(1) That the English Church shall be 解放する/自由な, and shall have her whole 権利s and her liberties inviolable; and we will this to be 観察するd in such a manner, that it may appear from thence, that the freedom of 選挙s, which was という評判の most requisite to the English Church, which we 認めるd, and by our 借り切る/憲章 確認するd, and 得るd the 確定/確認 of the same, from our Lord ローマ法王 Innocent the Third, before the 決裂 between us and our Barons, was of our own 解放する/自由な will: which 借り切る/憲章 we shall 観察する, and we will it to be 観察するd with good 約束, by our 相続人s for ever.

We have also 認めるd to all the Freemen of our Kingdom, for us and our 相続人s for ever, all the underwritten Liberties, to be enjoyed and held by them and by their 相続人s, from us and from our 相続人s.

(2) If any of our Earls or Barons, or others who 持つ/拘留する of us in 長,指導者 by 軍の service, shall die, and at his death his 相続人 shall be of 十分な age, and shall 借りがある a 救済, he shall have his 相続物件 by the 古代の 救済; that is to say, the 相続人 or 相続人s of an Earl, a whole Earl's Barony for one hundred 続けざまに猛撃するs: the 相続人 or 相続人s of a Baron for a whole Barony, by one hundred 続けざまに猛撃するs; the 相続人 or 相続人s of a Knight, for a whole Knight's 料金, by one hundred shillings at most: and he who 借りがあるs いっそう少なく, shall give いっそう少なく, によれば the 古代の custom of 料金s.

(3) But if the 相続人 of any such be under age, and in wardship, when he comes to age he shall have his 相続物件 without 救済 and without 罰金.

(4) The warden of the land of such 相続人 who shall be under age, shall not take from the lands of the 相続人 any but reasonable 問題/発行するs, and reasonable customs, and reasonable services, and the without 破壊 and waste of the men or goods, and if we commit the 保護/拘留 of any such lands to a 郡保安官, or any other person who is bound to us for the 問題/発行するs of them and he shall make 破壊 or waste upon the 区- lands we will 回復する 損害賠償金 from him and the lands shall be committed to two lawful and 控えめの men of that 料金, who shall answer for the 問題/発行するs to us, or to him to whom we have 割り当てるd them. And if we shall give or sell to any one the 保護/拘留 of any such lands, and he shall make 破壊 or waste upon them, he shall lose the 保護/拘留; and it shall be committed to two lawful and 控えめの men of that 料金, who shall answer to us in like manner as it is said before.

(5) But the warden, as long as he hath the 保護/拘留 of the lands, shall keep up and 持続する the houses, parks, 過密な住居s, ponds, mills, and other things belonging to them, our of their 問題/発行するs; and shall 回復する to the 相続人 when he comes of 十分な age, his whole 広い地所, 供給するd with ploughs and other 器具/実施するs of husbandry, (許可,名誉などを)与えるing as the time of Wainage shall 要求する, and the 問題/発行するs of the lands can reasonably afford.

(6) 相続人s shall be married without disparagement, so that before the marriage be 契約d, it shall be 通知するd to the relations of the 相続人 by consanguinity.

(7) A 未亡人, after the death of her husband, shall すぐに, and without difficulty have her marriage and her 相続物件; nor shall she give any thing for her dower, or for her marriage, or for her 相続物件, which her husband and she held at the day of his death: and she may remain in her husband's house forty days after his death, within which time her dower shall be 割り当てるd.

(8) No 未亡人 shall be compelled to marry herself, while she is willing to live without a husband; but yet she shall give 安全 that she will not marry herself without our 同意, if she 持つ/拘留する of us, or without the 同意 of the lord of whom she does 持つ/拘留する, if she 持つ/拘留する of another.

(9) Neither we nor our (強制)執行官s, will 掴む any land or rent for any 負債, while the chattels of the debtor are 十分な for the 支払い(額) of the 負債; nor shall the sureties of the debtor be compelled, while the 主要な/長/主犯 debtor is able to 支払う/賃金 the 負債; and if the 主要な/長/主犯 debtor fail in 支払い(額) of the 負債, not having wherewith to 発射する/解雇する it, the sureties shall answer for the 負債; and if they be willing, they shall have the lands and rents of the debtor, until satisfaction be made to them for the 負債 which they had before paid for him, unless the 主要な/長/主犯 debtor can shew himself acquitted thereof against the said sureties.

