Just as there is not a 選び出す／独身 thing in the world without a 二重の nature (this is the 法律 of the まとまり of opposites), so 帝国主義 and all reactionaries have a 二重の nature - they are real tigers and paper tigers at the same time. In past history, before they won 明言する／公表する 力／強力にする and for some time afterwards, the slave-owning class, the 封建的 landlord class and the bourgeoisie were vigorous, 革命の and 進歩／革新的な; they were real tigers. But with the lapse of time, because their opposites - the slave class, the 小作農民 class and the proletariat - grew in strength step by step, struggled against them more and more ひどく, these 判決，裁定 classes changed step by step into the 逆転する, changed into reactionaries, changed into backward people, changed into paper tigers. And 結局 they were overthrown, or will be overthrown, by the people. The reactionary, backward, decaying classes 保持するd this 二重の nature even in their last life-and-death struggles against the people. On the one 手渡す, they were real tigers; they devoured people, devoured people by the millions and tens of millions. The 原因（となる） of the people's struggle went through a period of difficulties and hardships, and along the path there were many 新たな展開s and turns. To destroy the 支配する of 帝国主義, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism in 中国 took the Chinese people more than a hundred years and cost them tens of millions of lives before the victory in 1949. Look! Were these not living tigers, アイロンをかける tigers, real tigers? But in the end they changed into paper tigers, dead tigers, bean-curd tigers. These are historical facts. Have people not seen or heard about these facts? There have indeed been thousands and tens of thousands of them ! Thousands and tens of thousands ! Hence, 帝国主義 and all reactionaries, looked at in essence, from a long-称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 point of 見解（をとる）, frorm a 戦略の point of 見解（をとる）, must be seen for what they are - paper tigers. On this we should build our 戦略の thinking. On the other 手渡す, they are also living tigers, アイロンをかける tigers, rea l tigers which can devour people. On this we should build our 戦術の thinking.

I have said that all the reputedly powerful reactionaries are 単に paper tigers. The 推論する／理由 is that they are 離婚d from the people. Look! Was not Hitler a paper tiger? Was Hitler not overthrown? I also said that the tsar of Russia, the emperor of 中国 and Japanese 帝国主義 were all paper tigers. As we know, they were all overthrown. U.S. 帝国主義 has not yet been overthrown and it has the 原子 爆弾. I believe it also will be overthrown. It, too, is a paper tiger.

"解除するing a 激しく揺する only to 減少（する） it on one's own feet" is a Chinese folk 説 to 述べる the behaviour of 確かな fools. The reactionaries in all countries are fools of this 肉親，親類d. In the final 分析, their 迫害 of the 革命の people only serves to 加速する the people's 革命s on a broader and more 激しい 規模. Did not the 迫害 of the 革命の people by the tsar of Russia and by Chiang Kai-shek 成し遂げる this 機能（する）／行事 in the 広大な／多数の／重要な ロシアの and Chinese 革命s?

"Speech at the 会合 of the 最高会議 of the U.S.S.R. in 祝賀 of the 40th 周年記念日 of the 広大な／多数の／重要な October 社会主義者 革命" (November 6, 1957).

U.S. 帝国主義 侵略するd 中国's 領土 of Taiwan and has 占領するd it for the past nine years. A short while ago it sent its 武装した 軍隊s to 侵略する and 占領する Lebanon. The 部隊d 明言する／公表するs has 始める，決める up hundreds of 軍の bases in many countries all over the world. 中国's 領土 of Taiwan, Lebanon and all 軍の bases of the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs on foreign 国／地域 are so many nooses 一連の会議、交渉／完成する the neck of U.S. 帝国主義. The nooses have been fashioned by the Americans themselves and by nobody else, and it is they themselves who have put these nooses 一連の会議、交渉／完成する their own necks, 手渡すing the ends of the ropes to the Chinese people, the peoples of the Arab countries and all the peoples of the world who love peace and …に反対する 侵略. The longer the U.S. 攻撃者s remain in those places, the tighter the nooses 一連の会議、交渉／完成する their necks will become.

帝国主義 will not last long because it always does evil things. It 固執するs in grooming and supporting reactionaries in all countries who are against the people, it has 強制的に 掴むd many 植民地s and 半分-植民地s and many 軍の bases, and it 脅すs the peace with 原子の war. Thus, 軍隊d by 帝国主義 to do so, more than 90 per cent of the people of the world are rising or will rise up in struggle against it. Yet 帝国主義 is still alive, still running amuck in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In the West 帝国主義 is still 抑圧するing the people at home. This 状況／情勢 must change. It is the 仕事 of the people of the whole world to put an end to the 侵略 and 圧迫 （罪などを）犯すd by 帝国主義, and 主として by U.S. 帝国主義.

Interview with a Hsinhua News 機関 特派員 (September 29, 1958).

Riding roughshod everywhere, U.S. 帝国主義 has made itself the enemy of the people of the world and has ますます 孤立するd itself. Those who 辞退する to be enslaved will never be cowed by the 原子 爆弾s and hydrogen 爆弾s in the 手渡すs of the U.S. 帝国主義のs. The 激怒（する）ing tide of the people of the world against the U.S. 攻撃者s is irresistible. Their struggle against U.S. 帝国主義 and its lackeys will assuredly 勝利，勝つ still greater victories.

If the U.S. monopoly 資本主義者 groups 固執する in 押し進めるing their 政策s of 侵略 and war, the day is bound to come when they will be hanged by the people of the whole world. The same 運命／宿命 を待つs the 共犯者s of the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs.

Over a long period we have developed this 概念 for the struggle against the enemy: strategically we should despise all our enemies, but tactically we should take them all 本気で. This also means that we must despise the enemy with 尊敬（する）・点 to the whole, but that we must take him 本気で with 尊敬（する）・点 to each and every 固める／コンクリート question. If we do not despise the enemy with 尊敬（する）・点 to the whole, we shall be committing the error of opportunism. Marx and Engels were only two individuals, and yet in those 早期に days they already 宣言するd that capitalism would be overthrown throughout the world. But in 取引，協定ing with 固める／コンクリート problems and particular enemies we shall be committing the error of adventurism unless we take them 本気で. In war, 戦う／戦いs can only be fought one by one and the enemy 軍隊s can only be destroyed one by one. Factories can only be built one by one. The 小作農民s can only plough the land 陰謀（を企てる） by 陰謀（を企てる）. The same is even true of eating a meal. Strategically, we take the eating of a meal lightly - we know we can finish it. But 現実に we eat it mouthful by mouthful. It is impossible to swallow an entire 祝宴 in one gulp. This is known as a piecemeal 解答. In 軍の parlance, it is called wiping out the enemy 軍隊s one by one.

It is my opinion that the 国際情勢 has now reached a new turning point. There are two 勝利，勝つd in the world today, the East 勝利，勝つd and the West 勝利，勝つd. There is a Chinese 説, "Either the East 勝利，勝つd 勝つ／広く一帯に広がるs over the West 勝利，勝つd or the West 勝利，勝つd 勝つ／広く一帯に広がるs over the East 勝利，勝つd." I believe it is characteristic of the 状況／情勢 today that the East 勝利，勝つd is 勝つ／広く一帯に広がるing over the West 勝利，勝つd. That is to say, the 軍隊s of 社会主義 have become 圧倒的に superior to the 軍隊s of 帝国主義.
