Max Klinger's "Ein Handschuh" (A Glove), 1881:

1. "Ort" (Place)
Technique: Etching and aquatint, size of actual image: 22.8 x 32.7 cm.

This 控訴 of ten etchings were published in several 版s from 1881 on, 初めは just called "A Glove", but later 肩書を与えるd "Paraphrase on the Finding of a Glove". It all starts at the 入り口 to a roller-skating rink in Berlin. To the far left is Klinger himself (with the dark 耐えるd), together with his painter friend Hermann Prell. Except for the man with the walking stick, all the people have their skates on, and still the picture is rather static. The only 活動/戦闘 is of course the little girl 宙返り/暴落するing over. She caughts only the attention of the dog. The main attraction in this picture is 明白に the lady to the 権利, already 法廷,裁判所d by two gentlemen 暴露するing their 長,率いるs. As the 肩書を与える 示唆するs, the 目的 of this image is to 設立する the scene, and the reflections in the windows, that keep us from seeing through, tell us that the outside world is - for the time 存在 anyway - to be regarded as of no importance. The 演劇 that 広げるs is a 演劇 from 内部の domains.