(10) If any one hath borrowed any thing from the Jews, more or いっそう少なく, and die before that 負債 be paid, the 負債 shall 支払う/賃金 no 利益/興味 so long as the 相続人 shall be under age, of whomsoever he may 持つ/拘留する; and if that 負債 shall 落ちる into our 手渡すs, we will not take any thing except the chattel 含む/封じ込めるd in the 社債,

(11) And if any one shall die indebted to the Jews, his wife shall have her dower and shall 支払う/賃金 nothing of that 負債; and if children of the 死んだ shall remain who are under age, necessaries shall be 供給するd for them, によれば the tenement which belonged to the 死んだ: and out of the residue the 負債 shall be paid, saving the 権利s of the lords (of whom the lands are held.) (12) No scutage nor 援助(する) shall be 課すd in our kingdom, unless by the ありふれた 会議 of our kingdom; excepting to redeem our person, to make our eldest son a knight, and once to marry our eldest daughter, and not for these, unless a reasonable 援助(する) shall be 需要・要求するd.

(13) In like manner let it be 関心ing the 援助(する)s of the City of London.- And the City of London should have all it's 古代の liberties, and it's 解放する/自由な customs, 同様に by land as by water.- その上に, we will and 認める that all other Cities, and Burghs, and Towns, and Ports, should have all their liberties and 解放する/自由な customs.

(15) We will not give leave to any one, for the 未来, to take an 援助(する) of his own 解放する/自由な-men, except for redeeming his own 団体/死体, and for making his eldest son a knight, and for marrying once his eldest daughter; and not that unless it be a reasonable 援助(する).

(16) 非,不,無 shall be compelled to do more service for a Knight's-料金, nor for any other 解放する/自由な tenement, than what is 予定 from thence.

(17) ありふれた 嘆願s shall not follow our 法廷,裁判所, but shall be held in any 確かな place.

(18) 裁判,公判s upon the 令状s of Novel Disseisin, Of Mort d'Ancestre (death of the ancestor), and Darrien Presentment (last 贈呈), shall not be taken but in their proper 郡s, and in this manner:- We, or our 長,指導者 Justiciary, if we are out of the kingdom, will send two Justiciaries into each 郡, four times in the year, who, with four knights of each 郡, chosen by the 郡, shall 持つ/拘留する the aforesaid assizes, within the 郡 on the day, and at the place 任命するd.

(19) And if the aforesaid assizes cannot be taken on the day of the 郡-法廷,裁判所, let as many knights and freeholders, of those who were 現在の at the 郡-法廷,裁判所 remain behind, as shall be 十分な to do 司法(官), によれば the 広大な/多数の/重要な or いっそう少なく importance of the 商売/仕事.

(20) A 解放する/自由な-man shall not be 罰金d for a small offence, but only によれば the degree of the offence; and for a 広大な/多数の/重要な delinquency, によれば the magnitude of the delinquency, saving his contenement: a Merchant shall be 罰金d in the same manner, saving his 商品/売買する, and a villain shall be 罰金d after the same manner, saving to him his Wainage, if he shall 落ちる into our mercy; and 非,不,無 of the aforesaid 罰金s shall be 査定する/(税金などを)課すd, but by the 誓い of honest men of the vicinage.

(21) Earls and Barons shall not be 罰金d but by their Peers, and that only によれば the degree of their delinquency.

(22) No Clerk shall be 罰金d for his lay-tenement, but によれば the manner of the others as aforesaid, and not によれば the 量 of his ecclesiastical benefice.

(23) Neither a town nor any person shall be compelled to build 橋(渡しをする)s or 堤防s, excepting those which anciently, and of 権利, are bound to do it.

(24) No 郡保安官, Constable, 検死官s, nor other of our (強制)執行官s, shall 持つ/拘留する 嘆願s of our 栄冠を与える.

(25) All 郡s, and Hundreds, Trethings, and Wapontakes, shall be at the 古代の rent, without any 増加する, excepting in our Demesne-manors.

(26) If any one 持つ/拘留するing of us a lay-料金 dies, and the 郡保安官 or our (強制)執行官, shall shew our letters- 特許 of 召喚するs 関心ing the 負債 which the 消滅した/死んだ 借りがあるd to us, it shall be lawful for the 郡保安官 or our (強制)執行官 to attach and 登録(する) the chattels of the 消滅した/死んだ 設立する on that lay-料金, to the 量 of that 負債, by the 見解(をとる) of lawful men, so that nothing shall be 除去するd from thence until our 負債 be paid to us; and the 残り/休憩(する) shall be left to the executors to fulfil the will of the 消滅した/死んだ; and if nothing be 借りがあるing to us by him, all the chattels shall 落ちる to the 消滅した/死んだ, saving to his wife and children their reasonable 株.

