, roundly 非難するs opportunism and sings hallelujahs to the victories 達成するd by the Party.
This was on May 8 and June 16, that is to say, in the summer of 1933. And in that very summer of 1933, as has now been definitely 設立するd at a 会議/協議会 of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre, Zinoviev 教えるs Bakayev to start the practical 現実化 of 対策 of テロ行為.
Zinoviev was indignant with Smirnov here when the latter reproached him for telling lies. Smirnov himself did not utter a 選び出す/独身 word of truth here, but he reproached Zinoviev for telling lies. Zinoviev was 感情を害する/違反するd and said that the difference between him and Smirnov was that he, Zinoviev, "had 堅固に decided at this last moment to speak the whole truth, 反して Smirnov had evidently taken a different 決定/判定勝ち(する)."
許す me, comrades 裁判官s, to 警告する you against this 声明 of Zinoviev's. Do not believe that he really speaking the whole truth here.
At the Leningrad 裁判,公判 on January 15-16 Zinoviev and Kamenev 成し遂げるd not at all 不正に in one of the scenes of their cunning, perifidious masquerade. While giving 証拠 at the 裁判,公判 on January 15-16, 1935, Kamenev 手配中の,お尋ね者 to create the impression that he was an enemy who had finally and 心から laid 負かす/撃墜する his 武器 and was telling all that was in his heart against the 政府 and the Party. He then 解任するd some episode in which Zinoviev 隠すd something of what was said in a conversation with Trotsky. In a 発言する/表明する of pathos and "unfeigned" indignation Kamenev reproached Zinoviev for having 隠すd this fact, for not speaking the truth.
But at that very time Kamenev himself, and Zinoviev, tried to deceive us, to deceive the 法廷,裁判所 and the whole country by 明言する/公表するing that they had had no 関係 whatever with the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov. Then, as now, literally in the same words that were uttered yesterday, Zinoviev and Kamenev 公約するd that they were speaking the whole truth. It may be said that for Kamenev and Zinoviev the 裁判,公判 of January 15-16, 1935, was a sort of rehearsal of the 現在の 裁判,公判, which they did not 推定する/予想する, perhaps, but which they did not escape any more than they could escape from 運命/宿命.
I will come 支援する to the "remarkable" 証拠 given at the 裁判,公判 in Leningrad. I について言及する it now only ーするために 警告する you, and through you, through the 法廷,裁判所, to 警告する the whole country, not only against Kamenev and Zinoviev, but against all other doubledealers, all other 反逆者s whom unfortunately we still have in our 階級s and who talk about their repentance, who dissociate themselves, and mask themselves, in order the better to thrust their knife into the 支援する of the Party, of our country, of our 広大な/多数の/重要な 原因(となる).
Not the slightest 信用/信任 must be placed in these certified and 常習的な deceivers!
They themselves understand that they do not deserve any confidense. While 診察するing Zinoviev I asked him: "Are you speaking the whole truth now?" And he ansvered: "Now I am speaking the whole truth to the very end."
But what proof is there of this? How can we believe them when they have より勝るd all conceptions of perfidy, cunning, deceit and treachery?
Zinoviev carried this perfidy to such lengths that after the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov he sent an obituary notice to Pravda. The only thing he said here about that was: "That obituary was not published as far as I remember." And that is all.
Here is the obituary; I have it in my 手渡す. Zinoviev 時代遅れの it, if I am not mistaken, the 4th or 7th of December, most probably the 4th of December.
You, Zinoviev, gave this obituary notice on Comrade Kirov the 肩書を与える "The Beacon Man." How did you start the obituary notice which you ーするつもりであるd for the 圧力(をかける), and which, その結果, was to become public 所有物/資産/財産?
"This could be 観察するd throughout the 17 years of our 革命, at every moment when the enemy contrived to strike a blow at the Bolsheviks. . . . That is what happened when the enemy 後継するd in striking a palpable blow on the 戦場s of the
Civil War, that is what happened . . . " etc., etc.
And その上の on Zinoviev 令状s: "The grief of the Party is the grief of the whole people, of all peoples of the U.S.S.R. The Party's 嘆く/悼むing is the 嘆く/悼むing of the whole of our 広大な/多数の/重要な country. . . . The whole people have felt the bitterness of bereavment."
It is true that the bitterness of bereavment and 怒り/怒る against the 背信の 発射 was felt by the whole country. That feeling was really 株d by the whole country, young and old.
But to what extent does this 関心 you?
"The foul 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov has in truth roused the whole Party, the whole of the Soviet Union." "The loss of this beloved and dear man has been felt by all as the loss of one who is nearest and dearest of all. . . ."
This is what you, the (刑事)被告 Zinoviev, wrote in this terrible and disgraceful article. Why did the Party lose this 近づく and infinitely dear S. M. Kirov, (刑事)被告 Zinoviev? The Party lost this man who was so 近づく and dear to us because you, the (刑事)被告 Zinoviev, killed him, you killed him with your own 手渡すs, your 手渡すs are stained with Kirov's 血! . . .
"Beloved son of the Party," you wrote. What insolent sacrilege!
"A son of the working class - this is what this Beacon Man was," "our dear, 深い, strong. . . . One could not help believing him, one could not help loving him, one could not help 存在 proud of him."
This is what Zinoviev wrote, 越えるing all bounds of cynicism!
Such is this man. He loved him, he was proud of him, and he killed him! The miscreant, the 殺害者, 嘆く/悼むs over his 犠牲者! Has anything like it ever occurred before?
What can one say, what words can one use fully to 述べる the utter baseness and loathesomeness of this: Sacrilege! Perfidy! Duplicity! Cunning!
It was you, Zinoviev, you who with your sacrilegious 手渡す 消滅させるd this beacon, and you began 公然と and hypocritically to 涙/ほころび your hair ーするために deceive the people.
Whom did you kill? You killed a magnificent Bolshevik, a 熱烈な tribune, a man who was dangerous to you, a man who fought devotedly for Lenin's testament and against you. You killed this man in a flash of time by the 弾丸 解雇する/砲火/射撃d by the despicable 手渡す of Nikolayev, and two or three days afterwards you sent an article to the Pravda in which you wrote about the "消滅させるd beacon." Where shall we find the word with which to appraise this despicable trick! I can not find the words in my vocabulary!
We will now pass to Kamenev, the second 中心存在 of the socalled Zinovievite group, this hypocrite "in an ass's 肌," as he himself 表明するd it at the Seventeenth 議会 of the Party.
I ask the 法廷,裁判所 to 支払う/賃金 attention to the articles Kamenev published in 1933. Kamenev wrote these articles almost 同時に with those written by Zinoviev by 相互の 協定. Kamenev published an article in Pravda in which he, like Zinoviev, 放棄するd his past erring ways, 非難するd his own mistakes and said that "the man who had fought Lenin for 10年間s became the most important 人物/姿/数字 in the 対立," etc., etc. "It is (疑いを)晴らす," wrote Kamenev in this article of May 25, 1933, "that the 抵抗 to the 政策 長,率いるd by Comrade Stalin was based on the 前提s which made members of the Party in October 1917 come out as the 対抗者s of the 政策 of Lenin." Weeping and groaning, Kamenev tried to 証明する that he had broken off relations with his old friends and 結論するd his article with an 控訴,上告 to all of them to abandon all 抵抗 which was 干渉するing with the work of building 社会主義.
This was in May 1933. And in the summer of 1933, after the return of Kamenev and Zinoviev from 追放する, a meeeting of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre was held in Zinoviev's apartment for the 目的 of 組織するing terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs against the leaders of the Party and the Soviet 政府.
When Kamenev was asked about this here, his replies were curt. The に引き続いて 対話 took place between me and him, which I will take the liberty to repeat. I asked:
"What 評価 should be given the articles and 声明s you wrote in 1933, in which you 表明するd 忠義 to the Party? Deception?
"Kamenev: 'No, worse than deception.'
"Vyshinsky: 'Perfidy?'
"Kamenev: 'Worse!'
"Vyshinsky: 'Worse than deception; worse than perfidy - find the word. 背信?
"Kamenev: 'You have 設立する the word!' "
Later on he said that he not only did this in 協定 with Zinoviev, but that it was all done in fulfilment of the 計画(する) to 掴む 力/強力にする that had been drawn up beforehand, which 計画(する) was 連合させるd with the necessity of winning 信用/信任.
