In the 条件s 勝つ/広く一帯に広がるing in 中国 today, the contradictions の中で the people 構成する the contradictions within the working class, the contradictions within the peasantry, the contradictions within the 知識階級, the contradictions between the working class and the peasantry, the contradictions between the 労働者s and 小作農民s on the one 手渡す and the 知識人s on the other, the contradictions between the working class and other sections of the working people on the one 手渡す and the 国家の bourgeoisie on the other, the contradictions within the 国家の bourgeoisie, and so on. The contradictions between ourselves and the enemy are antagonistic contradictions. Within the 階級s of the people, the contradictions の中で the working people are 非,不,無-antagonistic, while those between the 偉業/利用するd and the 偉業/利用するing classes have a 非,不,無-antagonistic 面 in 新規加入 to an antagonistic 面.

In the political life of our people, how should 権利 be distinguished from wrong in one's words and 活動/戦闘s? On the basis of the 原則s of our 憲法, the will of the 圧倒的な 大多数 of our people and the ありふれた political positions which have been 布告するd on さまざまな occasions by our 政党s and groups, we consider that, 概して speaking, the 基準 should be as follows:
(1) Words and 活動/戦闘s should help to 部隊, and not divide, the people of our さまざまな 国籍s.
(2) They should be 有益な, and not harmful, to 社会主義者 変形 and 社会主義者 construction.
(3) They should help to 強固にする/合併する/制圧する, and not 土台を崩す or 弱める, the people's democratic 独裁政治.
(4) They should help to 強固にする/合併する/制圧する, and not 土台を崩す or 弱める, democratic centralism.
(5) They should help to 強化する, and not discard or 弱める, the leadership of the 共産主義者 Party.
(6) They should be 有益な, and not harmful, to international 社会主義者 まとまり and the まとまり of the peace-loving people of the world.
Of these six 基準, the most important are the 社会主義者 path and the leadership of the Party.

The question of 抑えるing counterrevolutionaries is one of a struggle between ourselves and the enemy, a contradiction between ourselves and the enemy. の中で the people, there are some who see this question in a somewhat different light. Two 肉親,親類d of persons 持つ/拘留する 見解(をとる)s different from ours. Those with a 右翼の人 way of thinking make no distinction between ourselves and the enemy and take the enemy for our own people. They regard as friends the very persons whom the 幅の広い 集まりs regard as enemies. Those with a "Left" way of thinking magnify contradictions between ourselves and the enemy to such an extent that they take 確かな contradictions の中で the people for contradictions with the enemy and regard as 反対する-revolutionariei persons who are 現実に not 反対する-革命のs. Qualitatively different contradictions can only be 解決するd by qualitatively different methods. For instance, the contradiction between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie is 解決するd by the method of 社会主義者 革命; the contradiction between the 広大な/多数の/重要な 集まりs of the people and the 封建的 system is 解決するd by the method of democratic 革命; the contradiction between the 植民地s and 帝国主義 is 解決するd by the method of 国家の 革命の war; the contradiction between the working class and the 小作農民 class in 社会主義者 society is 解決するd by the method of collectivization and mechanization in 農業; contradiction within the 共産主義者 Party is 解決するd by the method of 批評 and self-批評; the contradiction between society and nature is 解決するd by the method of developing the 生産力のある 軍隊s. . . . Since they are different in nature, the contradictions between ourselves and the enemy and the contradictions の中で the people must be 解決するd by different methods. To put it 簡潔に, the former are a 事柄 of 製図/抽選 a (疑いを)晴らす distinction between ourselves and the enemy, and the latter a 事柄 of 製図/抽選 a (疑いを)晴らす distinction between 権利 and wrong. The only way to settle questions of an 観念的な nature or 議論の的になる 問題/発行するs の中で the people is by the democratic method, the method of discussion, of 批評, of 説得/派閥 and education, and not by the method of coercion or repression.
To be able to carry on their 生産/産物 and 熟考する/考慮するs 効果的に and to arrange their lives 適切に, the people want their 政府 and those in 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 of 生産/産物 and of cultural and 教育の organizations to 問題/発行する appropriate orders of an obligatory nature. It is ありふれた sense that the 維持/整備 of public order would be impossible without such 行政の 規則s. 行政の orders and the method of 説得/派閥 and education complement each other in 解決するing contradictions の中で the people. Even 行政の 規則s for the 維持/整備 of public order must be …を伴ってd by 説得/派閥 and education, for in many 事例/患者s 規則s alone will not work.

必然的に, the bourgeoisie and petty bourgeoisie will give 表現 to their own ideologies. 必然的に, they will stubbornly 表明する themselves on political and 観念的な questions by every possible means. You cannot 推定する/予想する them to do さもなければ. We should not use the method of 鎮圧 and 妨げる them from 表明するing themselves, but should 許す them to do so and at the same time argue with them and direct appropriate 批評 at them. We must undoubtedly 非難する wrong ideas of every description. It certainly would not be 権利 to 差し控える from 批評, look on while wrong ideas spread unchecked and 許す them to 独占する the field. Mistakes must be 非難するd and poissnous 少しのd fought wherever they 刈る up. However, such 批評 should not be dogmatic, and the metaphysical method should not be used, but 成果/努力s should be made to 適用する the dialectical method. What is needed is 科学の 分析 and 納得させるing argument.

To 非難する the people's shortcomings is necessary, . . . but in doing so we must truly take the stand of the people and speak out of whole-hearted 切望 to 保護する and educate them. To 扱う/治療する comrades like enemies is to go over to the stand of the enemy.

Contradiction and struggle are 全世界の/万国共通の and 絶対の, but the methods of 解決するing contradictions, that is, the forms of struggle, 異なる によれば the differences in the nature of the contradictions. Some contradictions are characterized by open antagonism, others are not. In ordinary circumstances, contradictions の中で the people are not antagonistic. But if they are not 扱うd 適切に, or if we relax our vigilance and lower our guard, antagonism may arise. In our country, the contradiction between the working class and the 国家の bourgeoisie belongs to the 部類 of contradictions の中で the people. By and large, the class struggle between the two is a class struggle within the 階級s of the people, because the Chinese 国家の bourgeoisie has a 二重の character. In the period of the bourgeois-democratic 革命, it had both a 革命の and a conciliationist 味方する to its character. In the period of the 社会主義者 革命, 開発/利用 of the working class for 利益(をあげる) 構成するs one 味方する of the character of the 国家の bourgeoisie, while its support of the 憲法 and its 乗り気 to 受託する 社会主義者 変形 構成する the other. The 国家の bourgeoisie 異なるs from the 帝国主義のs, the landlords and the bureaucrat-資本主義者s. The contradiction between the 国家の bourgeoisie and the working class is one between the exploiter and the 偉業/利用するd, and is by nature antagonistic. But in the 固める/コンクリート 条件s of 中国, this antagonistic class contradiction can, if 適切に 扱うd, be transformed into a 非,不,無-antagonistic one and be 解決するd by 平和的な methods. However, it will change into a contradiction between ourselves and the enemy if we do not 扱う it 適切に and do not follow the 政策 of 部隊ing with, 非難するing and educating the 国家の bourgeoisie, or if the 国家の bourgeoisie does not 受託する this 政策 of ours.