(27) If any 解放する/自由な-man shall die intestate, his chattels shall be 分配するd by the 手渡すs of his nearest relations and friends, by the 見解(をとる) of the Church, saving to every one the 負債s which the 消滅した/死んだ 借りがあるd.

(28) No Constable nor other (強制)執行官 of ours shall take the corn or other goods of any one, without 即時に 支払う/賃金ing money for them, unless he can 得る 一時的休止,執行延期 from the 解放する/自由な will of the 販売人.

(29) No Constable (知事 of a 城) shall 強要する any Knight to give money for 城-guard, if he be willing to 成し遂げる it in his own person, or by another able man, if he cannot 成し遂げる it himself, for a reasonable 原因(となる): and if we have carried or sent him into the army, he shall be excused from 城-guard, によれば the time that he shall be in the army by our 命令(する).

(30) No 郡保安官 nor (強制)執行官 of ours, nor any other person shall take the horses or carts of any 解放する/自由な-man, for the 目的 of carriage, without the 同意 of the said 解放する/自由な-man.

(31) Neither we, nor our (強制)執行官s, will take another man's 支持を得ようと努めるd, for our 城s or other uses, unless by the 同意 of him to whom the 支持を得ようと努めるd belongs.

(32) We will not 保持する the lands of those who have been 罪人/有罪を宣告するd of 重罪, excepting for one year and one day, and then they shall be given up to the lord of the 料金.

(33) All kydells (wears) for the 未来 shall be やめる 除去するd our of the Thames, and the Medway, and through all England, excepting upon the sea-coast.

(34) The 令状 which is called Praecipe, for the 未来 shall not be 認めるd to any one of any tenement, by which a 解放する/自由な-man may lose his 法廷,裁判所.

(35) There shall be one 手段 of ワイン throughout all our kingdom, and one 手段 of ale, and one 手段 of corn, すなわち the 4半期/4分の1 of London; and one breadth of dyed cloth, and of russets, and of halberjects, すなわち, two ells within the 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)s. Also it shall be the same with 負わせるs as with 対策.

(36) Nothing shall be given or taken for the 未来 for the 令状 of Inquisition of life or 四肢; but it shall be given without 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金, and not 否定するd.

(37) If any 持つ/拘留する of us by 料金-Farm or Socage, or Burgage, and 持つ/拘留する land of another by 軍の Service, we will not have the 保護/拘留 of the 相続人, nor of his lands, which are of the 料金 of another, on account of that 料金-Farm, or Socage, or Burgage; nor will we have the 保護/拘留 of the 料金-Farm, Socage or Burgage, unless the 料金-Farm 借りがある 軍の Service. We will not have the 保護/拘留 of the 相続人, nor of the lands of any one, which he 持つ/拘留するs of another by 軍の Service, on account of any Petty-Sergeantry which he 持つ/拘留するs of us by the service of giving us daggers, or arrows, or the like.

(38) No (強制)執行官, for the 未来, shall put any man to his 法律, upon his own simple affirmation, without 信頼できる 証言,証人/目撃するs produced for the 目的.

(39) No freeman shall be 掴むd, or 拘留するd, or dispossessed, or 無法者d, or in any way destroyed; nor will we 非難する him, nor will we commit him to 刑務所,拘置所, excepting by the 合法的な 裁判/判断 of his peers, or by the 法律s of the land.

(40) To 非,不,無 will we sell, to 非,不,無 will we 否定する, to 非,不,無 will we 延期する 権利 or 司法(官).

(41) All Merchants shall have safety and 安全 in coming into England, and going out of England, and in staying and in travelling through England, 同様に by lands as by water, to buy and sell, without any 不正な exactions, によれば 古代の and 権利 customs, excepting the time of war, and if they be of a country at war against us: and if such are 設立する in our land at the beginning of a war, they shall be apprehended without 傷害 of their 団体/死体s and goods, until it be known to us, or to our 長,指導者 Justiciary, how the Merchants of our country are 扱う/治療するd who are 設立する in the country at war against us; and if ours be in safety there, the others shall be in safety in our land.