There is a small 詳細(に述べる) which is of some importance for defining the moral, or, if you will, the 観念的な level of the (刑事)被告 Kamenev, for characterizing his 利益/興味 at the time, for characterising some of his moral 前提s.
I would like to について言及する one of the 調書をとる/予約するs of Machiavelli (Vol. I). It was published in 1934 by the "Academia" Publishing House, of which Kamenev was then the 長,率いる, and has a prefase by Kamenev. It is a very 利益/興味ing 調書をとる/予約する. It was written in the 16th century. The author wrote it for a prince ーするために 教える him in the art of 治める/統治するing the 明言する/公表する in 一致 with his princely 利益/興味s. Marchiavelli wrote: "You must know that there are two ways of 競うing, by 法律 and by 軍隊: the first is proper to men; the second to beasts.
"But because many times the first is insufficient, 頼みの綱 must be had to the second. A prince must 所有する the nature of both beast and man."
This pleased Kamenev very much, and in his short preface to this 調書をとる/予約する he wrote the に引き続いて 利益/興味ing words: "A master of political aphorism and a brilliant dialectician. . . ." (によれば Kamenev Machiavelli was a dialectician! This 常習的な schemer turns out to be a dialectician!) "A master of political aphorism. . . . " A 罰金 aphorism indeed! Machiavelli wrote: to fight by means of 法律 is characteristic of men, to fight by means of 軍隊 is characteristic of the beast; 追求する this bestial 政策 and you, says Machiavelli, will 達成する your goa! And this the (刑事)被告 Kamenev calls 存在 a "master of political aphorism."
Let us hear what Kamenev 令状s その上の: ". . . . A dialectician who from his 観察s had formed the 会社/堅い opinion that all 概念s of the 基準 of good and evil, of the permissible and 許すことの出来ない, of the lawful and 犯罪の were 親族. . . ." Evidently, によれば Kamenev, this is dialectics: mixing up what is 犯罪の with what is not 犯罪の, the lawful with the unlawful, good with evil is a new "Marxian" in terpretation of dialecties a la Machiavelli.
"Machiavelli," wrote Kamenev in 1934, "made his treatise into an astonishingly sharp and expressive 目録 of the 支配するs by which the 支配者 of his time was to be guided ーするために 勝利,勝つ 力/強力にする, to 持つ/拘留する it and victoriously to withstand any attacks upon it," You had a good teacher, Kamenev, but you, and you must be given credit for this, have excelled your teacher.
Futher on you 令状 in this preface: "This is far from 存在 the sociology of 力/強力にする, but from this prescription there magnificently stand out the zoological features of the struggle for 力/強力にする in the society of slave owners based on the 支配する of the rich 少数,小数派 over the toiling 大多数."
That is so. But you 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 雇う in our society the methods of struggle and the 原則s of struggle that were worthy of slave owners; you 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 適用する them against our society, against 社会主義. You 令状: "Thus, this 長官 of the Florentine 銀行業者s and their 外交官/大使 at the ローマ法王's 法廷,裁判所, by 事故 or design, created a 爆撃する of tremendous 爆発性の 軍隊 which 乱すd the minds of 支配者s for centuries. . . ." You, Kamenev, 可決する・採択するd the 支配するs of Machiavelli, you developed them to the 最大の point of unscrupulousness and immorality, you modernized them and perfected them.
I do not ask you, comrades 裁判官s, to regard this 調書をとる/予約する as 構成要素 証拠 in this 事例/患者. I am not using this 調書をとる/予約する to 証明する that the (刑事)被告 are 有罪の of the 罪,犯罪s of which they are 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d. I 簡単に thought it necessary to 充てる a few minutes of attention to this circumstance, ーするために show the 観念的な source from which Kamenev and Zinoviev 得るd their sustenance at that time - these men who even now, at this 裁判,公判 try to 保存する their noble 提起する/ポーズをとる of Marxists 有能な of thinking and arguing in 順応/服従 with the 原則s of Marxism.
減少(する) this clownish farce! 涙/ほころび the mask from your 直面するs once and for all! Here Kamenev calls Machiavelli's 調書をとる/予約する a 爆撃する of enormous 爆発性の 軍隊. Evidently Kamenev and Zinoviev 手配中の,お尋ね者 to use this 爆撃する to 爆発する our 社会主義者 fatherland. They miscalculated! And although Machiavelli was a puppy and a yokel compared with them, にもかかわらず, he was their spiritual preceptor. "Machiavellism," and Azefism served you as the source of your activities and your 罪,犯罪s. Now this has been exposed by Zinoviev and Kamenev themselves: 殺人, cunning, perfidy and masquerade were the 主要な/長/主犯, 決定的な methods in their 犯罪の activities.
Yesterday, Zinoviev and Kamenev, 率直に if cynically, 認める that this entered into the 計画(する) of their activities. This was 証言するd to by Reingold, this was 証言するd to by others of the (刑事)被告, and I think that a 十分に exhaustive characterization of this methods is 含む/封じ込めるd in the 構成要素s which I have 現在のd. Summing up this part of my speech, I can say that the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre was 組織するd on a テロリスト basis and had its program, a very 原始の and simple one, it is true, 表明するd in only a few words, a program which did not even need for 草案ing the two hours to which the (刑事)被告 themselves contemptuously referred. Their program of home 政策 was 限定するd to 殺人; their program of 外交政策 was 限定するd to 敗北・負かす of the U.S.S.R. in war; their method was perfidy, cunning and 背信.
The 反対する-革命の Terroristic Activities of the Trotskyites-Zinovievites are Fully 証明するd
I now pass to the second part of my speech for the 起訴, to the practical activities of the いわゆる 部隊d centre and to the characterization of the 役割 of each of the (刑事)被告 in this 犯罪の 共謀 against the Soviet 政府.
There is not the slightest doupt that the union of the Zinovievite and Trotskyite 反対する-革命の groups which took place in the autumn of 1932 arose and grew strong on the 国/地域 and on the basis of the 相互の 承認 of terror as the 単独の and 決定的な method in the struggle for 力/強力にする - a struggle which was then the 根底となる and 主要な/長/主犯 仕事 of the Trotskyites and Zinovievites.
An organization 存在するd. An 地下組織の, conter-革命の, テロリスト group 存在するd. 存在するd and 機能(する)/行事d. However much Smirnov may try to 否定する this here, he will not 後継する .The facts are too strong, the facts are too 非常に/多数の. We, the 起訴, have every ground for 主張するing that an 地下組織の, 反対する-革命の, Trotskyite-Zinovievite group 存在するd, that this テロリスト organization was created, that it was created 正確に as a テロリスト organization, that it developed its activities 正確に as terroristic activities, that it 用意が出来ている for terroristic 試みる/企てるs at 暗殺 and that, to our 広大な/多数の/重要な misfortune and horror, one of these 試みる/企てるs was successful. The foul 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov on December 1, 1934, was committed by this organization. This is the most horrible of the 罪,犯罪s which this organization 後継するd in committing.
In January 1935 we tried the Moscow centre in 関係 with the 裁判,公判 of the Leningrad centre which took place a little before that, about two weeks before, and as a result of which L. Nikolayev, Kotolynov, Rumyantsev, Sossitsky and a number of others were 罪人/有罪を宣告するd and 発射. At that time we did not yet know who were the real authors, instigators and 関係者s in this monstrous 罪,犯罪. But we were on the 権利 跡をつける. The 調査 directed by the People's Commissariat for 内部の 事件/事情/状勢s proceeded along the true and 訂正する 追跡する of exposing the real 組織者s of this 罪,犯罪, although the 量 of 証拠 利用できる at that time did not enable us to make a direct 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 against Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov and Bakayev of 組織するing this 殺人, of guiding this 殺人, of committing this 殺人.
The 判決 in the 事例/患者 of the いわゆる Moscow centre in which Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov and several others played the 主要な/長/主犯 役割s 単に said in regard to the 役割 they played that they had fanned the テロリスト 感情s of their 共犯者s, that they had created the 客観的な 国/地域 upon which this 罪,犯罪 必然的に had to grow up and did grow up.
