Diligence and frugality should be practised in running factories and shops and all 明言する／公表する-owned, co-operative and other 企業s. The 原則 of diligence and frugality should be 観察するd in everything. This 原則 of economy is one of the basic 原則s of 社会主義者 経済的なs. 中国 is a big country, but she is still very poor. It will take several １０年間s to make 中国 繁栄する. Even then we will still have to 観察する the 原則 of diligence and frugality. But it is in the coming few １０年間s, during the 現在の 一連の five-year 計画（する）s, that we must sparticularly 支持する diligence and frugality, that we must 支払う／賃金 special attention to economy.

Wherever we happen to be, we must treasure our 動員可能数 and 構成要素 資源s, and must not take a short 見解（をとる） and indulge in wastefulness and extravagance. Wherever we are, from the very first year of our work we must 耐える in mind the many years to come, the 長引いた war that must be 持続するd, the 反対する-不快な／攻撃, and the work of 再建 after the enemy's 追放. On the one 手渡す, never be wasteful or extravagant; on the other, 活発に 拡大する 生産／産物. 以前, in some places people 苦しむd a 広大な／多数の／重要な 取引，協定 because they did not take the long 見解（をとる） and neglected economy in 動員可能数 and 構成要素 資源s and the 拡大 of 生産／産物. The lesson is there and attention must be called to it.

ーするために 速度(を上げる） up this 復古／返還 and 開発 [of 農業の 生産／産物 and 産業の 生産／産物 in small towns], we must do our 最大の, in the course of our struggle for the 廃止 of the 封建的 system, to 保存する all useful means of 生産／産物 and of 暮らし, take resolute 対策 against anyone's destroying or wasting them, …に反対する extravagant eating and drinking and 支払う／賃金 attention to thrift and economy.

Thrift should be the guiding 原則 in our 政府 支出. It should be made （疑いを）晴らす to all 政府 労働者s that 汚職 and waste are very 広大な／多数の／重要な 罪，犯罪s. Our （選挙などの）運動をするs against 汚職 and waste havc already 達成するd some results, but その上の 成果／努力s are 要求するd. Our system of accounting must be guided by the 原則 of saving every 巡査 for the war 成果／努力, for the 革命の 原因（となる） and for our 経済的な construction.

A dangerous 傾向 has shown itself of late の中で many of our 職員／兵員 - an 不本意 to 株 the joys and hardships of the 集まりs, a 関心 for personal fame and 伸び（る）. This is very bad. One way of 打ち勝つing it is to 簡単にする our organizations in the course of our （選挙などの）運動をする to 増加する 生産／産物 and practise economy, and to 移転 cadres to lower levels so that a かなりの number will return to 生産力のある work.

生産／産物 by the army for its own support has not only 改善するd the army's living 条件s and lightened the 重荷（を負わせる） on the people, その為に making it possible その上の to 拡大する the army. In 新規加入, it has had many 即座の 味方する-影響s. They are as follows:

(1) 改善するd relations between officers and men. Officers and men work

together in 生産／産物 and become like brothers.

(2) Better 態度 to 労働.... since the army began to produce for its own support, the 態度 to 労働 has 改善するd and loafer ways have been 打ち勝つ.

(3) 強化するd discipline. Far from 弱めるing discipline in 戦う／戦い and in army life, 労働 discipline in 生産／産物 現実に 強化するs it.

(4) 改善するd relations between the army and the people. Once an 武装した 軍隊 begins tG "keep house" for itself, encroachments upon the 所有物／資産／財産 of the people seldom or never occur. As the army and the people 交流 労働 and help each other in 生産／産物, the friendship between them is 強化するd.

(5) いっそう少なく 不平（をいう）ing in the army about the 政府 and 改善するd relations between the two.

(6) An impetus to the 広大な／多数の／重要な 生産／産物 （選挙などの）運動をする of the people. Once the army engages in 生産／産物, the need for 政府 and other organizations to do likewise becomes more obvious, and they do so more energetically; also, the need for a 全世界の／万国共通の （選挙などの）運動をする of the whole people to 増加する 生産／産物 自然に becomes more obvious, and this too is carried on more energetically.

Some people say that if the army 部隊s go in for 生産／産物, they will be unable to train or fight and that if the 政府 and other organizations do so, they will be unable to do their own work. This is a 誤った argument. In 最近の years our army 部隊s in the 国境 地域 have undertaken 生産／産物 on a big 規模 to 供給する themselves with ample food and 着せる／賦与するing and have 同時に done their training and 行為／行うd their political 熟考する／考慮するs and literacy and other courses much more 首尾よく than before, and there is greater まとまり than ever within the army and between the army and the people. While there was a large-規模 生産／産物 （選挙などの）運動をする at the 前線 last year, 広大な／多数の／重要な successes were 伸び（る）d in the fighting and in 新規加入 an 広範囲にわたる training （選挙などの）運動をする was started. And thanks to 生産／産物, the 職員／兵員 of the 政府 and other organizations live a better life and work with greater devotion and efficiency; this is the 事例／患者 both in the 国境 地域 and at the 前線.