(42) It shall be lawful to any person, for the 未来, to go out of our kingdom, and to return, 安全に and securely, by land or by water, saving his 忠誠 to us, unless it be in time of war, for some short space, for the ありふれた good of the kingdom: excepting 囚人s and 無法者s, によれば the 法律s of the land, and of the people of the nation at war against us, and Merchants who shall be 扱う/治療するd as it is said above.

(43) If any 持つ/拘留する of any escheat, as of the 栄誉(を受ける) of Wallingford, Nottingham, Boulogne, Lancaster, or of other escheats which are in our 手渡す, and are Baronies, and shall die, his 相続人 shall not give any other 救済, nor do any other service to us, than he should have done to the Baron, if that Barony had been in the 手渡すs of the Baron; and we will 持つ/拘留する it in the same manner that the Baron held it.

(44) Men who dwell without the Forest, shall not come, for the 未来, before our Justiciaries of the Forest on a ありふれた 召喚するs; unless they be parties in a 嘆願, or sureties for some person or persons who are 大(公)使館員d for the Forest.

(45) We will not make Justiciaries, Constables, 郡保安官s, or (強制)執行官s, excepting of such as know the 法律s of the land, and are 井戸/弁護士席 性質の/したい気がして to 観察する them.

(46) All Barons who have 設立するd Abbies, which they 持つ/拘留する by 借り切る/憲章s from the Kings of England, or by 古代の 任期, shall have the 保護/拘留 of them when they become 空いている, as they せねばならない have.

(47) All Forests which have been made in our time, shall be すぐに disafforested; and it shall be so done with Water-banks, which have been taken or 盗品故買者d in by us during our 統治する.

(51) And すぐに after the 結論 of the peace, we will 除去する out of the kingdom all foreign knights, crossbow-men, and stipendiary 兵士s, who have come with horses and 武器 to the molestation of the kingdom.

(54) No man shall be apprehended or 拘留するd on the 控訴,上告 of a woman, for the death of any other man than her husband.

(55) All 罰金s that have been made by us 不正に, or contrary to the 法律s of the land; and all 罰金s that have been 課すd 不正に, or contrary to the 法律s of the land, shall be wholly remitted, or ordered by the 判決 of the twenty-five Barons, of whom について言及する is made below, for the 安全 of the peace, or by the 判決 of the greater part of them, together with the aforesaid Stephen, 大司教 of Canterbury, if he can be 現在の, and others whom he may think fit to bring with him: and if he cannot be 現在の, the 商売/仕事 shall proceed, notwithstanding, without him; but so, that if any one or more of the aforesaid twenty-five Barons have a 類似の 嘆願, let them be 除去するd from that particular 裁判,公判, and others elected and sworn by the residue of the same twenty-five, be 代用品,人d in their room, only for that 裁判,公判.

(56) If we have disseised or dispossessed any Welshmen of their lands, or liberties, or other things, without a 合法的な 判決 of their peers, in England or in むちの跡s, they shall be すぐに 回復するd to them; and if any 論争 shall arise upon this 長,率いる then let it be 決定するd in the Marches by the 判決 of their peers: for a tenement of England, によれば the 法律 of England; for a tenement of むちの跡s, によれば the 法律 of むちの跡s; for tenement of the Marches, によれば the 法律 of the Marches. (59) We shall do to Alexander King of Scotland, 関心ing the 復古/返還 of his sisters and 人質s, and his liberties and 権利s, によれば the form in which we 行為/法令/行動する to our other Barons of England, unless it せねばならない be さもなければ by the 借り切る/憲章s which we have from his father William, the late King of Scotland; and this shall be by the 判決 of his peers in our 法廷,裁判所.

(60) Also all these customs and liberties aforesaid, which we have 認めるd to be held in our kingdom, for so much of it as belongs to us, all our 支配するs, 同様に clergy as laity, shall 観察する に向かって their tenants as far as 関心s them.