存在 絶対 客観的な, the 調査/捜査するing and 起訴するing 当局 did not then 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov and Bakayev with 直接/まっすぐに 扇動するing, 直接/まっすぐに 組織するing this 殺人. The 起訴,告発 明言する/公表するd that the 調査/捜査するing 当局 had not 設立するd their direct 参加. にもかかわらず, all the 構成要素s in the 所有/入手 of the 調査/捜査するing 当局 permitted them to say that these people - Kamenev, Zinoviev, Bakayev and Evdokimov - were closely connected with this 罪,犯罪 and, as they themselves 表明するd it, had to 耐える 完全にする moral and political 責任/義務 for it.
In 順応/服従 with this Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov and Bakayev were given in the Moscow centre 事例/患者 a 比較して 穏やかな 宣告,判決 - only deprivation of liberty.
Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov and Bakayev did all they かもしれない could to misrepresent the real 明言する/公表する of 事件/事情/状勢s, to 保護物,者 the real 組織者s and 共犯者s in the 罪,犯罪. They tried to make it appear that they had had no 手渡す in this sordid and despicable 事件/事情/状勢. Speaking in lofty style, they 宣言するd that the 反対する-革命 had chosen them as the 器具 of its 犯罪の activity. It was not they who had chosen 反対する-革命 as the 器具 of their struggle, it was 反対する-革命 which had chosen them as its 器具. . . .
Zinoviev, Kamenev, Bakayev and Evdokimov did all they could to 主張する and 証明する that they could not 耐える more 責任/義務 for this foul 殺人 than moral and political 責任/義務; but they 宣言するd that they were fully and honestly 用意が出来ている to 耐える this 責任/義務, and 認める the correctness and the justness of the 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s brought against them within those 限界s.
During the 裁判,公判 on January 15-16, 1935, Zinoviev said: "There are many of us sitting in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる, more than fifteen persons, each with a different biography. の中で us there are many who have belonged to the working class movement for many years. Much of what they have done they did because they had 信用/信任 in me, and for that, of course, I must 拷問 myself. The 仕事 that I see 直面するing me at this 行う/開催する/段階 is to repent fully, 率直に and 心から, before the 法廷,裁判所 of the working class, of what I understood to be a mistake and a 罪,犯罪, and to say it in such a way that it should all end, once and for all, with this group."
I have already said that this 声明 of Zinoviev's was a 提起する/ポーズをとる, a manoeuvre, a 戦術の move.
This is the way 犯罪のs always behave. (刑事)被告 of 殺人 and 強盗, they 罪を認める only to 強盗. (刑事)被告 of 強盗, they 罪を認める only to 窃盗罪. (刑事)被告 of 窃盗罪, they 罪を認める only to receiving 盗品. These are the usual tricks of 犯罪のs: 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d with graver 罪,犯罪s, they 罪を認める to lesser 罪,犯罪s. It is a trick to wipe out the traces of the 罪,犯罪 committed, counting on the credulity of people who still, in many 事例/患者s, even in 犯罪の 事例/患者s, show some 信用/信任 in 犯罪のs.
This was the position taken up by Zinoviev. An analogous position was taken up - and this they will not 否定する - by Kamenev, Evdokimov and Bakayev. Caught in 1935, almost 現行犯で, these people 認める 責任/義務 for the minor 罪,犯罪 ーするために 避ける 責任/義務, real 責任/義務, for the major 罪,犯罪.
Zinoviev talked about making a "frank and sincere" 自白, but he did not really do that. 現実に, they did all they could to 保護物,者 their 共犯者s from the 手渡す of Soviet 司法(官), to leave themselves some reserves, in order at the necessary moment to use these reserves against our Party, against the leaders of our country.
This explains the whole position taken up by Zinoviev, Kamenev, Evdokimov and Bakayev at the Leningrad 裁判,公判 on January 15-16, 1935. "It is true," said Zinoviev, "that we are 存在 tried on 客観的な features." He said that he did not know many of the people who were with him in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる at that time. Zinoviev, it would appear, did not know either Evdokimov, or Gertik, or Kamenev, or Sakhov. . . . Zinoviev said that subjectively they were "loyal" to the working class.
Zinoviev even had the effrontery to 主張する that he and his 15 共犯者s were subjectively loyal to the working class and did not want to take the path of 反対する-革命, but objectively things turned out the other way. Why did things turn out the other way? I would like the (刑事)被告 Zinoviev in his speech in defence to say how it happened that although he was subjectively loyal to the working class, objectively it turned out the other way. This cannot be the 事例/患者; such things do not happen. If, objectively, it really turned out that way, it was only because your subjective 忠義 to the 革命, (刑事)被告 Zinoviev, was 誤った and rotten! What were you thinking about when you said these things? I ask you to tell us about that too, in your speech in defence.
In your fight against the Soviet 政府 you 武装した yourself not only with 激怒(する) but with 小火器. You carried out your 犯罪の designs in practice. You yourself spoke about duplicity, but you spoke about it in such a way as to 隠す the fact that even at that moment you were continuing the 政策 of duplicity.
You said: "I am accustomed to feel that I am a leader; for me, 本人自身で, that played an enormous 役割." You said:
"I am accustomed to feel that I am a leader, and it goes without 説 that I should have known everything. If I am 除去するd from the leadership, it is either an 不正, or a 誤解, or for a few months. This is no justification, but I am telling you all I think, and その為に I am 抽出するing from my 団体/死体 the last 後援 of the 罪,犯罪s that are 存在 広げるd here."
Zinoviev 抽出するd the "last 後援" at the Leningrad 裁判,公判. . . . No! He did not do that! He left that 後援, and not only that one, but several, in the 団体/死体 of our 社会主義者 country ーするために continue to 準備する for and commit the gravest 罪,犯罪s.
You said:
". . . I did not think さもなければ: how can I be without my cirkle, without knowing everything, without 存在 in the very heart of politics," etc.?
That was the thought that was 拷問ing you - you thought that nothing could happen without you. . . . Your position in the past was 決定するd by 行為s, just as your 現在の position is 決定するd by your 行為s. Approaching the question as to whether there was a centre, you said: Of course there was one up to 1929. you tried to 主張する that there was no centre in the その後の years, that 厳密に speaking it did not 機能(する)/行事 after 1929. That was deception. The old Zinovievite centre was transformed into the centre of the 部隊d Trotskyite-Zinovievite 圏. It was 再編成するd, it became somewhat stronger because several groups were 強固にする/合併する/制圧するd. In 1932 it began to develop its activities on a wider 規模 in 1933 it 陳列する,発揮するd particular activity, it 用意が出来ている for a number of terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs and in 1934 it committed one of them.
Zinoviev said, "this is not the centre that 存在するd in 1926-27," and that he had no 関係 whatever with this centre. how did Zinoviev then put the question of 関係 with the Leningrad centre? He said that "there was a group consisting of Kotolynov, Mandelstam, Myasnikov and others." An important 役割 was played by Kotolynov, which, Zinoviev 主張するs, he learned from the 起訴,告発 in the 事例/患者 of Kirov's 殺人.
Zinoviev 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 主張する that he learned about one of the 組織者s of the Leningrad テロリスト group only from the 起訴,告発!
Was that really the 事例/患者? No, it was not. Zinoviev sent Bakayev to Leningrad to 設立する 接触するs with the Nikolayev-Kotolynov group and to 調査/捜査する how Nikolayev, Kotolynov, Mandelstamm and others were 準備するing to commit the 罪,犯罪.
Here again we have deceit, lies, again 偽装する!
"We sought 親善 with them." Already in 1935, in spite of all the 偽装する, Zinoviev had to 収容する/認める that he had sought 親善 with Kotolynov and Nikolayev, and that he 設立する this 親善. Now this has been 設立するd with 絶対の precision.
Zinoviev 関係のある that in 1932 he met Levin, who was 発射 in 1935 in 関係 with the 殺人 of Comrade Kirov, and 追加するd: "We did not talk about organization. Nor was there any need for this: my hints were understood, I was an 当局 for him and he was an 当局 for me; I knew that this man of the 'leaderless group' would do what we told him." This, too, 含む/封じ込めるs a number of half hints and half admissions, which only subsequently, after a number of 手がかり(を与える)s exposing Zinoviev had been collected, made it possible to 確実にする Zinoviev's 十分な 自白 of his part in this 罪,犯罪. Now Zinoviev no longer 隠すs the fact which yesterday Bakayev tried very hard to 最小限に減らす.
Already in January 1935, in 関係 with the Moscow centre 事例/患者, Zinoviev 認める that Vladimir Levin was 特に intimate with Bakayev. But yesterday Bakayev tried to 最小限に減らす this intimacy, to 最小限に減らす it by 明言する/公表するing that he did not go to 会合,会う Levin in Leningrad for conspirative, terroristic 目的s. But these were the only 目的s possible, where such an intimacy 存在するd. All the time he tried to impress: expunge the words "for this 目的" from the 証拠 and the 起訴,告発. No, Bakayev, we shall not expunge those words; they cannot be expunged because you went there "for this 目的," as an 専門家, an 専門家 in テロ行為, and your 旅行 was not 偶発の!
Why did not Zinoviev send Reingold, Pickel or even Evdokimov to Leningrad? Why did Zinoviev choose Bakayev and no other to 交渉する with the Leningrad group, with the group that was to 殺人 Comrade Kirow? I find the reply to that question in Zinoviev's 証拠, and partly in that of Bakayev, at the 裁判,公判 on January 15-16, 1935. Zinoviev's choice fell on Bakayev because Bakayev was most closely connected with Levin, who was the 代表者/国会議員 of the Zinovievites in Leningrad, who was the leader of the Leningrad テロリスト 地下組織の organization, as he himself 認める before the 軍の Collegium, last year. We also find 確定/確認 of this in Zinoviev's 証拠: "Bakayev knew him 特に closely, he was one of the important 組織者s of the anti-Party struggle in Leningrad. . . ."
(刑事)被告 Zinoviev, was it only anti-Party struggle? It was an anti-Soviet struggle, a 反対する-革命の struggle, a struggle which by its very nature bore an 率直に 反対する-革命の, anti-明言する/公表する, anti-Soviet character!
Zinoviev went on to say: "I did not give him any 指示/教授/教育s,"井戸/弁護士席, you know this is jesuitry that can hardly be 越えるd. It is like the reply of the jesuit 修道士 who, when asked: "Did this man pass here?" answered, pointing up his sleeve: "He did not pass here " . . . .
You had no 接触するs with Levin, but you did have 接触するs with him through Bakayev. Bakayev travelled on your 指示/教授/教育s. その結果, when you said: "I did not give him any 指示/教授/教育s," you lied again!
Bakayev was not the only one to carry out your 指示/教授/教育s. All of you - both Kamenev and Zinoviev, 同様に as the whole of your centre, carried on 交渉s with Levin, Kotolynov, Nikolayev, Rumyantsev, Sossitsky, Mandelstamm and a number of other members of this ギャング(団) of Leningrad Zinovievites, which has now been broken up and destroyed. The whole of your centre checked up on the 進歩 存在 made by the Leningrad ギャング(団) of Zinovievites in 準備するing for this 罪,犯罪; and you waited impatiently for the time when at last that loyal son of our Party, the leader of the Leningrad Bolsheviks and fiery tribune, Sergei Mironovich Kirov, would be destroyed. And they lived to see this 殺人 committed.
In this 法廷,裁判所 Zinoviev 認める that he was 圧力(をかける)ing to 急いで 殺人. He was in a hurry, he clutched feverishly at people like Nikolayev and Kotolynov ーするために 急いで this 殺人. Not the least 動機 was the 願望(する) to forestall the Trotskyite テロリストs. The Trotskyites were 圧力(をかける)ing hard.
Zinoviev 認める that Smirnov was also hurrying. They were all hurrying. The Trotskyites operated with greater 決意 and energy than the Zinovievites. Zinoviev knew that Trotskyite テロリストs were arriving from abroad. And Zinoviev 宣言するd that it was a "事柄 of honour" - I am ashamed to use such a word in this 関係 - to carry out his 犯罪の design sooner than the Trotskyites! Hence Zinoviev's feverish impatience. That is why he was waiting every day for the moment when that 背信の 発射 would at last be 解雇する/砲火/射撃d in Leningrad. All his activities were directed に向かって committing this foul 罪,犯罪 as soon, as 速く and as 首尾よく as possible!
Such was the 役割 played by Zinoviev, such was his 行為/行う in this 事件/事情/状勢.
In finishing with this episode, I would like now to get a straight answer from Zinoviev to the に引き続いて question: Does Zinoviev now 受託する only moral 責任/義務, or the whole 犯罪の 責任/義務, 十分な 責任/義務, for 準備するing, 組織するing and committing the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov?
Of course, Zinoviev will say "yes." He cannot say anything else He said this on the very first day of this 裁判,公判 when caught in the 支配する of the アイロンをかける chain of 証拠 and proof.
At that same 裁判,公判 Kamenev took an almost 類似の stand. Bakayev took a 類似の stand. Kamenev said that he did not know of the 存在 of the Moscow centre. Trying to 提起する/ポーズをとる as a noble person, he said that in so far as the centre 存在するd, and this was 証明するd, he was 責任がある it. . . .
The way Kamenev put it, it 量d to this: he did not know there was a centre, but if there was a centre, 井戸/弁護士席 then, he knew about it. But Kamenev did know of the 存在 of the centre; he indeed knew. This has been 証明するd. And now this is 確認するd by fresh 証拠 得るd in 関係 with the 発見 of a number of new 犯罪の ギャング(団)s operating in the same direction. This evidece throws 十分な light on this 恐ろしい and terrible 事件/事情/状勢.
And then Kamenev tried to 提起する/ポーズをとる as a man who had become politcally blind. He said: I became blind - I lived to the age of 50 and did not see this centre in which, it turns out, I myself was active, in which I participarted by 活動/戦闘 and by inaction, by speech and by silence.
It sounds like some sort of spiritualism, spiritualism and 黒人/ボイコット 魔法!
Even at that time we realized that this was 簡単に an 試みる/企てる at concealment by means of 誤った phrases, an 試みる/企てる by means of these 誤った phrases to 隠す the truth. Now all this has been finally exposed. No, Kamenev did not become blind. Kamenev very 井戸/弁護士席 saw and knew what he was doing. He saw perfectly 井戸/弁護士席 what was going on around him, because he 組織するd what was going on around him. Kamenev did not become blind, because he 行為/法令/行動するd by speech and silence. By silence when he did not say: "Don't do that," when he should have said that; and by speech when he said: "Do it," when, perhaps, some of his younger assistants warvered and turned to him as their 当局, as their 助言者.
Kamenev said:
"I want to say - not in my own justification, I did not remember this before but now I 解任する - that some time ago Zinoviev told me that Safarov had visited him and had 提案するd some sort of a 圏. I said that I would not 参加する any 圏 because I never believed that man. Zinoviev can 確認する this. I was not …に反対するd to talking. I talked."
With whom did he talk?
"With Tolmazov and Shatsky." Tolmazov and shatsky were active members of the Leningrad Zinovievite ギャング(団) which killed Comrade Kirov.
Kamenev talked with Tolmazov and shatsky, that is to say, with two of the 主要な/長/主犯 組織者s of the 殺人 of Comrade Kirov. So Kamenev agreed to these conversations and carried them on through Bakayev. But he tried to 隠す this.
Arguing that he could not have any 関係 with テロ行為, Kamenev, striking a 提起する/ポーズをとる, said:
"Imust say that I am not a coward by nature, but I never banked on fighting with 武器. I always 推定する/予想するd that a 状況/情勢 would arise in which the Central 委員会 would be compelled to 交渉する with us, that it would move up and make room for us. . . .These dreams did not recur during the past two years, 簡単に because I am not a dreamer and not a fantast. There were fantasts and adventurers in our 中央, but I do not belong to that 部類."
I think that Kamenev will now define his part in this 事件/事情/状勢 somewhat 異なって. What 目的(とする) did Kamenev 始める,決める himself? Did he or did he not bank on fighting with 武器?
At that time he said - "No." Now, two days ago, he said - "Yes." At that time he said "no" because he knew, he saw that we were as yet not in 所有/入手 of all the threads of this 恐ろしい 罪,犯罪, because at that 行う/開催する/段階 of the 調査 all the threads had not yet been finally unravelled. At that time he said: "No." Now when everything has been 公表する/暴露するd, he says - "yes."
Here is a characteristic fact! It shows what a 広大な/多数の/重要な and 決定的な 役割 personal 動機s played in this 犯罪の "work" of Kamenev. Kamenev thought that a time must arrive when the Central 委員会 would move up and make room for him. but suppose it did not move up? Suppose it did not make room for him? In that 事例/患者 he, Kamenev, would take 対策 to have room made for him.