(61) But since we have 認めるd all these things aforesaid, for GOD, and for the 改正 of our kingdom, and for the better 消滅させるing the discord which has arisen between us and our Barons, we 存在 desirous that these things should 所有する entire and unshaken 安定 for ever, give and 認める to them the 安全 underwritten; すなわち, that the Barons may elect twenty-five Barons of the kingdom, whom they please, who shall with their whole 力/強力にする, 観察する, keep, and 原因(となる) to be 観察するd, the peace and liberties which we have 認めるd to them, and have 確認するd by this our 現在の 借り切る/憲章, in this manner: that is to say, if we, or our Justiciary, or our (強制)執行官s, or any of our officers, shall have 負傷させるd any one in any thing, or shall have 侵害する/違反するd any article of the peace or 安全, and the 傷害 shall have been shown to four of the aforesaid twenty-five Barons, the said four Barons shall come to us, or to our Justiciary if we be out of the kingdom, and making known to us the 超過 committed, 嘆願(書) that we 原因(となる) that 超過 to be 是正するd without 延期する. And if we shall not have 是正するd the 超過, or, if we have been out of the kingdom, our Justiciary shall not have 是正するd it within the 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 of forty days, 計算するing from the time when it shall have been made known to us, or to our Justiciary if we have been out of the kingdom, the aforesaid four Barons, shall lay that 原因(となる) before the residue of the twenty-five Barons; and they, the twenty-five Barons, with the community of the whole land, shall 苦しめる and 悩ます us by all the ways in which they are able; that is to say, by the taking of our 城s, lands, and 所有/入手s, and by any other means in their 力/強力にする, until the 超過 shall have been 是正するd, によれば their 判決; saving 害のない our person, and the persons of our Queen and children; and when it hath been 是正するd, they shall behave to us as they have done before.

And whoever of our land pleaseth, may 断言する, that he will obey the 命令(する)s of the aforesaid twenty-five Barons, in 遂行するing all the things aforesaid, and that with them he will 悩ます us to the 最大の of his 力/強力にする: and we 公然と and 自由に give leave to every one to 断言する who is willing to 断言する; and we will never forbid any to 断言する. But all those of our land, who, of themselves, and of their own (許可,名誉などを)与える, are unwilling to 断言する to the twenty-five Barons, to 苦しめる and 悩ます us together with them, we will 強要する them by our 命令(する), to 断言する as aforesaid.

And if any one of the twenty-five Barons shall die, or 除去する out of the land, or in any other way shall be 妨げるd from 遂行する/発効させるing the things above said, they who remain of the twenty-five Barons shall elect another in his place, によれば their own 楽しみ, who shall be sworn in the same manner as the 残り/休憩(する).

In all those things which are 任命するd to be done by these twenty-five Barons, if it happen that all the twenty-five have been 現在の, and have 異なるd in their opinions about any thing, or if some of them who had been 召喚するd, would not, or could not be 現在の, that which the greater part of those who were 現在の shall have 供給するd and 法令d, shall be held as 会社/堅い and as valid, as if all the twenty-five had agreed in it: and the aforesaid twenty-five shall 断言する, that they will faithfully 観察する, and, with all their 力/強力にする, 原因(となる) to be 観察するd, all the things について言及するd above.

And we will 得る nothing from any one, by ourselves, nor by another, by which any of these 譲歩s and liberties may be 取り消すd or 減らすd. And if any such thing shall have been 得るd, let it be 無効の and null: and we will never use it, neither by ourselves nor by another.

(62) And we have fully remitted and 容赦d to all men, all the ill-will, rancor, and 憤慨s, which have arisen between us and our 支配するs, both clergy and laity, from the 開始/学位授与式 of the discord. Moreover, we have fully remitted to all the clergy and laity, and as far as belongs to us, have fully 容赦d all transgressions committed by occasion of the said discord, from 復活祭, in the sixteenth year of our 統治する, until the 結論 of the peace.

And, moreover, we have 原因(となる)d to be made to them testimonial letters-特許 of the Lord Stephen, 大司教 of Canterbury, the Lord Henry, 大司教 of Dublin, and of the aforesaid Bishops, and of Master Pandulph 関心ing this 安全, and the aforesaid 譲歩s.

(63) Wherefore, our will is and we 堅固に 命令(する) that the Church of England be 解放する/自由な, and that the men in our kingdom have and 持つ/拘留する the aforesaid liberties, 権利s, and 譲歩s, 井戸/弁護士席 and in peace, 自由に and 静かに, fully and 完全に, to them and their 相続人s, of us and our 相続人s, in all things and places, for ever as is aforesaid.

It is also sworn, both on our part, and on that of the Barons, that all the aforesaid shall be 観察するd in good 約束, and without any evil 意向. 証言,証人/目撃するd by the above, and many others.

Given by our 手渡す in the Meadow which is called Runningmead, between Windsor and Staines, this 15th day of June, in the 17th year of our 統治する.