This is the whole of Kamenev's logic and politics! Logic and politics which make it utterly impossible for us to agree that he does not belong to the 部類 of people whom he himself 述べるd as adventurers. No. 明白に he belongs to this 部類, 同様に as to the other 部類 - the"fantasts." There was not a little of fantasy here, but there was plenty of 乗り気 to put this fantasy into practice, to make it real, to make it a living thing even by means of adventures, by means of a 圏 with 秘かに調査するs, スパイ/執行官s for diversive activities, secret police スパイ/執行官s, 殺害者s, and by direct 殺人s. Kamenev agreed to this, Kamenev was 用意が出来ている to do this.
Here is something else he said at the Leningrad 裁判,公判: "I am speaking before the portraits of these 広大な/多数の/重要な 建設業者s of 社会主義. . . ." It must be said that の中で these there was a portrait でっちあげる,人を罪に陥れるd in 黒人/ボイコット, the portrait of Comrade Kirov. Kamenev at the 裁判,公判 公約するd before the portrait of Kirov, whom Kamenev had 殺人d!
" . . . Before the portraits of these 広大な/多数の/重要な 建設業者s of sicialism I am a 犯罪の if I 欠如(する)d the strength to leave and to take with me those whom it was possible to take. . . ."
Lies! Again hypocrisy, cunning, perfidy and cynism!
The Trotskyite-Zinovievite Centre Killed Comrade Kirov
Above I asked: Was there an organization? Was there a Trotskyite-Zinovievite テロリスト centre? I answer: Yes, there was. It arose in 1932. it consisted of Kamenev, Zinoviev, Evdokimov, Bakayev, Smirnov, Ter-Vaganyan and Mrachkovsky.
This centre 存在するd, and, what is most importaut, it was formed on the direct 指示/教授/教育s of Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev. It was formed on the direct 指示/教授/教育s of Trotsky to 可決する・採択する terror as the 単独の method of fighting against the leaders of the land of Soviets. It was formed on the basis of 深遠な and strict secrecy. Yesterday we were able to 観察する one of the 代表者/国会議員s of this Trotsky-Zinoviev-Kamenev school of 共謀 in the person of the (刑事)被告 Holtzman. In the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる we have another conspirator in the person of Smirnov. The centre 存在するd and funktioned: it not only 訴える手段/行楽地d to methods of downright perfidy, deceit and treachery but, as has now been definitely 設立するd, it 組織するd and 設立するd secret communications with the German 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員s, with whom it mated the German Trotskyites, using them in the fight against our leaders, using their 関係s with the German Gestapo in the persons of Tukalevsky, P. Olberg and their like.
I take it as 絶対 proven by the personal 証拠 of literally all the (刑事)被告, 含むing that of Smirnov on this point, that this centre was 組織するd on a terroristic basis, that the centre 訴える手段/行楽地d to terroristic methods, not 縮むing from the most sordid and 冷笑的な methods in its struggle. I take it as 絶対 proven that this centre 用意が出来ている a number of terroristic 試みる/企てるs in the ウクライナ共和国, in Moscow and in Leningrad. Finally, this centre 用意が出来ている and committed the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov in Leningrad.
As I have already said, the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov was part of the conspirators' general 計画(する) to 殺人 the leaders of the Soviet 明言する/公表する and the C.P.S.U. Incidentally, this has been 設立するd by the 証拠 of Evdokimov. I ask the 法廷,裁判所 to take 公式文書,認める of Evdokimov's 証言 of August 10, when he said that the 殺人 of Kirov was committed on the direct 指示/教授/教育s of the 部隊d centre of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite 圏, when he said that in 1934 Zinoviev gave him direct 指示/教授/教育s to this 影響. Bakayev also 確認するd this. The 決定/判定勝ち(する) to 組織する the 殺人 of Kirov was 可決する・採択するd by Zinoviev, Kamenev, Evdokimov and Bakayev, and by Trotsky's 代表者/国会議員s, Mrachkovsky and Ter-Vaganyan.
Evdokimov's 証拠, to which I now 言及する, reads as follows: "For the 目的 of 準備するing for the 殺人, Bakayev was sent to Leningrad at the beginning of November 1934, that is to say, some days before Nikolayev killed Kirov in the Smolny, in the city of Leningrad - to check up on the 準備s for this 殺人. Bakayev 本人自身で met Nikolayev and on returning to Moscow 知らせるd Evdokimov, Zinoviev and Kamenev of this. The latter 公式文書,認めるd with satisfaction the successful 進歩 of the 準備s for this foul 罪,犯罪 and began to wait for the 発射. Bakayev 警告するd Nikolayev and his 共犯者s that they must wait for Zinoviev's signal, that they must 解雇する/砲火/射撃 同時に with the 発射s to be 解雇する/砲火/射撃d in Moscow and Kiev."
All this has now been 証明するd by the 裁判,公判. Let the (刑事)被告 challenge this in their defence speeches if they dare.
After 長引かせるd 否定s during the 予選 調査 Zinoviev gave the 証拠 which I have already について言及するd. A characteristic 詳細(に述べる). As far 支援する as the autumn of 1932, in Zinoviev's and Kamenev's summer 郊外住宅 (they 共同で 占領するd a summer 郊外住宅 which, incidentally, Kamenev once called the source of his misfortunes) Bakayev was 教えるd to 準備する a terroristic 行為/法令/行動する against Comrade Stalin, and Karev was 教えるd to 準備する one against Comrade Kirov. But then the 状況/情勢 changed, for Karev was 逮捕(する)d and Kamenev and Zinoviev 設立する themselves in 追放する.
Then (機の)カム 1933, the year of 復活 of terroristic 感情s, the year of 再開 of activities by the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre. And now, Bakayev is given 指示/教授/教育s; and 徹底的な 準備s for the 殺人 of Comrade Kirov are begun.
Kamenev says: "I did not know these 準備s proceeded in practice because it was not I, but Zinoviev who 演習d practical direction in the organization of this terroristic 行為/法令/行動する." (刑事)被告 Kamenev, did you know that Bakayev went to Leningrad to check up on the 進歩 of these 準備s? Yes, you knew. Did you know that Bakayev, after having checked up and 設立する that everything was going on 首尾よく, arrived in Moscow and 報告(する)/憶測d to you the 進歩 of these 準備s? you knew. How, after this, can you 推定する to say that you took no practical part in the 殺人 of Kirov? Your 試みる/企てる to throw all the 非難する on Zinoviev will not 持つ/拘留する water.
Kamenev says "it was decided" to kill, and 追加するs "I agreed to this 決定/判定勝ち(する)." Is this not taking practical steps?
At the 予選 調査 Bakayev 断固としてやる 否定するd that he had played any part in the 準備s for the 殺人 of Kirov; but he was exposed by Karev, who reminded him of a number of facts. And only then, after that, did Bakayev 自白する.That is why, in 見解(をとる) of Bakayev's 十分な 自白, I 差し控えるd from 診察するing Karev in 法廷,裁判所.
It was the 手渡す of Nikolayev, of Kotolynov, of his group that 殺人d Sergei Mironovich Kirov. But who else took part in this 殺人? I asked Zinoviev: When was the 部隊d centre 組織するd? Zinoviev replied: In the summer of 1932. During what period of time did it 機能(する)/行事? Zinoviev: 事実上 up to 1934. . . .
I would like to を取り引きする this question in greater 詳細(に述べる). In 1932-33 Kamenev and Zinoviev were in 追放する; but the centre 機能(する)/行事d. It is known that in 1934 Smirnov, too, was not at liberty; he was 逮捕(する)d in January 1933; but the centre 機能(する)/行事d. And Zinoviev 確認するs that the centre 機能(する)/行事d. I draw the 結論 that if the centre 機能(する)/行事d it was because of the 井戸/弁護士席-組織するd technique of communication which enabled even those who were not at liberty, Smirnov, for example, to 参加する guiding the work of this centre.
I know that in his defence Smirnov will argue that he had left the centre. Smirnov will say: "I did not do anything, I was in 刑務所,拘置所." A naive 主張! Smirnov was in 刑務所,拘置所 from January 1, 1933, but we know that while in 刑務所,拘置所 Smirnov 組織するd 接触するs with his Trotskyites, for a code was discovered by means of which Smirnov, while in 刑務所,拘置所, communicated with his companions outside. This 証明するs that communication 存在するd andSmirnov cannot 否定する this.
But even this does not settle the question because, after all, what is important for us is that Smirnov, like Zinoviev and Kamenev, is 責任がある all the centre's activities and for the activities of the whole of the テロリスト group which was 組織するd, built up and 機能(する)/行事d under his leadership when they were still at liberty. Smirnov, Zinoviev and Kamenev were the 組織者s of the centre; they directed the activities of their テロリストs, of all these Pickels, the Dreitzers and the 残り/休憩(する). And they must 耐える 十分な 責任/義務 for this, irrespective of whether any one of them was at liberty at the time or not. This is elementary, and I do not think it is necessary to を取り引きする it in 詳細(に述べる). As the leaders, they must answer for the whole of the 犯罪の activities of the organization which they led and of all those groups which sprang up the 国/地域 they 骨折って進むd.
What did the activities of the centre consist of? Zinoviev said: "Their 主要な/長/主犯 activities consisted in the 準備s of terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs against the leaders of the Party and the 政府." I asked: against whom? Zinoviev answered: against the leaders. I asked: that is to say, against Stalin, Voroshilov and Kaganovich? Was it your centre that 組織するd the 殺人 of Kirov? Was the 殺人 of Sergei Mironovich Kirov 組織するd by your centre, or by some other organization?
Zinoviev: Yes, by our centre.
I asked: Did this centre 構成する you, Kamenev, Smirnov, Mrachkovsky and Ter-Vaganyan?
Zinoviev: Yes.
To my question: So you 組織するd the 殺人 of Kirov?
Zinoviev replied: Yes.
And so it is Zinoviev, Kamenev, Smirnov, Mrachkovsky, Ter-Vaganyan and all the 残り/休憩(する) who must answer for this 罪,犯罪.
The most 執拗な in his 否定s is Smirnov. He pleaded 有罪の only to 存在 the leader of the Trotskyite 地下組織の 反対する-革命の centre. True, he said this in a somewhat jocular way. Turning to Ter-Vaganyan, Mrachkovsky and Dreitzer, he said to them: "You want a leader? 井戸/弁護士席, take me." But you (刑事)被告 Smirnov, were the leader. Smirnov was the leader of the Trotskyite 地下組織の organization. It was no 事故 that Zinoviev and Kamenev regarded him as Trotsky's 代表者/国会議員, as Trotsky's 副, as the actual leader of the whole of the Trotskyite 地下組織の organization. And finally he himself 自白するd to this.
I do not know what Smirnov is going to say in his last 嘆願; but I think that on the basis of the 構成要素 of the 予選 調査 and of the 構成要素 of the 法廷,裁判所 調査 I have every ground for 宣言するing the に引き続いて: 1) the (刑事)被告 Smirnov has 自白するd that for a number of years he was the actual leader of the Trotskyite 地下組織の organization; 2) he has 自白するd that he was Trotsky's 代表者/国会議員 and 副 in the U.S.S.R.; 3) he has 自白するd that he was in Berlin in 1931 and there met Sedov; and 4) he has 自白するd that Sedov 知らせるd him of the terroristic 仕事s and gave the terroristic directions.
It is true that Smirnov 否定するs that these were Trotsky's directions. He says that this was Sedov's "personal opinion." にもかかわらず, on returning to the U.S.S.R., he considered it necessary to communicate Sedov's "personal opinion" to his companions in the unerground organization. . . .
We asked him: Where is the logic of this? If this was Sedov's personal opinion, and moreover, an opinion with which Smirnov, as he 主張するd, did not agree, why communicate it to the other members of the 地下組織の organization? Communicate it and not say that he did not agree with it? All his companions in the 反対する-革命の 地下組織の organization 宣言する that he did not even hint at his 不一致 with this line. Uner these circumstances, what can we regard as 設立するd? Was there a 会合 with Sedov in 1931? There was. Is Sedov - the son of L. Trotsky - his closest and first assistant in all his political activities? He is. During this 会合, did Sedov talk to Smirnov? He did. Smirnov 収容する/認めるs this. Did they talk about terror? Yes, they talked about terror. Smirnov 収容する/認めるs this too. The question as to how Smirnov understood Sedov is after all a 事柄 of 完全にする 無関心/冷淡 to the 起訴. If Smirnov understood his conversation with Sedov not as an 指示/教授/教育, then there was no need for him to communicate it to his 同僚s in his 地下組織の group. If he communicated this conversation and did not say that he 同意しないd with it, it means that it was an 指示/教授/教育, and it could not be さもなければ.
Smirnov says that he did not agree with this 指示/教授/教育. But if he did not agree with it he, as a 十分に experienced 地下組織の 労働者, factionalist and 反対する-革命の, should have understood that it was his 義務 to break with this group,to leave this group. さもなければ he would not be a man engaged in politics, let alone a leader of an 地下組織の organization. Yet Smirnov was not 単に a 階級-and-とじ込み/提出する member of the Trotskyite group. Smirnov is not Holtzman. Holtzman is a poor 版 of Smirnov; but Smirnov is not Holtzman. Smirnov is Smirnov. He is the leader. How can the leader remain a member of an 地下組織の group when he 同意しないs with the main line of this group? And the main line of this group was trrorism. And if he says that in 1931 hi did not 受託する, what Sedov said as an 指示/教授/教育, but took it 単に as Sedov's personal opinion, in 1932, however, he received direct 指示/教授/教育s from Trotsky through Yuri Gaven. At that time he could no longer say that this was somebody's "personal opinion," for even if it really was a "personal" position, it was the position of Trotsky!
From Sedov's personal position a straight path leads to Trotsky's position. There are no personal position! There is the Trotskyite 決定/判定勝ち(する), Trotsky's line of テロ行為. You, Smirnov, received it in 1931 and in 1932. You also received the 指示/教授/教育s from Dreitzer, not 本人自身で, but I am 深く,強烈に 納得させるd that you knew about it notwithstanding the fact that you were in a house of 拘留,拘置 for political 違反者/犯罪者s.
In 1932 you received Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育 through Gaven. Trotsky plainly said: Terror; put Stalin out of the way; kill Voroshilov; kill the leaders of the Party and the 政府. You, Smirnov, received this 指示/教授/教育. You say: I received it, but did not 受託する it. If you did not 受託する it, and if you 保存するd a sense of political honesty to any degree, after having heard in 1932 Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育 sent to you through Gaven, you could not but break with the Trotskyite organization. You understand this, and that is why you say - I broke, I left. But whom did you tell that you had left? You told no one. Mrachkovsky did not know about it, Ter-Vaganyan did not know about it and even Safonova did not know about it. You did not tell anyone! No one knew!
その結果, we have no 権利 whatever to believe these 主張s of yours. We can 主張する that in 1932 you received 指示/教授/教育s on テロ行為 from Trotsky and you 受託するd them. You would not be the Smirnov you are if you remained in the Trotskyite group while 同意しないing with the 根底となる line of this group, while 同意しないing with the line of the man who was such an 当局 for you as was Trotsky. We know that in your defence speech you will 悪口を言う/悪態 Trotsky. But no one will believe you, because in this 法廷,裁判所 you have not said, and you do not want to say, even two words of truth about your work in the テロリスト centre. Even yesterday you 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 隠す the 役割 played by Putna. You 手配中の,お尋ね者 to save some reserves, who, perhaps, would not be 完全に exposed. You 手配中の,お尋ね者 to save reserves for Trotsky, for your accursed Trotskyite 地下組織の organization!
I think that all the circumstances I have について言及するd 許す us to 設立する the に引き続いて in regard to Smirnov.
First. Smirnov was a member of the 部隊d centre of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite テロリスト organization. This centre was 組織するd with his 参加. その結果, he is one of the most important 組織者s of the centre.
Second. He 組織するd this centre on the basis of Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育s which he received in 1931. He gave this centre its terroristic character and the terroristic direction of its activities.
Third. In 1932, Smirnov received a second 指示/教授/教育 from Trotsky. This is indisputably 設立するd. All Smirnov's 試みる/企てるs to 証明する that, having received this 指示/教授/教育, he did not agree with it, although he remained in the 階級s of the Trotskyite 地下組織の organization, are too transparent.
Comrades 裁判官s, there is one other very important circumstance. The question can be put in this way: All 権利, terroristic basis, disposition に向かって テロ行為, talk about terror 存在 the 単独の means - but what about the organization of practical 対策 for the 目的 of getting together テロリスト groups, for the 目的 of putting テロ行為 into practice?
Ter-Vaganyan said that work was carried on to get together テロリスト groups, but that this was 準備の work which did not go beyond the 限界s of 準備s. But was that really the 事例/患者?
Of course not. The Zinovievites followed the Trotskyites, and Smirnov in particular, who persuasively and fervently 主張するd on the earliest 使用/適用 of terror, and not terror in general, but terror against Comrades Stalin, Kirov, Voroshilov, and other of our leaders. It was Comrade Stalin and Comrade Kirov who had 粉砕するd this dishonest 対立. It is やめる 理解できる, therefore, that Smirnov, this 一貫した, fully 納得させるd and irreconcilable Trotskyite, should concentrate all his 組織するing abilities on 準備するing the 暗殺 first of all of the leaders of the Central 委員会 of our Party, the leaders of our country. Smirnov kept 勧めるing Zinoviev: Let us hurry up and commit a terroristic 行為/法令/行動する, let us hurry up and kill Stalin, Kirov and Voroshilov. And Zinoviev, hurrying at the heels of the Trotskyites is 十分な of excitement and agitation 恐れるing lest he lag behind. . . .
Smirnov 勧めるd Zinoviev to hurry up with the 殺人. He was in no hurry about a 壇・綱領・公約. He said: It could be drawn' up at one sitting. What did they want a 壇・綱領・公約 for when they had what in their opinion was a surer means - 暗殺!Smirnov drew up and placed in the 手渡すs of his スパイ/執行官s a 固める/コンクリート 計画(する) for the organization of terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs. The 殺人 of Comrade Kirov was carried out in fulfilment of this 計画(する), for which Zinoviev 同様に as Kamenev, Smirnov, Mrachkovsky and Ter-Vaganyan must 耐える 十分な 責任/義務 before the land of Soviets, before the Soviet people, before the Soviet proletarian 法廷,裁判所.
The Masks Are Torn From the (刑事)被告
I consider that the 犯罪 of Zinoviev, Kamenev, Evdokimov and Bakayev has been fully 設立するd, and that I can be relieved of the 義務 of en?merating the many facts, and of analysing the 構成要素 of the 法廷,裁判所 調査, which exposes them to the fullest degree. I 単に want to 強調する that by the 味方する of Zinoviev, Kamenev, Evdokimov and Bakayev should stand Smirnov, Ter-Vaganyan and Mrachkovsky. They せねばならない stand 味方する by 味方する. Together they directed their 犯罪の activities against our 政府, together they 殺人d Kirov and, therefore, together and fully must they answer for this.
Smirnov understands this perfectly 井戸/弁護士席, and that is why he 可決する・採択するd a position of 否定. At first he 否定するd everything: he 否定するd the 存在 of a Trotskyite organization, he 否定するd the 存在 of a centre, he 否定するd his 参加 in the centre, he 否定するd 関係 with Trotsky, he 否定するd that he gave any secret 指示/教授/教育s, even those which he gave in 1936, and we know that this 広大な/多数の/重要な conspirator managed to 組織する the communication of 犯罪の 指示/教授/教育s to his adherents even while he was 孤立するd. He 否定するd everything - he 否定するd the 存在 of the Trotskyite centre in 1931, he 否定するd the 存在 of such a centre in 1932. he 否定するd everything. The whole of this examination of May 20 consisted 単独で of the words: "I 否定する that, again I 否定する, I 否定する." That is the only thing left for him to do.
(刑事)被告 Smirnov, your experience, your 技術 in deceit, has betrayed you. Exposed by the 証拠 of Safonova, Mrachkovsky and Ter-Vaganyan, you were compelled to 収容する/認める that there was a centre, that you were a member of this centre. Your 否定s were of no avail. You 否定するd that you had received any 指示/教授/教育s on テロ行為, but you were exposed on this 事柄 by Gaven, and you 自白するd; you were exposed by Holtzman who received 指示/教授/教育s from Trotsky to be 伝えるd to you 本人自身で, and only to you, 指示/教授/教育s to the 影響 that it was now necessary to 可決する・採択する テロ行為. Holtzman, whose Trotskyite 忠誠 was kept a 特に 深遠な secret, said that he had received these 指示/教授/教育s, but did not communicate them; and you think that this can be believed. No, no one will believe this.
Holtzman 可決する・採択する the same position as Smirnov - I 収容する/認める everything except テロ行為 - because he knows that for テロ行為 he may have to 支払う/賃金 with his 長,率いる. Smirnov was exposed as a テロリスト by Holtzman, by Mrachkovsky, by Safonova and by Dreitzer.
On July 21, you, Smirnov, gave somewhat different 証拠, that is to say, at first you 否定するd that you had received any 指示/教授/教育s from Trotsky to 組織する テロ行為, but here you 認める that you did received them. Your 否定s (機の)カム to nought.
When 直面するd with Mrachkovsky, you continued to 否定する that you had received from Trotsky and 伝えるd to Mrachkovsky 指示/教授/教育s to 組織する a テロリスト group. Mrachkovsky put you to shame by 説: "Why, Ivan Nikitich, you want to get out of a sordid 血まみれの 商売/仕事 with a clean shirt?" I can repeat this: "Do you really think, (刑事)被告 Smirnov, that you will get out of this 血まみれの 商売/仕事 無傷の?" In reply to Mrachkovsky you said: "発明 and 名誉き損,中傷," but later you did 自白する to something.
You 認める that the 圏 was 組織するd on the 原則 of the necessity of テロ行為, and therefore you were one of the 組織者s of the テロリスト centre. You received 指示/教授/教育s on terror from Trotsky. On that basis you developed terroristic 犯罪の activities. True, your 逮捕(する) 妨げるd you somewhat from taking part in the carrying out of these activities; にもかかわらず you did all you かもしれない could to help these activities.
I want to remind you that the 対決 with Safonova during the 予選 調査, which, in the main 再生するd what we saw in this 法廷,裁判所, was very characteristic. Smirnov does not 投機・賭ける to 否定する Safonova's 証拠. He invents an elastic form of lies. he knows that Safonova will not 名誉き損,中傷 him, Safonova was 以前は his wife, and has no personal grudge against him; therefore, he cannot 嘆願d a personal grudge. He says: "I do not remember," "evidently such a conversation may have taken place." He is asked: Was there any talk about 組織するing テロ行為? He replies: "There was not, but there might have been." When now, masking himself, he says: "I have nothing to reply to that," he is guided by the same animal cowardice. But on August 13 he was compelled to 収容する/認める that this conversation did take place in 1932, that he, Smirnov, 耐えるs 十分な 責任/義務 for this, and that now he does not ーするつもりである to 避ける 責任/義務.
I now want to を取り引きする Ter-Vaganyan. He, too at first, 可決する・採択するd a position of 否定; but on August 14 he gave more truthful 証拠. Summing up his 証言 and his behaviour in 法廷,裁判所 we can draw several 限定された deductions: we may consider it 設立するd that Ter-Vaganyan was a member of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre, that he took an active part in 組織するing the centre, that he carried out the 指示/教授/教育s of the centre on the basis of Trotsky's 指示/教授/教育s which were received through Smirnov, and of which he learned from Smirnov. He tries to 主張する that 現実に he did nothing. But I must say beforehand that even if he "did nothing," what he did is 十分な to deserve the 刑罰,罰則 供給するd for in Arts. 588, 19 and 588, 5811 of the 犯罪の Code.
Moissei Lurye and Nathan Lurye. We have heard Nathan Lurye's 証拠 of how he arrived here and for what 目的, of the work he carried on in 準備 for terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs under the 指導/手引 of Moissei Lurye, of how, in fact, he was 事実上 the 後継者 to the group which had been gotten together here before him by Franz Weitz, the 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員 スパイ/執行官 and a 信用d man of Himmler, 長,指導者 of the 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員 黒人/ボイコット secret service, 長,指導者 of the German S. S. detachments and subsequently, 長,指導者 of the German Gestapo.
You remember all their 証拠, and I do not think it is necessary to を取り引きする it in 詳細(に述べる). It has been fully, categoriecally, and unquestionably 証明するd that Nathan Lurye and Moissei Lurye 用意が出来ている to commit terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs. They must 耐える 十分な 責任/義務 for this 罪,犯罪!
When I spoke of the methods by which these gentlemen operated I showed, tried to show, to what depths these people had sunk, morally and 政治上. And perhaps one of the most striking and characteristic proofs of the depths of moral turpitude to which these people have sunk, of their 欠如(する) of even those "moral" 原則s and 支配するs of 行為/行う by which even 常習的な 犯罪のs and ギャング(個々)s are guided, is what Reingold told us about here. I 言及する to their 計画(する) to 除去する the traces of their foul 罪,犯罪s.
Was it an 事故, comrades 裁判官s, that they, in 期待 of 首尾よく carrying out their heinous 計画(する), ーするつもりであるd to 任命する 非,不,無 other than Bakayev as chairman of the O.G.P.U. - 正確に Bakayev, who is known as a man filled with malicious 憎悪, as a resolute man, persevering and 執拗な, with a very strong will, strong character and stamina, who would not stop at anything to 達成する the 目的(とする)s which he had 始める,決める himself!
If some of the (刑事)被告 coolly planned to come to 力/強力にする over mountains of 死体s of the best people of our Soviet land, then Bakayev was perhaps the most 決定するd and most implacable executor of this 計画(する)! It is 正確に this man that they ーするつもりであるd to 任命する as chairman of the O.G.P.U. in the event of their 陰謀(を企てる) 存在 successful.
I will not を取り引きする the ludicrous 配当 of 大臣の地位s の中で the conspirators and テロリストs. I 単に 強調する once again that 非,不,無 other than Bakayev was ーするつもりであるd for the 地位,任命する of chairman of the O.G.P.U. Zinoviev and Kamenev did not 除外する the 可能性 that the O.G.P.U. was in 所有/入手 of the threads of the 陰謀(を企てる) that they were ハッチング against the 明言する/公表する, and, therefore, they considered it to be one of their most important 仕事s to 任命する Bakayev chairman of the O.G.P.U. He was to 得る 所有/入手 of all these threads and then destroy them, 同様に as the very people who carried out Zinoviev's and Kamenev's 指示/教授/教育s.
Kamenev and Zinoviev do not 否定する the first part of this, but they 否定する the second part. That second part is too 恐ろしい, and Zinoviev said it was taken from Jules Verne. But do we not know that there have been such examples in history? Do we not know 確かな 隣人ing 明言する/公表するs in which such 手続き has been 適用するd, where 関係者s in a 陰謀(を企てる) were 肉体的に 皆殺しにするd by the 手渡す of the 組織者s of the 陰謀(を企てる), as was the 事例/患者 with Roehm and his henchmen?
(刑事)被告 Zinoviev, you yourself say that it was ーするつもりであるd to 任命する Bakayev to the 地位,任命する of chairman of the O.G.P.U. ーするために use him for the 目的 of 除去するing the traces of your 罪,犯罪. Why, then, do you say this is from Jules Verne? You have chosen a 欠陥のある line of defence.
This is not very important for the 事例/患者; but that is not the question, that is not the point. This is one of the remarkable touches which characterize the people who aspired to the leadership of our country. It 証明するs how fortunate we are that they were 除去するd from this leadership in time!
Zinoviev and Kamenev call this fantastic tales from the Arabian Nights. But, by your leave, what about the 殺人 of Zinoviev's 長官 Bogdan? What is that? A tale? Zinoviev could not say anything about that; but Reingold 明らかにする/漏らすd it and Pickel 確認するd it.
Zinoviev recommended Bogdan to Bakayev as a suitable person to commit terroristic 行為/法令/行動するs.
Reingold said it, Pickel 確認するd it, but Bakayev vigorously 否定するs it and tries to escape from it. But it is a fact which nobody can escape. Reingold and Pickel have 証明するd that Bogdan's "自殺" was really 殺人. It was done by Bakayev on the 指示/教授/教育s of the 部隊d centre! "You are hesitating to carry out the 指示/教授/教育s of our 部隊d Trotskyite-Zinovievite centre? Kill yourself or else we will kill you." That is what Bakayev said to Bogdan, and Bogdan gave way.
This was the beginning of the 死刑執行 of the 計画(する) drawn up by Zinoviev and Kamenev that was to be carried out in the event of the terroristic 陰謀(を企てる) turning out successful. Zinoviev and Kamenev tried to 描写する Bogdan's 自殺 as the 運命/宿命 of a "犠牲者"of our Soviet 政権. But you yourselves drove Bogdan to 自殺 by 直面するing him with the 窮地: either to carry out a terroristic 行為/法令/行動する or to commit 自殺.
Comrades 裁判官s, if you link up this episode with all the methods of struggle, all the other methods of "work" 可決する・採択するd by this 犯罪の ギャング(団), you will easily understand the truthfulness of the 証拠 given by Reingold and Pickel, who in this 法廷,裁判所 again and again exposed Zinoviev, Kamenev and Evdokimov as the 悪党/犯人s of a number of 墓/厳粛/彫る/重大な 罪,犯罪s.
Dogs Gone Mad Should All Be 発射
I now 結論する, comrades 裁判官s. The last hour is approaching, the hour of reckoning for these people who have committed 墓/厳粛/彫る/重大な 罪,犯罪s against our 広大な/多数の/重要な country. It is the last hour of reckoning for these people who took up 武器 against our dearest and most beloved, against the beloved leaders of our Party and our country, against Stalin, Kaganovich, Voroshilov, Orjonikidze, Zhdanov, Postyshev, Kossior and other leaders of our land of 勝利を得た, growing and 繁栄するing, new, 社会主義者 society. A sad and shameful end を待つs these people who were once in our 階級s, although they were never distinguished for either staunchness or 忠義 to the 原因(となる) of 社会主義.
Just a few words more. Some of the (刑事)被告 tried to draw a 平行の with the historical past, with the period of the Narodnaya Volya. They tried to compare some people with the heroic テロリストs who in the last century entered into 戦闘 with the terrible, cunning and ruthlessly cruel enemy, the tsarist 政府. In speaking of Bakayev, or perhaps of Smirnov, the 指名する of Gershuni was について言及するd here. This argument does not 持つ/拘留する water.
That was a struggle 行うd by a handful of self-sacrificing 熱中している人s against the gendarme 巨大(な); it was a fight in the 利益/興味s of the people. We Bolsheviks have always …に反対するd テロ行為, but we must 支払う/賃金 our 尊敬の印 to the 誠実 and heroism of the members of the Narodnaya Volya. Gershuni was not a Bolshevik, but he, too, fought against tsarism and not against the people.
You, however, a handful of downright 反対する-革命のs, 代表者/国会議員s of the 先導 of the international counterrevolution, you took up 武器 against the 先導 of the world proletarian 革命! You took up 武器 against the liberty and happiness of the peoples. The comparison with the period of Narodnaya Volya テロ行為 is shameless. Filled with 尊敬(する)・点 for the memory of those who in the times of the Narodnaya Volya 心から and honestly, although 雇うing, it is true, their own special, but always irreproachable methods, fought against the tsarist 専制政治 for liberty - I emphatically 拒絶する this sacrilegious 平行の. I repeat, this 平行の is out of place here. Before us are 犯罪のs, dangerous, 常習的な, cruel and ruthless に向かって our people, に向かって our ideals, に向かって the leaders of our struggle, the leaders of the land of Soviets, the leaders of the toilers of the whole world!
The enemy is cunning. A cunning enemy must not be spared. The whole people rose to its feet as soon as these 恐ろしい 罪,犯罪s became known. The whole people is quivering with indignation and I, as the 代表者/国会議員 of the 明言する/公表する 起訴, join my 怒り/怒る, the indignant 発言する/表明する of the 明言する/公表する 検察官,検事, to the rumbling of the 発言する/表明するs of millions!
I want to 結論する by reminding you, comrades 裁判官s, of those 需要・要求するs which the 法律 makes in 事例/患者s of the gravest 罪,犯罪s against the 明言する/公表する. I take the liberty of reminding you that it is your 義務, once you find these people, all sixteen of them, 有罪の of 罪,犯罪s against the 明言する/公表する, to 適用する to them in 十分な 手段 those articles of the 法律 which have been preferred against them by the 起訴.
I 需要・要求する that dogs gone mad should be 発射 - every one of them!
